No Gain, No Love
Arjun was a quiet young man from a small town, who believed love should be pure and effortless. He often mocked his friends who bent over backward trying to impress girls. "If she loves you," he'd say, "she’ll accept you as you are."
But everything changed when Meera joined his college. She was graceful, intelligent, and passionate about social causes. Arjun was drawn to her—something he'd never felt before. For the first time, he wanted to be seen. He wanted her to notice him.
So, he tried.
He started volunteering at the same NGO she was part of. He stayed up late studying so he could match her grades. He even learned the guitar just to sing one song she loved.
Months passed. Meera began to notice his sincerity—not just in how he spoke to her, but in how he treated others. She smiled at his jokes, sat next to him during lunch, and one day, asked him why he worked so hard.
He replied, “Because I realized that love isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you earn—with effort, with courage, and sometimes with change.”
She smiled and said, “Then I guess you’ve earned mine.”
Love isn’t free—it grows where effort is sown. No gain, no love.
