"I still can’t believe I have finished this book. It feels like a long, yet joyful journey that kept me captivated from start to finish. Fantasy, action, sci-fi—none are my usual genres, but if a story can hook me, it’s a clear sign that the author has put genuine effort into crafting it. Salem, your imagination truly shines through in what you’ve built. Every character is distinct and well-developed. Elara—the savage one—stands out with her fierce independence. Elias, our supportive and dependable companion—can’t wait to see them get married. Jericho and Atlas, both of them fights like real brother. All I can wish for is Atlas’ book collection. Lyra, whose name I had been mispronouncing throughout the book, has such a delightful sense of humor; she definitely feels like the youngest of the group. King Faris and Queen Ammarah are my favorites for sure—rulers who genuinely care about their kingdom are so rare; these two deserve all the love. Then there’s Void, a villain who literally boiled my blood. But as a good news, Cody is finally dead—YAY! This time, it feels like he’s gone forever, and that thought is incredibly satisfying. Each character’s backstory adds depth and emotional weight. Jericho’s story hit me hard—poor child never received the love he deserved. In the end, Moon Golem and Jericho finally reunite, providing a touching resolution. His backstory helped us connect with him on a deeper level, making his victories all the more meaningful. Lyra’s story also touched my heart. Celine died, leaving behind tears and memories that linger. I hated Jett—until he regretted his words, actions, and decisions. All the punishment he received felt justified, given his growth. The adventures these characters undertake are intense and thrilling. The scenes where they search for all the orbs kept me hooked—I binge-read the entire series in one go. When they finally reunite with their families after these ordeals, I felt a surge of happiness. Wholesome moments like these are my favorite. The ending provides a satisfying conclusion; however, we can’t forget that they are still stranded on the moon. They need to find a way back—there are many people at Sirth worth caring for. especially Elias. Elara’s reaction was totally valid. That said, here are a few areas that could be improved. Salem, you tend to explain a lot instead of showing. How about illustrating instead? Hilariously enough, I don’t see this as a major issue, but in a fantasy novel, showing rather than telling makes a significant difference. Instead of saying, she comforted her, you could write, she gently patted her shoulder—actions convey more depth. Other than that, this book is truly amazing. I can’t wait for the next book to come out and binge-read it all over again. Every fantasy enthusiast needs to give this series a chance. "

"I'm enjoying reading Spiral Moon (Book I). Salem Chabayta’s writing stands out⭐ The world is imaginative, emotional and full of magical elements that make the story feel alive. The relationships between the characters, such as the bonds with celestial guardians, are beautiful and heartfelt, and the emotional moments are very impactful. The final chapters are intense, with powerful battles and strong character growth. I love how the story balances action with emotion, showing both strength and vulnerability🖤 Fantasy is not usually my genre, but this story completely drew me in and made me genuinely appreciate it🤩 That says a lot about how engaging the writing is🖤!! It's a good story
"I admit that I am only on the fourth chapter. Since I still have to do some writing, I only got to that much. It's not that bad of a story. However, in my opinion, I feel like it is lacking details. Plus, it feels like the plot is going a little fast, especially in the first chapter. An example of a lack of detail. In one of the chapters, she fights against godlings. Now, fight scenes are not my best either. Even I'll admit that. However, unless I missed it, she never trained in sword, but somehow naturally managed to fight multiple godlins with one hit. Sure, she is the mfc and they can do many things, but even then, they would have limits. I recommend reading books in the same genres for pointers. (You don't have to, it's just a suggestion.) Now remember, I have only read to chapter four. I will edit this review as I read the book. Besides all that, for now it is a overal good book. "

"I remember how you clarified that this was your first fantasy series when it was first released. Honestly, it didn’t feel that way. From start to finish, you were a natural at this! Spiral Moon is one of the most GOATed books I’ve ever read on Inkitt (behind my own, of course 😏😝). Ignoring my conceit and toxic narcissistic tendencies, let’s take it from the top! You’ve got Elara — the most OP six-year-old known to man back in the day. You’ve got Lyra, OUR — yes, OUR — lovely little sister 🥰! You’ve got Atlas — GOAT. You’ve got Jericho — who was one fight with the Moon Golem away from being my favorite character ever, but I guess life is too cruel 🥲. Together, they make THE LUNATICS — I MEAN THE MYSTIC MOON NIGHTS 🤣. You’ve got their caretakers, their families, THEIR USELESS MOON CREATURES 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬... and plenty of more characters to come (sorry, that last part was a reflex 😊). The point is, the cast you assembled makes the series a whole lot easier to fall in love with. Sure, some of them are so irrelevant that I struggle to remember their names (looking at you, Signer 😏), some are self-hating humans (looking at you, Leandra 😏), some of them should’ve tried retirement life (looking at you, Faris 😏), but overall, I’m glad to have such a wonderful cast around. That’s not to mention the insane world building, with multiple locations and mysteries set up along the way (WHICH GETS REALLY BOTHERSOME SOMETIMES THEY’RE SO MANY OF THEM 😭😭😭😭😭😭)! And then, we have our LOVELY 😤, AMAZING 😤, TOTALLY NOT STUPID 😤 rogue gallery! First off, we’ve got... um... who were they again... ah, yes, the great Tector and the GREATER Otoscope! ... I might as well move on quickly, just like you with their screentime, nudge nudge 😏. We’ve got Henry, the man whose obnoxiousness can only be overshadowed by his serious need to undergo mental rehab. Intino, who is so meh that I don’t even put in effort into slandering her. Cody Pelsall, the man unfortunate enough to be on the kill-list of TWO Mystic Moon Knights! Jett SQUIDWARD, Lyra’s D1 hater. And last but not least (relatively not least), Void B#tchia, the man with the arrogance of Light Yagami and the intelligence of Misa Amane (Death Note references 😏). The series receives top marks, in particular, for world building and character-driven storytelling. The Mystic Moon Knights Arc (searching for the Mystic Moon Knights) is the best in the entire book, in my opinion. That’s not to say that the action is lacking. Quite the opposite, it gets increasingly more intense and thrilling the further we dig into this series. As I’ve emphasized before, you’re one memorable villain away from greatness, and I think Thrax is that memorable villain I was waiting for. His arrival is one of MANY things that make me excited for the next book. I wish I could talk more about this series, but there’s only so much I can write, you know 😅? All in all, this is a gem! I would’ve said that it’s peak, but it’s cold at the top of a mountain 😉. Great work, Salem! P.S: One gripe, though. THE NORMAL MOON SERIES ENDED WAY TOO SOON 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭"

Interesting; Needs Work
"The book has some potential... The main idea behind the book is interesting, but it falls short. While the plot is intriguing it struggles to establish unique characterization, making it difficult to consistently engage with the text. The story is lacking details and I’m missing out on a lot of things. The MC’s are too perfect and that detracts from being able to come to like them. Even if they are magical, they should have limits and struggles... The two MC’s I did meet, have the same tone, so they feel one note. "
