Chapter 1-10

Chapter 1

It was a beautiful morning with dark skies. There were dark clouds in the sky. It was supposed to be evening, not morning. She wanted to hide somewhere immediately, but she couldn't. Even though she was afraid of the black sky and thunderclouds. Her job was to erase all her fears and go to the event. She took off her black shirt and light blue pants from the cupboard and got ready to go to the event.

The time was almost 11 a.m.

As soon as Mrs D'Souza came to wake her up, she was surprised to see her ready.

“The weather is getting really bad, Rosie. Do you have to go today?” Concerns were evident in her tone.

“Yes, Mom...I have to go ...” Rosie tied her hair in a ponytail and applied light pink lipstick.

“Rosie ... it's a foreign country .... not India ... and you don't even know the roads here ...” She said in an explanatory manner.

Rosie hung her handbag on her shoulder and hugged her mom.

“I will manage as I always do... please Mom, don’t worry... Pray for me Mom ... nothing will happen ...” She kissed her on the cheek.

“If the landlord comes, there is no need to open the door. I will send money to his account.” She picked up the umbrella on the side of the bed and left.

She left, but Mrs D'Souza was in trouble. She knew very well how much Rosie was afraid of the black sky and the thunder of the clouds.

(Time: 11:30 a.m.) (Place: Bus stop)

She had just arrived at the bus stop when the clouds began to thunder. As soon as she got on the bus, she immediately put her hand over her ears and closed her eyes. Her heart was about to come out. At the same time, she felt a hand on her hand. She immediately opened her eyes.

The girl sitting next to her was very beautiful. Seeing her deep blue eyes and cut hair on her forehead, she felt as if a doll was sitting next to her.

“Don't worry dear ... everything is fine ...” She said this in Hindi Accent by looking into her deep brown eyes.

Rosie was shocked to hear the Hindi accent in her mouth. She thought she was a British girl but she was speaking English with a clear Hindi Accent.

“Are you Indian ??” Rosie immediately asked.

She nodded...

“Then ??” Rosie said with questioning eyes.

“Enemy country...” she laughed. “I'm from your enemy country ...”

She blinked.

Rosie incomprehensibly looked at her.

“I am from Pakistan dear ... My name is Arsh ... and you ??” At last, she spoke in a very friendly manner.

At the first meeting, she was talking to her without hesitation.

“And you ??” Arsh asked.

“Rosie...” She said so and then looked out of the bus window at the sky.

“Are you afraid of the thunder of the clouds ??” She laughed at her condition.

In reply, Rosie looked at her in tears.

“I'm extremely sorry ...” Now Arsh became serious.

“No, it’s OK,” Rosie replied with a clear heart.

“Can I ask where you are going?” Arsh asked.

“Harrow, for an event,” Rosie replied.

“Oh! Wow! Which event?”

“Pakistan Independence Day event.” She said in a normal way.

“You are an Indian? Right?” Arsh was surprised.

Rosie nodded with affirmation.

“Then how could you manage this event?”

“It’s my job, Ma'am. So, I have to...” She replied in a severe mood with less smile.

The bus stopped at Harrow station.

“Anyhow. See you there. I have an invitation to that event.” She smiled and went off.

Rosie called Manager Asif Mir to know the exact location of the event.

“Yes Sir! I am there.” She put the phone to her ear.

Place: Lahore Resort Restaurant, UK.

She managed all the events in a good way. It took eight hours to prepare all the items related to the event. She guides her team to use green, white, and Saffron themes for it. Everyone admired her. This brought a smile to her face.

She smiled after ten days. What happened ten days before? She just wanted to forget that night. This is why she wanted to keep herself busy with the colours of the world.

At 11:30 p.m. the richest person in the Muslim Community, “Mr Ahan Yousuf”, visited there. All the audience stands in honour of Mr Ahan Yousuf, who is the son of the richest man, Yousuf Raza. His business was spread all over London. And he used to attend every Pakistani event there.

His personality was attractive, but the pride on his nose was obvious to everyone. This is why everyone used to speak to him with great care.

As soon as he arrived, the media also arrived.

The ceremony hall was beautifully decorated with the help of white, green, and Saffron colours. There was excitement and joy everywhere.

Everyone was talking, holding a glass of Pepsi in their hands.

He took a look over there. And after a deep silence, he questioned. “Who used this colour theme?” He shouted in a low voice.

The manager motioned Rosie to be quiet.

“Yes Sir? Is there anything wrong?” He stepped forward.

“Take a look at this theme. Where do you think this is the theme of Pakistan's independence? Why did you put the piece of the Indian flag in it?

The faces of all the Indians present there became pale. Complete silence was there.

“Sir, there is little time left until midnight. We thought all Indians here should also wish for their Independence Day.” The manager showed a little bit of strategy to cover the matter.

“Whatever! Remove the Saffron colour of the Indian flag in this theme.” He ordered.

“But why? When all Indians are here to celebrate your Independence Day, why not you?” She went ahead and answered with full courage.

The manager, Asif Mir, again signalled her to stay quiet.

“So, what happened to you?” He spoke with a smirk.

Rosie did not answer him.

“Look madam ... you must tame the Indians, but our event should be ours. These two events can never be celebrated together.” Now he said with a sigh of relief.

“Who are you to say this?” She said rudely.

“If we Indians can come to your event then, why can't this event be celebrated together? Would you please answer this? Her question made Mr Ahan unanswerable.

Chapter 2

“Yes! Mr Ahan, she is right. Please don’t get this wrong.” Arsh looks at Rosie and smiles.

In reply, Rosie looked at Arsh with grateful eyes.

“So, are you Indian ??” Ahan smiled brutally.

“Yes! Alhamdulillah...” She said a little proudly.

“Alhamdulillah....” His eyes popped out.

“Yes ...I’m an Indian Muslim...As far as the Saffron colour is concerned - we can't remove this colour for you from here. Whether you stop here or not ... We don't care...” She said a little arrogantly.

“And you know what this colour matters to us, because it shows our strength, courage, and sacrifice.”

The manager's eyes popped out.

