Y/N was late.
Her shoes hit the marble floor of Blackvale University with a nervous rhythm. Her backpack swung behind her as she ran, breaths shallow, heart hammering. It was her first day—and she was already breaking the one thing she promised herself: "Stay invisible. Don’t make noise. Don’t attract attention."
She didn’t know he had already noticed her.
She turned the corner sharply.
Thud.
She collided into something—no, someone. A hard, warm chest that smelled faintly of smoke and something darker—danger.
Y/N stumbled back, blinking.
Black shirt. Loose tie. Broad chest. Jaw carved from ice. And those eyes...
Cold. Deep. Watching.
The man didn’t move. His hand shot out, wrapping around her wrist like a steel cuff, holding her in place. He tilted his head slightly, eyes scanning her like he was reading secrets off her skin.
"Late," he murmured, voice low, deep, almost lazy.
"But not unnoticed."
Y/N swallowed, her throat dry. “I—I’m sorry, I didn’t see you—”
His grip tightened just enough to make her flinch.
“You don’t need to see me,” he said, eyes dropping to her lips.
“You just need to remember what I say.”
Before she could reply, he leaned in closer. His breath touched her cheek, his voice a whisper of command.
> “Rule One: Don’t touch me unless I allow it. You just broke it.”
Her eyes widened. “W-What? I didn’t mean—”
His fingers brushed her jaw, gently tilting her face up.
> “Rule Two: You don’t talk back.”
Fear danced with confusion in her eyes.
> “Who are you?”
His lips curled into something that wasn’t quite a smile.
> “You’ll find out soon enough, sweetheart.”
With that, he released her, brushing past her like she didn’t matter—yet still owned her completely.
She stood frozen.
Students around her whispered.
> “That’s Kim Taehyung…”
“He never talks to anyone.”
“He’s the one who got someone expelled just for looking at him with glare
“He’s untouchable. Rich. Dangerous.”
“Rumor says he runs the campus from the shadows…”
Her heart thudded louder.
She wasn’t invisible anymore.
She had touched the devil.
And now…
She was in his game.
