Prologue
"Jack?" Y/n looked at the creature in front of her
Doey looked at the woman in front of him in surprise. It was as if he were seeing a ghost.
Her hair, her eyes, her face, which now seemed to have aged since the last time he saw her. He knew this woman.
"Mom?" she asked as if unsure if she was real or not.
Y/n approached him slowly, understanding the hand he was holding.
"Baby? Is it really you?" He touched her cheek. "I've been looking for you."
Suddenly, Doey pulled away, and his expression changed.
"No! I don't trust you! Kind voices lie! YOU LIE!"
Y/n looked at him. Doey had a threatening stance, ready to attack. Y/n only wondered how much they had suffered for him to say those things.
So she hugged him by the neck.
"I'm so sorry, darling. It was my fault what happened. I'm so sorry."
She knew who Doey was. She knew it wasn't just her son who was there. Three poor children, victims of such a cruel organization.
"Mommy?"
"I'm here, baby. I've come for you," she said, still holding him. "For all of you."
Doey began to tremble, then cry. Slowly, she hugged her.
"Mommy, I don't want to be here anymore."
"I know, baby. I know."
She had finally found him. She had gone through such an ordeal to find her son. And here he was, in front of her.
He didn't look like her son, but she knew it was him. She could recognize her little one anywhere, even in any body.
"Calm down, my love. I'm here now. Mommy will never leave you."
To be continued...