“No sir ... she doesn't know you ... so ...” He said nervously.

“Miss Rosie, please stop and do as you are told,” he ordered.

Rosie looked at him with devouring eyes.

“No, I don't need it.” Looking at the clock, Ahan said. It was midnight.

“Happy Independence Day to you, Miss India.” He came near to her and smiled brutally again.

“I hope you will always remember this meeting.”

He came near to her ears and said sarcastically. Everyone was surprised to see his reaction. The media took advantage of that scene. So, they took many photographs of them.

Ahan walked away with glasses in his dark brown eyes but she was still standing there.

She felt as if she had smelled his perfume somewhere before. But where?? She did not understand this.

When she felt the smiling eyes of the crowd around her, she left.

Rosie’s House, Time: 2:00 a.m.

It was too late for her to come home. The company car dropped her off at home. Meanwhile, her mobile phone was also ringing repeatedly, but she was not paying attention. As soon as she reached home, Mrs D'Souza asked her why she was late.

“So late today.” her Mother said anxiously.

“It was a celebration of independence, so it took a long time.” She took off her jacket and put it to the side.

“Is there any problem with my child?”

“No mom.” She was swinging a rocking chair.

“Let me get some food for you.” She started to leave.

“No mom, I am feeling sleepy. Wake me up early in the morning.”

“Did you pay the landlord’s rent?”

“Yes, it was transferred to his account.” She got up from the chair and went to bed.

“OK. Sameer came today. He was asking about you. He told me that he was calling you but you did not pick up the phone.” She told her.

“Oh! I didn’t check my phone. Well. I will see.”

The phone was ringing again. She took out the phone from the bag and started to answer the call.

“Yes, Sameer? I’m very tired today. I will call you by tomorrow morning.

She said tiredly and hung up the phone.

“Mom! Turn off the light.” She covered herself with a blanket and lay down with her eyes closed.

D’Souza got worried about seeing her but she left after turning off the lights.

Rosie’s Room (In Dream)

Half an hour later, her sleep began to be disturbed. She used to go into shock as a result of the incident that happened ten days ago.

She grabbed her head with both hands and started crying.

eyes again. “Leave me. Leave me...” There were tears in her eyes now, but the incident was still new to her as it happened to her today.

“What happened to you, girl? You are behaving like a little girl. Don’t behave like an innocent. Even after getting a hundred-dollar price, are you still insisting? I don't like it at all.” He spoke in the greatest rage.

The sound in the darkness made Rosie lose her mind.

“Leave me. Leave. Leave me...” She was trying to free herself from his grip as in the darkness but she could see nothing.

“Leave. me ... Leave...” She said again. Her locket fell.

She screamed in a loud voice.

She got up immediately. She looked around and immediately turned on the table lamp. Sweat was running down her forehead.

“I wish I hadn't trusted that ignorant man ... I wish ...”

Reluctantly, the scene came before her

********

(Time: 7:30 p.m.)

(In Dress & Beauty Company)

”Hello, my dear. Sarmad Khan is here...” He welcomed her happily.

“Hello. Sir, can I meet your boss?” She spoke without sitting in the chair.

“Oh yes! Sit down. Heads cannot be met at this time. He is busy right now. You will have to wait until late at night.”

“Late Night. But ??”

”Oh yes ... the office car will drop you off. You please sit back and relax.”

Rosie looked around and sat down on the chair and took a good look at the hotel.

“I wish I could get a contract; if I got this opportunity, it would change my life.”

She said in a hopeful tone in her heart.

“All of you will be ready tomorrow. There is an event tomorrow evening by The Dress and Beauty Company.”

She instructed her team on the call, placed the phone in her bag, and placed the bag on the table in front of her.

Meanwhile, Sarmad Khan came in front of her.

“Here’s the advance payment for tomorrow's event. For further details, you may have to visit Room number 106.” He said in a strange tone.

“Why Room? Can I visit his office?” She felt something strange.

“He is just getting tired of his daily routine. This is why”

“But Sir…”

She wanted to speak but he spoke before her question.

“Oh! What happened, Mam? This is not India or Pakistan. Look. You are in the United Kingdom. So you don’t need to be fearful. Everything will be clear my dear.” He laughed and hung his mouth slightly and said responsibly and went off.

(Dress and Beauty Company, Room No.106)

She was terrified when she knocked on room 106. But still, she was confident enough.

The third knock on the door, the door opened easily. She peeked inside but there was no one.

Chapter 3

“How can this door be opened?” She said to herself.

“Come in madam...”

A mysterious voice came to him. She moved inwards.

“I have been sent here by Mr Sarmad Khan. He has given me an advance payment and asked me to discuss the rest of the information with you.”

She wanted to go ahead and see the face of the crossman standing back, but could not see.

With the sound of this man's laughter, the lights in the room turned off.

“What happened to this light all of a sudden?” She panicked and stood up.

“Don't worry - you'll get the rest as soon as it's done.” He was slowly approaching her.

“Sir. I'm waiting for you outside ... you ...” Her very words remained in her mouth.

“Oh, my dear, this is London, darling. The lights here are turned off just to do something hmm...”

He laughed and grabbed her hand.

“Who are you? Leave my hand.” She wanted to free her wrist from his grip but to no avail. He holds her by the neck. In the meantime, her locket fell.

“Hey relax. Baby. I do not believe in coercion. It's better to cooperate with me ... you will have fun and so will I.” He was so close to her that he could hear her breathing.

“Shut up ... just shut up ...” She immediately backed away from him.

“I am not a prostitute.” She hurriedly found her bag on the sofa. She immediately hung her bag on her shoulder and tried to get out of there.

“What happened to you, girl? You are behaving like a little girl. Even after getting a hundred-dollar price, are you still insisting? I don't like it at all.”

He spoke in the greatest rage.

He stood in front of her once again. Her hand was in the grip of his hand. And her body was in his arms.

“Leave me...” She stuck her fingernails on his arm.

“What are you doing?” He cried out in pain.

“Are you mad?” He grabbed her by the hair and shook her.

“I won't leave you...” In the darkness, he could not see her face.

