Chapter 1
It had been months since she started work here but why did he have to be perfect but yet go against everything she knew. She thought back to the start.
It was Yasmine’s first day and it was not going so well, first, she had left her lunch at home, then she spilled her coffee on her computer and now she can’t find her paper clips,
“Not having a good first day”, a man said as he walked up to her,
“How can you tell”
“I don’t think good first days are possible”
“Yeah”, she said with a sigh, “I am Yasmine.”
“I know, I’m Naro, I’m your supervisor”
Yasmine wanted a hole to crawl in.
Yasmine spent the rest of the day working hard, getting to know the other employees at the office. By the end of the day, Yasmine had made three friends, a pen, a pencil, and Jake. As she was getting ready to go Naro came over to her desk and asked if she wanted to get a drink with him.
“Sure, I’ll just finish up here and I’ll see you there”
Later at the bar down the road
“What do you like to do for fun, Yasmine”
“I love to dance and being outside but my father is strict and I end up sitting inside reading books about being a lawyer and working in an office”
“That does not sound fun at all”
“It isn’t, what about you? What do you do for fun Mr. Naro”
“Firstly it is Naro, no Mister Here, and I ride motorbikes and read books”
“I wish I could ride a motorbike but my dad would get so mad at me, he’s always saying motorbikes are dangerous and a good girl like me should not ever go on or near one”
“I would be happy to give you a ride someday”
“Lunch break Tuesday someday enough”
“OK sure”
