Echoes in the Night GEA 2026
" I am about halfway through reading this novel. Man, what a ride. Haley and Cassian are experienced operatives with histories that bring a lot of baggage with them. As they scramble to find the rogue working from the inside of the CIA, they find each other and a way to save their souls and give themselves a reason to win their battles no matter the cost. I have promised myself I’ll finish this one, but the read is intense, and the spice along the way is NOT there just for the sake of it. A finely crafted love scene I did not expect in the middle of a chase to save the intelligence world from a web of control no one wants. "
Amazing Book
"The story wastes no time, with the opening scene showing Caleb dying while Haley Morgan, one of the main characters, is holding his hand. It jumps from Caleb's funeral to Haley meeting Cassian, to the two already being hunted, with Cassian, the second main character, getting shot. Despite all the actions, there are still clear signs of romantic feelings stirring between the two. Autuam does not waste time. The author, Autumn, has a very basic but excellent writing style. She doesn't use long paragraphs, only using a few lines to paint a whole scene in your head. She doesn't explain much to the readers except very important details, and whenever she does flashbacks in the book (which is a lot, in almost every chapter), she separates the past from the present with bold letters. Smart thinking. Finally, as far as I can tell, there are almost no grammar or punctuation errors in the story. I found one error, a missing "e" for "we", and that is it."
Review
"The book captivated me right from the beginning. It features dark, gloomy settings that gradually expand as the story progresses. I was stunned to discover it involved a murder... right before Morgan’s eyes! Especially when his voice was fading... I wanted to scream. Morgan’s anger is bound to turn into revenge, I can sense that. What truly moved me was the deep bond between Caleb and Morgan. It was so beautifully described that the thought of one of them not being alive brought tears to my eyes. They were friends for over a decade! Moreover, everyone here is keeping secrets. Your details are spot-on, especially the scene where rain poured down and he didn’t hide his feelings because of it... it was superbly written. Then there’s Haley. Caleb saw her as a younger sister, and their bond was incredibly strong. I love such wholesome moments. I can’t wait to read more! There were no grammatical errors, and your writing is polished. Keep up the excellent work! "
It's a good book. I would recommend it to a few friends that like to read.

"Enjoyed it to the end and can't wait for book 2. Nice read, good mix, action spiced up with an intriguing luv story"
High stakes spy thriller!
"If you enjoyed The Bourne Identity and the Winter Soldier, you'll like this story. The stakes are high and the love story is not a B plot, with high intensity of emotion throughout. If I have one critque, it's that the tone could have varied more, but if you want a thriller with a noir flavor and a lot of brutal twists, this one's for you."
This wouod be a great movie!!
"Great story! Couldn’t out it down. Would love to see the as a movie. Is this a series? Is there a follow up novel?"
Bonding
"The bond of the characters is emotional but it’s so sweet and simple. The book keeps you on edge with all of the things being uncovered yet you are drawn in by the main characters and their connection. "
A heady cocktail of a spy thriller, conspiracy, and romance!
"Echoes in the Night has an excellent hook. The cover can use some tweaking. A CIA analyst and a former crime syndicate heir turned informant make an interesting pair. Both wish to expose the mole/ traitor and shut down a shadow operation that is behind why Caleb died. It maintains a sense of urgency during the action scenes. The emotional scenes are a bit draggy, simply because they tell Cassian and Haley's feelings but do not show their relationship develop. For book one of a trilogy, this is great for fans of Jason Borne with a substantial romantic subplot. "