His wrist chain got struck in her bangles when she was starting to free herself.

“Don't come near me...”

Suddenly she remembered a small cutter that was in her bag. She hurriedly took a small cutter out of her bag and struck him.

A fountain of blood gushed from his arm.

“You...Cheap....” He shouted bitterly.

Trembling with fear, she opened the door at lightning speed and went out. There was light everywhere in the corridor. But her eyes were also reluctant to see the light.

She took a quick step and went out by hiding her face with her bag from Sarmad Khan. Her whole body was shaking.

She stopped the taxi in the distance with a hand gesture and sat in it.

“Madam, are you all, right?”

The taxi driver spoke when he saw her condition.

Rosie’s House

(Returning to the scene)

“What if I didn't have that cutter?” She burst into tears.

Ten days had passed since the incident, but her night's sleep was getting worse. Even if she tried to sleep in the dark, she would wake up for fear of the same incident.

She wiped away her tears and got up and performed Wudhu. She offered Tahajjud prayer and started reciting the Holy Quran.

“Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake, and, Our Lord, do not place on us such a burden as You have placed on those before us.”

Surah Al-Baqarah (v-286)

Whenever she got frightened, she used to recite this Ayat.

Morning 10:00 a.m.

“Get up ... it's morning.” D’Souza was removing the window curtains.

The sun's rays were coming in through the window.

“Mom ... Give me water.” She rubbed her eyes and sat up.

“I've been thinking for days ... you're a little upset. Did something happen? Can you share with me?” She gave her a glass of water.

“No mom! There is no such thing.”

“Um. Anyway. Wash your hands and face ... I am going to get breakfast ready ...”

“Ok. I may not be able to come today. The function will last till late at night.”

She got up and went to freshen up.

“Even though we are here. But I can't afford her to be out of the house until late at night.” Something was bothering her inside.

**********

Bus Station

Time: noon.

She had been standing at the bus stop for a long time, but there was no sign of the bus in the distance.

There was a grand party at The Premier Cuisine this evening. It was important to get to The Premier Cuisine early.

“O Allah ... send a bus ... please ...” She was praying in her heart.

Shortly after, a magnificent car pulled up in front of her.

“Madam ... come on ...” The driver lowered the windshield.

“No, Brother. Thanks.” She said very politely.

“Madam ...I don't think you'll find any conveyance here. Let's go.” He said again.

“Look, sir ... whomever you are ... if you don't leave in the next minute, you will be responsible for the consequences ... understand ...” She showed him her deep angry eyes.

The man in the car’s back seat smiled as he shook it. Now he rolled down the car window.

“Look ... Miss India ... I know we are from an enemy country ... but my heart is longing for friendship with you.”

You? She hurried.

”Yes, Mr. Ahan Yusuf.” He introduced him.

“Whatever...” She looked at him angrily and moved on.

”Excuse me ... excuse me ...” He opened the car door and went out.

“Look Mr, I’m not interested in a stranger like you.” She warned him by pointing a finger at him.

”Ahan! You like to mess with strangers but can't talk to them. Amazing...” He took the goggles out of his pocket and put them in his eyes.

“Well, I'm not interested in talking to a girl like you. There was something necessary, that is why I have come here.”

“Listen? Like me? What do you want to say? Like me??” Her mind was stunned.

“How am I? What am I? Will you tell?”

Ahan was silent.

“I don't have time to listen to your nonsense. Come and sit in the car. I need to talk to you ...” He said so and headed for the car.

Chapter 4

“Go to hell.” She muttered in her mouth.

Suddenly, she gestured to the taxi, which was visible from a distance and got into it.

“He thinks I'm scared of him. Bastard...” She was muttering again in her mouth.

“Ma'am ... what happened?” Taxi Driver is trying to be frank.

“Nothing, better to focus on your driving...” She said rudely.

*********

The Premier Cuisine

Time: 1:30 p.m.

The taxi stopped outside. She got out of the taxi, paid fare, and moved into the

“The Premier Cuisine.”

The eyes of the people around were expressing strange meanings.

“Why are they all looking at me like that?”

She said to herself in her heart. Everyone was whispering to each other.

In a short time, Ahan Yousuf entered there with all his splendour. Everyone welcomed him.

“He came here too... oh...” She said furiously.

“Waiting for you there...” Ahan came near to her. He pointed to the table in front of her and sat down on the chair in front of her.

She stepped forward and stood in front of him. She saw a sign of a wound on his hand but she ignored it.

“What is your problem? I have already told you I am not interested in talking to you.”

“Very funny...I am dying for you ...” He smiled sarcastically.

“Sit quietly here ... no need to create a scene.” He threatened her with a little force.

She looked around and sat quietly.

Earlier, she was shocked to see a picture on TV in the hall where she was talking.

Seeing him and her picture together, her eyes widened.

“What is all this?” She could barely breathe.

“Look! No need to worry too much ... All this is a deception of their eyes and that's it.”

“I know ... but who are you? And all this on TV ?? What is this man?? We were just talking, weren't we?” She was going to be very confused.

“This is the result of your discussion. If you had not argued with me, then it would not have happened.”

He gritted his teeth.

“Like I told you to come so close to me??” She said in the same way as he did taunt.

“Well, I can't argue with you anymore.”

He was helpless.

Before she could get up, he spoke immediately.

“You have to apologize to me in front of everyone. You have to tell everyone that you have nothing to do with Ahan Yousuf.”

“And what have I done? Will you please tell?” She asked.

“Arguing with you is useless.” he became helpless.

“Yes! Then why are you arguing?” She started to leave. But later she stopped walking.

She turned her face and spoke.

“And excuse me? And from you ...Should I apologize??” Her whole face was full of anger.

“And anyway, you have the honour of believing in me more than you do?” She smiled and joked.

“No more landing. It's not about the media.” He cleared.

“Good? So, what's up??” She laughed.

“My fiancé. Sophia.”

Rosie stopped laughing.

“Mumm ... so you want me to apologize to you in front of everyone and whatever you are saying ?? right? So that your fiancé will believe in you?”

“In response, he remained silent.”

