Her heart sank into sadness
What's there to live for ?
She turned as tears dropped from her eyes shattering like glass.
Rosella life was shrouded in sorrows, hope ? Felt like a dream.
Betrayed by many as casted out like she was nothing, her mind craved for vengeance. With the sun out a day of lone with the echo of footsteps filling the air.
Her eyes gaze fell upon the scars on her hand. A reminder of the past
'Even death cheated me.'
As her heart returned back to the emptiness of her home, weighed down by grief
'Jealous,' she uttered
When the sun setted down for the moon, Rosella knew not her mind ignorant of her surroundings
Lost in her world of emptiness, her hands managed to reach on for the remote
What's on ?
A moment to give herself a break from her heart, until then sounds Echoed through her ears stumbling footsteps and gunshots.
Her heart took a beat
'What's going on ?" Rosella flustered her mind, struggling to think clearly
Run!!
Screams from afar
She quickened toward her window as she befall upon her eyes a horrific view. People running helter-skelter, blood on the road with cars left abandoned
' Stay away from me !'
Rosella noticed a young girl in panic, as stood right in front of the girl, a man,his face etched in the shadows as he emerged from the darkness, the image vivid as he approached the young girl
"What's happening?" Rosella mind raised in confusion
Her eyes astounded in wide belief of what took to happen next
Ahh!
The young girl screams echoed as the man laid a ferocious attack his teeth sunk into her flesh as the sound of terror was vanquished by the sickening crunches of flesh and bone
"Hey, stop," Rosella tongue slipped in defence. Her mind flustered as she struggled to comprehend the horror that was unfolding before her.
The man's eyes locked onto Rosella, his malignant gaze sending shivers down her spine, his teeth stained with blood of his victim,
With a quickening action, Rosella shotted down her window as she griped on the bed , her body trembling in fear and shock as her mind frozen in disbelief with a moment to calm a bit down and recirculate what was going she reached for her phone are only aim to call for emergency
'What! , no signal' shocked and lost of no next move
"Is this all real?"
A question left for only her to answer. She stood up with a sense of fear consuming her thoughts, Rosella leg moved stiffly as if she was trapped in a nightmare, her gaze fixed onto the window with her mind screaming to turn away but unable to force herself to look away from the terror unfolding outside.
As tho humans acting up as beasts, laying ferocious attacks on the innocents with their voice vanquishing in the terror and screams
'Help!!'
A loud, deafening bang on her door like that of a sledgehammer striking at a wood sent Rosella pulse racing her heart leapt into her throat, threatening to choke her
What to do?
A question left for her to act on as the bang continued
"Is anybody there? Please help!" A sorrowful and pathetic pleading like that of a mournful wail echoed through Rosella door as the woman voice cracked with despair
"Please.. I beg of you , I don't want to die please is anybody there"
Rosella legs frozen as she wrestled with a decision, her thoughts oscillating between the desperate pleas of the woman and the traumatic memory of the young girl left dead.
With a stiffly approach, Rosella made her way towards her doorstep
"Please...' The woman said her words cutted short by a petrifying scream, her last cry for help.
Rosella slowly pressed her ears against the door, whispering
'Hello? Are you still..'
But Rosella words were cut short by a loud deafening bang, followed by the sounds of gnashing teeth, succeeded by a sinister silence.
Rosella's fear compelled her to Scramble backwards, her legs trembling as she struggled to regain her footing
A little moment for her to grieve over the fear, her hands wrapped around her body shivering
"Am sorry," a fading whisper. "It's OK," she continued, trying to comfort herself
A moment to gather back her thoughts together as then her eyes caught her remote, with minutes passing by, she waited her eyes staring at the door as then she slowly switched on the TV, lowering the sound
"Am sure someone must have reported this," Rosella tried to encourage herself
"They would have, right? Rescue should be on there way'
With the TV on displaying the news, Rosella eyes reluctantly stared at the screen
Today, I am bringing sad news !
Rosella ears sharpened, her only hope toward the news caster displaying on the TV
'A virus it is ' a sad, sympathetic look on his face,
"Run, hide do what you must to survive, rescue is on the way," a reassured mind
As then, a short clip appeared on the screen, intervening the news. With Rosella's eyes glued to the TV screen, she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Stood a man in the video his eyes turned a deep red, as his skin was pale and clammy. He was attacking people on the street, tearing flesh from their bodies with his bare hands and teeth.
As then, the video transmission was terminated by the news
"I am sorry for the interruption earlier,"
With the newscaster's voice grave.
"The government has issued a statement confirming the outbreak of a mysterious virus. The infected are extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all costs. A lockdown has been enforced in affected areas, and a team of scientists is working around the clock to find a cure."
The newscaster was saying then, the TV frequency began to falter as then the screen went dark. Eventually, there was no signal at all. She checked on her phone, but there was no signal either. Scared and panicked
The information the newscaster gave was vivid.
She wondered what to do next, she left for the kitchen to check her food supplies, only to realise that she didn't have enough food to last her a week, overwhelmed she sat down bursting into tears 'What's happening '
Cars Horning with clashing sounds echoing in the silent night, followed by nonstop screams
As the world come to an end ?
