Chapter 1 --The Vanishings Begin

It was a bright morning. I am Sara I am laid-back and a little fat . I read a lot and you can call me a bookworm. One day I'll write books about space aliens and time travel. Sara wrote in her diary. This is the year 2017.

The doorbell rang. It was Dan. "What brings you here you need water why you are sweating. "Sara ,cannot find Kaalu he's been missing for four days , I've looked almost everywhere where's aunty I'll ask her if she saw him ." He looked worried.

In a quiet mountain town of Himachal , something sinister is unfolding.

Stray animals and even pets are vanishing without a clue.

Sara is a witness to this and she tries to voice her fears.

But no one seems to listen except her bestie Dan.

Until one fateful day.

Blood is discovered near an old forgotten well.

Sara and Dan tried to look for kaalu. They enquired about him everywhere at all his favourite spots.

As they were searching for him they noticed a strange thing in the market area of the town they found some posters of other missing pets.

They had never paid attention to this before.

They asked everyone who knew Kalu but no one knew.

With each passing day , their fear was increasing what could have happened." God forbid did he meet with some accident." I said feeling helpless.

Days, weeks and almost a month had passed Kalu was just a memory now.

I cried for so many nights.

But one thing Dan and I knew was that something was wrong. It was not an isolated case. I met officer Gupta he was a friendly person but when we tried to explain our fear he simply brushed it off. " You kids are simply overthinking , there is no conspiracy it is just a coincidence that some pets have gone missing" Go home take rest. Maybe he was right but I had a strong feeling that something was brewing in our town.

The mornings of the hills are breathtakingly beautiful, when the mist envelopes the hills all the pines the peaks seem shrouded, sometimes it feels eerie as if the air is heavy with some negative energies. I looked up on the internet that there were dozens of stories of places haunted by spirits and unknown entities around this place.

There were rumours of seers and monks who had sinister powers.