“Feeling bad for you. Seriously, what type of man are you? Your fiancé has no belief in you. Feeling sorry seriously.”’

She smiled half-heartedly.

In response, he just wanted to slap her but he couldn’t do that.

“Anyhow, if I refuse?”

“How selfish you are...” He was just about to slap her.

“Oh hello Mr. Ahan Yousuf! Better a poor horse than no horse at all.” She said bitterly.

A man standing at a distance was taking pictures of the two for a long time.

They both looked at him as soon as they heard the camera sound. Another photo was taken.

“You fool.”

She immediately leaned towards him. Ahan also rose quickly. But that person ran away.

“Was this notoriety less now ... what is it now?”

She held her head.

“Who are you?” She shouted at him.

“Why is everyone so interested in you?” She came near to him.

Again, a photo has been clicked by someone.

He held her arm and took her to another side where no one was there.

“I’m Ahan Yousuf Mir.”

“Leave my hand ...” She just pulled her hand from his grip.

“Whatever you are. I damn care. But please get me out of it.” She asked.

“It’s very simple. You have to say sorry to me in the press. And...”

“And??” She frowned.

“And you have to admit that you were sent by Zawar Shah so that you can tarnish my reputation.”

She glanced at her eyebrows. “Zawar Shah? Who is he?? And why should I lie?” She lost his mind.

“It's up to you ... if you don't say so, then you know! you are a simple Event Manager here.” He stopped talking.

She frowned and looked at him.

“Simple! You will not be an Event Manager anymore. I mean, you will be out of here. And no one will give you a job here.”

“I will scratch your face. ... How cheap you are.” She was near to slapping him.

“I am in front of you ... you can do whatever you want ... except to deny it. that. Zawar Shah sent you to defame me. You have to say this in front of the press.” He put his face in front of her and spoke.

“Whoever has a name is defamed. But you are the cheapest person that I have ever seen.” She spoke in a wave of limitless anger.

He smiled. “This is your choice, Miss India ... Job or obedience to me. It’s up to you... If you obey me, you will have a job and you will get so much money that you can't even think. But ...”

She slapped his face, cursed him, and left. The sound of slapping was heard by everyone outside. The people outside started smiling.

Some were giggling. As soon as she came out, everyone went to work.

The Premier Cuisine Hotel (2nd Floor)

(Every member was doing their work.)

”Why are you looking at me? Focus on your work.”

She is in a furious mood. When she saw Kiswa looking at her continuously, she asked.

Chapter 5

“Mam! You don’t know who he is?”

“I’m not interested in it...” She is in a very bad mood.

“But Mam, you mustn’t have to slap him. He is a millionaire. He can do anything. So please, better stay away from him.”

“I damn care about him. Whether he is a millionaire or a billionaire. I don’t care. Even then, I didn’t want to see his face. But he came across in front of me.”

“Mam! He and his father are sponsors and investors of three famous industries here. Don't take it for granted.”

Rosie listened to Kiswa in silence.

“Are you scaring me with this dodgy man?”

“No, ma'am not at all. He is not a good person. He just looks good. But actually, he is not. It is better that you are not more confused than that. Apologize to everyone in front of the press and that's it.”

Rosie ignored her advice and went to work, so Kiswa also went to work.

The Premier Cuisine (Party Hall)

(Well-Decorated)

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Everything was going well in the party hall. Everyone was enjoying the soft music. Rosie and her staff looked great in black.

She was wearing a black frock and her curly hair was set forward, so she looked so beautiful. The red lipstick on her lips made her face more attractive.

With the arrival of Ahan Yousuf at the party, the media started gathering around. Everyone was waiting for the same scene as last night.

Rosie looked at him with wide eyes and kept to one side, keeping herself away from the noise.

“My shoe apologizes for that....” She said to herself in her heart.

Khan’s eyes were fixed on Rosie, who had turned her face away from him.

Sofia's eyes were on Ahan. When her attention fell on Ahan Yousuf, she realized whom he was actually looking at.

In one fell swoop, she immediately stepped forward.

Sofia grabbed her arm, straightened her, and slapped her in the face.

“Fucking woman ... You Cheap. Do you think that you will take away my Ahan from me? I will kill you ...” She was gladdened by it.

All the media immediately rushed to the spot. There was a commotion everywhere.

“Audience: Let us tell you that the fiancé of Ahan Yousuf, the son of famous businessman Yousuf Mir, slapped Ahan's girlfriend. You can watch it live. And Mr Ahan Yousuf seems to be failing to address this issue.” A reporter spoke with spice.

Ahan Yousuf pulled the reporter's camera and knocked him to the ground.

Now he stepped forward to Sophia.

“Sofia stopped it ... Leave it ... what are you doing ??” He removed Sofia's arm from Rosie's neck.

Rosie coughed and regained her breath. Her eyes filled with tears.

“How did Ahan? How did? How did she get this courage? By what right did she touch my Ahan? By what right??? I know girls like this very well.”

She kept talking but he didn't pay attention. He immediately leaned towards Rosie.

“Miss! Are you all right???”

He took a glass of water from the waiter and gave it to her.

Rosie smashed the glass down. “What do you all understand? You are all corrupt...Hypocrite...cheap...” Her red eyes were full of tears. She moved forward at lightning speed.

“And You. Miss Sophia! Why do you point fingers at others when you can't handle your fiancé ??”

Sofia was caught by two or three of her friends.

Ahan also moved forward immediately. “You! come with me...”

He grabbed Rosie’s arm and led her out.

“Leave me Leave...” She kept screaming but he took her away without listening to her.

The whole media and the people there have got another story to gossip about.

“He is still saying that it has nothing to do with it ... and look ... how he holds her hand...” Sophia was in tears.

The media people came out immediately. It was dark outside.

Seeing them coming out made Ahan even more confused.

“Leave me... Leave me....” she said again and again.

Ahan pulled her arm. He forced her into the car and sat on the other side.

“Are you crazy?? What were you saying ??” He got furious.

“Where are you taking me ?? Stop the car.” She started beating his hand.

“Keep quiet... Now, if you have the slightest voice, you will be responsible for the consequences.”

