Intense and emotional
"I'd start telling I cried so much at the end. This book really left me crying my heart out. A cheff kiss for the author who wrote this story as it is for if it was me I'd chicken out before writting the final chapters. Mara's character is one of strong woman. Even at the face of Tragedy and Trauma she stood strong. The pains she endured are endless. That place really had no mercy to offer her and when ultimately the one she placed her trust in that crucial moment betrays her in the worst possible way,she lost everything in her will to continue. Her mutiliated womb with the baby in it absolutely broke me. I think the moment she felt she lost it,is the moment she realised there is nothing for her. The emperor is too late,when he finally understood what she means to him,there is no she. The devastation,anger,pain,hopelessness,they all felt soo real. I absolutely loved and cried reading this book. Soo good.❤️"

Anger, bewilderment, pain, emptiness, empathy etc I think I felt them all. To think humans are culpable in sending their females there! I wish Juliet and Louise will tell Maras family what happened to her so that they can at least get closure - though not details of the horrors she lives. The death of Makaila and that wicked general wasn’t painful enough for me. Mehn! This is such a strong work It’s not for the weak Will definitely read more of your works"

"Spoiler: Not a story for people looking for the happy ending or rebellion arc like the back page description suggests. There is no romance, it is all just a masterclass in horrible things happening to one person. Needs more trigger warnings. Great plot premise, but absolutely not executed. "