“You are a very bad person ... Your fiancé has insulted me by slapping me in front of everyone ... and now you are threatening me?” She cried bitterly.

“Shut up. Just Shut up... When I tried to explain to you, you didn't listen. If you had listened to me, it probably wouldn't have happened. You did what Sophie did.”

She stopped crying. “Oh! Yes, how can I forget this? You will support her. After all. She is your fiancé... you have to be ashamed of whatever she did to me....”

“She is no longer mine...” He said simply.

“What? What did you say ??” She was surprised to hear this.

“This is not your problem,” he said rudely.

“OK! So, what's my problem? Speak up. Why did you bring me here???” She screamed.

“You are here because of your nonsense. What were you saying in front of the media that I am falling in love with you?” He was about to snatch her face but bore his anger as much as he could.

“When did I say that?” She was astonished at his guess.

“That's what you meant, isn't it?”

“Oh God, are you crazy? You came near to me that independence night, not me. So, whose fault is it in all this? And yet I apologize? Why??” She was holding her head and messing with him.

“No need for that anymore,” he said bluntly.

“What? What did you say?? Don't you need it? So why did you bring me here with you? Why??” She felt dizzy.

“This is not your problem. Tell me the address of your house. I will drop you there.” He said in a normal mood.

Chapter 6

“It is not difficult to understand you, it is impossible. Get me off here. I'll take a taxi and leave.” She spoke helplessly.

“I can't leave you alone on this deserted road. So please tell me your address.” Without looking at her face, he spoke.

His manner clearly showed that he was in great pain. Was it sad for Sophia to do that? Or was he sad about a false scandal that broke out in front of the media? She did not understand.

She gave him the address and looked at him silently.

“Will you please stop looking at me?” He chuckled.

“No. Why did I start looking at you?” She turned her attention to the windshield and looked out of the car.

“Aren’t you afraid of me? Anything can happen to you on this dark road. Can’t it be??” He asked while driving the car.

“No. Not at all.” She smiled.

“Even though I am a stranger on this dark road with you, I have no fear that something bad might happen to me. Because I have a lot of confidence in myself. If someone touches me without my permission, I have enough courage to protect myself.”

The scene from ten days ago came to her mind once again. She became silent.

Mr Ahan Yousuf giggled as she blinked her eyes at him.

“So, you think that your permission is necessary? You are very ignorant or you are trying to be.”

There was another laugh from him.

“Although you are a bad person, I don't think you have a bad character.”

Hearing her words, his face turned pale.

Hearing her opinion about himself, he was not able to see her.

Soon he was driving near his house.

“Hope we never meet again.” When she got out of the car, he spoke.

She stopped as she left.

“You are saying I want to meet you,” he said sarcastically.

“Can't you live without arguing? Get out of here quietly ... and don't come in front of me after today.” He was tired of himself.

“OK fine.” She said wearily and left.

She had left but he kept looking at her for a long time. As soon as she was out of sight, he reversed the car.

Something was different from what he was feeling. Today's scene began to swirl in his mind. Sophia's action and Rosie's reaction. His mind was numb.

As soon as she took her first step into the house, she found Sameer there.

“Are you here at this time?” She asked casually and entered the house.

“Why are you not picking up my phone?” He followed her to the lounge.

“I was busy.” She sat on the couch.

“Mom, give me some water.” She spoke tiredly.

“Take it.” Sameer filled a glass of water and placed it in front of her.

She was surprised to see Sameer's strange behaviour. She opened her eyes and looked at D’Souza questioningly.

In response, D'Souza shook her head, saying that she did not know anything.

“Sameer? Are you okay?” She took a sip of water and then spoke to him.

“By burning my blood, now you are asking me whether I am fine?” He laughed bitterly.

“How cruel you are, Rosie Haroon! How cruel you are!”

Now he smiled painfully.

“What happened to you? Why are you behaving like a child?” She came near him and spoke.

“Are you okay? What is the problem?”

“You are my problem... You!! What do you think that I am not worthy of you?” He almost screamed.

D'Souza was also surprised.

“Sameer. What happened, son? Why are you talking like that?”

“So, what should I do, aunty? asked her. What does she think about Ahan Yousuf Mir?” He asked tearfully.

Now she understood what he wanted to say.

“Oh! now I understand. So, you are also convinced, like everyone else, that there is a scene between me and him?” She was laughing.

“No! But I want to hear it from your mouth.”

“Oh, seriously? So, listen... He and I are having a serious relationship. That's it? Now get out of here.” She spoke plainly and asked him to leave.

“No! How can you do this to me?”

“Why can't I? If you don't believe in me, what do you think? I will try to make a person like you believe in me. Never Ever Sameer.”

“So, it means all this is a lie?”

She did not give any answer to this question.

“Mom, give him a cup of tea so his mind may relax.” Now she laughs.

“Because I do not have any time to give you to clear myself. Now it’s up to you whether you believe me or not.” She said with extreme pride.

He became quiet. After a profound silence, he spoke again.

“Your self-confidence brought me closer to you.” Now his anger had cooled to some extent.

“Aunty, please bring biscuits along with tea.”

He sat leaning on the chair. So, she also sat leaning on the chair in front of him.

“Sometimes, Sameer, you get very filmy. Really. “She was laughing.

“Anyway, I was wondering how you and Ahan Yousuf could have a relationship. Where is he and where are you?”

Now, there was seriousness on her smiling face. “What do you mean by that?”

“Don't you see? Where is he and where are you? Where can heaven and earth be together?” He explained.

“Get up from here.” She got up from the chair and with a finger gesture asked him to get up too.

“Mom, there is no need to bring any tea”. She called D'Souza into the kitchen, so she immediately went out.

“Rosie? What happened?” Sameer got up worried.

“Take this ring of yours. Keep it. I don’t need it. She immediately took off the ring and placed it in his palm.”

“Rosie! You are disrespecting me now.”

“Oh. Good. So, what about that insult you did me a little while ago?” She said sarcastically.

“What is disrespectful? Tell me. This is the truth, isn't it? His and yours cannot be far apart,” he affirmed.

Chapter 7

“Yes, it can't be. But you have underestimated me. And what do you think of the person who has come to my house at this hour of the night to doubt me and further insult me? So, will I spend my whole life with him? What did you even think??” Her face was filled with anger.

“You are giving the name of doubt to my care.” He showed great care.

“This is not a caring man? This is insecurity. And that is the reason for not talking to you. The good thing is that you came here today.”

“Sit and talk calmly… What happened?” D’Souza was still in shock. She couldn’t understand the matter.

“Mom! This is what was meant to happen. And you.”

Now she pointed her finger to Sameer.

“Did you get the ring? So, get out of here now.” She said rudely and went to her room.

“Sameer's son. She is in anger. Don't feel bad. I will explain to her.” D'Souza said shyly.

“No! Aunt! The truth is often spoken in anger. I think I should go now.”

He left there by wiping his tears.

*********

“Rosie? Rosie? What did you do? What did he say that you put the ring in his hand?” She came and sat near her.

“We will not talk about this, mom. Just know that I want such a person for me who trusts me from the core of his heart. My life will end with Sameer's insecurity, mom. And I don't want to live a life of crying like Indian women.”

Hearing her words, D'Souza's eyes filled with tears.

“Now please don't start crying. We have come out of that suffocating environment.”

“Yes, dear, we have come. But I still do not forget the days when we were at the mercy of those people in India. Thankfully, we got some part of your father's inheritance and we came here.” She was once again lost in the past.

She was subjected to daily torture by her in-laws. Although she had a marriage of her choice with Haroon, this marriage could not give her peace even for a single day.

She used to hear every day from her in-laws that she is a Christian and lured their son away from home and married him.

Even though Haroon loved her, he used to interfere with his family. After Rosie's birth, her life became more difficult. Haroon was always taunted when his daughter was born.

When Rosie was ten years old, her father died in an accident. And so, due to the inherited money and the help of D'Souza's relatives, she came to the UK.

She did not leave any lack in Rosie's education and training. He also admitted her to a religious seminary according to her religion.

Although living in the UK was not easy, she worked hard day and night, doing double duty to bring her daughter to the point where she was considered one of the best party planners in the UK.

****

Rosie kept talking to D'Souza till late at night. She was lying down after praying in the morning when her mobile phone started ringing again and again.

She was sitting up while sleeping.

“Who can it be at this time? Who can it be this time if there is no event today?”

She hung up the call by pressing the red button on the phone and changed her crotch and slept again.

Only five minutes passed when the phone started ringing again.

She reluctantly answered the phone.

“Yes, who?”

There was no sound from the other side.

“Hello?? Who’s there??” She asked again.

From the other side, he could now hear the distinct sound of someone breathing.

“Look, when you want to talk, call. I am not so free to listen to your useless call in the morning.” She said angrily.

The call started again.

Now she has switched off her mobile phone.

“There is a limit.” She fell asleep with the pillow wrapped in her arms.

********

“Even though I am a stranger on this dark road with you, I have no fear that something bad might happen to me. Because I have a lot of confidence in myself. If someone touches me without my permission, I dare to protect myself.”

At dawn, sleep was in his eyes. But sleep was far from him this morning.

He kept thinking about what she had said until late at night.

These words echoed in his ears for a long time.

“How long does she know about me? “And her opinion about me was really surprising.” He was leaning in the rocking chair.

He was brought out of his train of thought when the phone rang. “Yes. Say”

“Sir! You have spoken for the evening. She will go there.” On the other hand, the employee reported.

“Now there is no need for it. Khan. And yes, don't tell me about all this after today.” His tone was quite stern.

“Sir, I am sorry. I know your mood is bad just because of that incident.”

Khan was talking about ten days back.

He stopped talking when Mr Ahan spoke. “I said no need for anyone. Tell me how much money you want. It will be sent to your account.”

He said that and hung up the phone.

*********

As soon as Yousuf Mir heard the news of his son’s scandal, he was left holding his head in sorrow.

In this way, they would come to know about his many scandals. But this was the only scandal that was adorned in newspapers and news.

The very next morning, he caught a flight and reached the UK from America. As soon as he took his first step into the bungalow, he felt very uncomfortable.

Servants followed him.

“Where is Ahan?” He said a little louder.

“Sir, maybe he is sleeping now. May I call him?” The cook immediately said.

“No. Let it be. I woke him up.” He went up the stairs towards his room.

Chapter 8

The bungalow was beautifully furnished. On one side was the living room; on the other, there was an open lounge and a balcony connected to the lounge.

The entire city could be easily seen from the balcony.

Before he entered his room, he found him leaning on a rocking chair on the balcony.

He immediately looked at the watch on his right wrist. It was nine o'clock in the morning.

“Ahan…Ahan.” He stepped forward and stood in front of him.

Ahan immediately sat up.

“Dad. You… Here...” He was shocked to see him.

“What is all this?? Do you know how much loss we can get from this scandal of yours? Different kinds of news are running on every TV channel. And so, what will I answer to Sofia's father?”

He looked at him with eyes demanding an answer.

“Dad... It is not such a big deal. In tomorrow's press conference, I will make it clear to everyone that I have nothing to do with her. Now please relax.”

He said it as if it was a normal thing.

“And what about Sophia??”Now Mr Yousuf asked repeatedly.

“I have broken up my engagement with her. I have returned all those things that she gave me.”

Mr Yousuf’s mind was spinning after listening to him.

“Are you crazy?? All this seems like child's play to you???”

“No... But I can no longer afford her childish behaviour.”

“What childish are you talking about?”

“Dad. Maybe you don't know that she slapped that girl.”

“So what??” He asked in surprise.

“Dad, it will be normal for you but not for me.”

“OH! So, what the media is spreading is true?” He said spontaneously.

“Think what you want to think,” he said angrily, and walked past him into the room.

“Hold on.”

Hearing his loud voice, he stopped and turned back to see him.

“It will be better for you if you come out of this love.” He looked at his face angrily.

Ahan understood the warning hidden in his eyes. Then he thought it better to get out of his sight instead of arguing with him further.

******

Her temper became high as soon as the goods and the ring sent in the engagement were returned to Sophia Kamal.

“What does this mean to me? I will not leave him.” She gritted her teeth.

“Relax Sophie. Relax.”

Yousuf's uncle called Dad. He will talk to him. Nothing will happen. He will surely come to apologize to you.” Her sister, Sajal explained to her.

“Sajal! My head is exploding with pain. How did he change overnight? Until yesterday, he was ready to take an oath that Sophie Darling.. there is no one in my life except you.” She was panting angrily.

“Sophia. Please. Relax. This is the result of your anger.”

Sajal held her hand and tried to calm her anger.

“What? You? you too?? I wanted to scratch the face of that girl.”

“Look at yourself. If you become so possessive, he will do the same.”

Sajal gave her a glass of water and she relaxed a bit.

********

The sun was shining brightly in the sky. The intensity of the heat started to increase. D’Souza had filled her with cold water in a bottle which she was drinking from time to time. And at the same time, she was looking at the time on her wristwatch.

Today, she had an important meeting with her team as well as a meeting with the wedding planner.

That is why it was necessary to reach her office early.

When she came to the platform, the bus was already gone.

Now, she looked away and saw the taxi. As soon as she saw a taxi, she ran forward to stop it.

There was already someone in the taxi. The taxi was speeding up.

The taxi passed but the accident was avoided by the oncoming vehicle.

The driver immediately applied the brakes.

The person in the car's back seat did not take any time to get out of the car. He immediately came close to Rosie.

“Dear? Are you OK? No injury?” He asked worriedly.

Rosie raised her bowed head and looked at him.

If he was not an elderly person, he would have known about her anger.

“No, uncle. I am fine...” She fell to the ground and picked up her water bottle.

He could see only her eyes from her masked face.

“You are in a hurry. If you don’t mind, please tell me where I dropped you??” He asked pleadingly.

“No. I will go.” She said apologetically.

“Dear. You can trust me. I am your father's age. I'm not young enough to be afraid of me.” When he laughed, she laughed too.

“Not so…There is no such thing.”

“Yes…So that's it. Come on...”

Saying this, he went towards the car, opened the back seat door, and gestured for her to sit inside.

Both were riding in the back seat of the car.

Both of them started talking normally. “I just came from America this morning. Because of my son.”

She smiled after listening to him.

“He has broken the engagement. I have explained it a thousand times, but he can't understand anything of mine.”

They were laughing and telling him.

“Well. You tell me. Are you in a hurry? Where do you have to go?”

“I am a party planner. Here I am an event manager for an Indian organization. I have a meeting with the wedding planner today. That's why I'm in a hurry.”

When her mobile phone rang, she apologized to him and answered the call.

“Yes, I'm just coming shortly...” saying this, she hung up.

When the car stopped in front of The Dress and Beauty Company, Mr Yousuf Mir asked for permission.

“Don't worry daughter. The driver will drop you at your office.”

Saying this, he got out of the car. The colour of her face faded as he smiled. Seeing the board of The Dress and Beauty Company took her breath away.

She just came out of the car quickly.

Even in the intense heat, she was shivering badly. She opened the door on the other side of the car and immediately got out.

”Are you okay???”

Mr Yousuf felt her condition was strange. She did not look at him and left.

“What happened to her?” Yousuf Mir asked.

”I do not know what happened to her suddenly?” the Driver replied.

“Okay. Park the car in the parking lot.”

Yousuf said to the driver and went inside the company himself.

She was walking on the road with fast steps. She could barely hold the water bottle in her hand. Her whole body was shivering badly.

She had just gone a little further when she saw a taxi.

After telling him the address, she boarded the cab and started to calm herself.

“So was this man that night???” She questioned herself.

“No…How could this be a man? No... No…But. Then why is this man going there?? Or does such a thing happen in his hotel?” She was fed up with her questions.

******

As soon as he entered the company, he faced the intense gaze of everyone, which he thought it best to ignore. He entered Alamgir's office.

“What's up with everyone?” He asked as he sat down and Alamgir burst out laughing.

“It is because of your son. Well, when did you come from the USA?”

“I came in the morning.”

“Umm Shall I order tea?” He asked while connecting the call on the intercom.

“Yes. ask for it.” He was quite tired.

“Alamgir. I don't understand anything. He is a strange kind of stupid person. The engagement is also broken by him.”

“Is the engagement broken? But why?” Alamgir asked worriedly.

“He said that he was not expected that act from Sofia.”

“Mr Yousuf Look, I'm getting suspicious of Ahan. You should find out about that girl. I think we should talk to her directly. Maybe she could tell us better about her and Ahsan’s Relationship?”

Hearing his advice, Mr Yousuf's mind was confused.

“I want to get out of this problem as soon as possible. That's it. I cannot bear this media controversy anymore. It may shut down our business soon.”

“Yes, that's right, Yousuf sir. Hold a press conference in the morning. Tell Ahan that in front of everyone, say clearly about the girl that she has been sent by Zawar Shah. That's it.”

Yousuf wasn’t able to understand the mind of Alamgir. He got into conflict.

“Look, Yousuf Sahib. I had advised Ahan before that he should link the girl with Zawar Shah. The matter is over.” Alamgir said as if it was something common.

“Alamgir? Are you okay? Why bring Zawar Shah into this problem now?” Yousuf was now feeling dizzy.

Spot boy had brought tea. He took a cup of tea, took a sip, and calmed himself down.

**********

The matter is clear and straightforward in these two days, Zawar Shah has taken advantage of this whole issue. The media has discussed a trivial matter as if Ahan Yusuf is not a businessman but a politician.

“Doesn't all this seem strange to you? In such a case, if the name of Zawar Shah is taken, then the account will be even. And anyway, this may be a trick of Zawar Shah.”

He said to Yousuf without a preamble.

Yousuf was deep in thought after listening to him.

“Although everything is permissible in business, such an attack on someone's personality. This is not professional behaviour.”

Both continued to argue, but neither of them knew what the outcome of this discussion would be. According to Alamgir, the accusation against Zawar Shah was wrong. To some extent, he was able to convince Yusuf Sir of his proposal, but both of them did not know that both this proposal and their decision were going to be left hanging in the air.

********

After doing so, she reached the office. Even in the meeting, she was barely able to finish her presentation. Everyone was feeling her condition. According to them, this attitude of hers was about Ahan and the controversy but it was not like that. She had passed out once again in the accident that happened to her a few days ago.

As soon as the meeting was dismissed, Kiswa approached her.

“What happened? Are you ok?”

“Yes. I'm fine.” She fixed her mood and spoke to her with a half-smile.

“Are you upset about last night's problem?” She derived it from herself.

“No. Nothing.” She thought it best to ignore it.

Meanwhile, her mobile phone started ringing. The call was again from an unknown number.

“Hello?” She asked casually.

“Miss Rosie Haroon?” The caller asked quizzically.

It was known that he was talking on the mobile phone with a cloth, so his voice could not be recognized.

“Yes.” She said simply.

“I want to talk to you.”

“Yes, what's the matter?” She said controlling his anger.

She was now leaving the office.

“Miss! I need your time.” He said without any reason.

“Are you crazy? Say whatever you want to say now. I have no time for wrong numbers like you.” When she hung up the phone in anger, the face of the person on the other side was sad.

She signalled to the taxi driver and got into the cab.

The phone rang once more. “Oh, my goodness! what is your problem? Are you crazy?”

The taxi driver saw him through the car window.

“Oh, bruh! Drive your taxi.”

She said with extreme anger, so the taxi driver focused on the road ahead.

“And You?? If you call me after this, be ready for consequences.” She said in a bad tone.

“I want to meet you.” On the other hand, Sameer spoke in deep depression.

Listen to his voice, she was surprised. “Why?”

“Please don't refuse. I would be waiting for you at Beach Brent Cross.” He said that and hung up the phone.

Just last night, she had broken her engagement with him. And now to meet him? How could this be? There was a lot of emptiness inside her. She was feeling extremely alone at that time.

Then she thought that there is no harm in meeting Sameer. But she didn't know that meeting Sameer now will keep her away from Sameer forever but will bring another person closer to her in her life.

As soon as Sophia heard from her father that Ahan Yousuf has clearly said that he does not want to have anything to do with Sophia Kamal, she left her bungalow without thinking, took out the car, and arrived at Ahsan’s bungalow.

Sajal and Kamal kept stopping her but her mind was completely out of control.

“Dad. Talk to Yousuf's uncle. What happened? Both will be married within a month. And now this decision of Ahan. There is a limit to everything.” Sajal said to her dad.

“With which right should I justify Sophia's behaviour?”

“Dad! The matter is something else. If it was a matter of a slap, he would not have broken the engagement. However, he slapped Rosie Haroon's face. Of course, this is the pretty reason for breaking the engagement.”

Hearing Sajal's words, Kamal got lost in deep thought.

“What Sophia is saying is all right? He is starting to like this girl? That's what it looks like. And he is making an excuse for Sophia's behavior. Why is he torturing our Sophie when he made another choice in his heart? Dad! You should talk to Yusuf's uncle in detail.”

On Sajal's advice, he started thinking about something.

*******

On the other hand, as soon as she entered his house, she started shouting at him.

“Where are you, Ahan? Get outside. What have you understood me? I am not a choice. You understand.”

Hearing her voice, Ahan quickly left his room.

He was somewhat disturbed by the incident of last night. He stayed at the house for the sake of peace.

But he didn't know that Sophia would come there herself to calm him down.

“Sophia, Are you here??” He said in deep surprise.

“Yes, I’m...” Sophia's voice echoed throughout the whole house.

Her voice was clear to all the employees but they were still busy with their work.

“What do you understand me? What have I done?” She was crying now.

“Oh seriously! you don't know what you have done?” He said sadly.

“I have done what that girl used to do. You understand. You are mine. only mine.” Ahan smiled when he said with great rage.

“You are making this claim even after getting the engagement ring back. How strange is this.”

“You have no mercy for me. Ahan! We are going to marry soon.

“We had a wedding. But now ...everything is over now. And please now get out of here.” He said in a slightly soft tone.

“Are you starting to love her?” He asked in great agony.

.

.

*********

“One is you and your guesses. Wait for tomorrow's press conference. You will get answers to all questions. Now go from here. There is no need to make a scene.” He said apologetically.

“I will never forgive you for breaking my heart.” She looked at him with angry eyes and left.

*******

As soon as she reached Brent Cross Beach, Sameer was already there. Sadness was visible on his face.

Rosie looked at him for a moment and then went on.

“Yes, why have you called me?” She asked bluntly.

“I am sorry. Rosie! I'm sorry.” His eyes filled up.

“Ok! Fine. So, what do you want now?”

He placed the ring in front of her and sat at her feet.

“All this is not possible now.” She said, shaking her head in the negative.

“Why? You don't love me?”

She laughed like a child. “Love?” Whom do you call love?”

“What does it mean?” He confused.

“Is it a difficult question?” She laughed.

“What are you claiming when you don't know what love is? Say?”

“I know you are angry with me. Look! It is my love that I came here to convince you. I have come to agree with you by eliminating my ego. But you are the one who is not leaving your ego.” He was close to crying.

“I have nothing, Sameer. All I have is my ego. I don't want to lose it. Not at all for the person who does not trust me.” He said condescendingly.

“You are very good at sarcasm.” He smiled woundedly. “Do I not have the right to ask you anything?”

She looked at him with pity on his question.

“Sameer! There is a big difference between asking and doubting. And also, in underestimate. Have you forgotten? So let me remind you what you said.”

Before that, her speech would have been completed, he said.

“I know what I said. And I did not underestimate you. I just told the truth.”

“I don't want to argue with you, Sameer. We should end all this now.” She wanted to leave but he stood in front of her.

“No! Why should we finish? So, do you think that you can have an easy relationship with Mr Ahan Yousuf Mir? Yes! tell me?”

“Sameer? Are you talking nonsense?” She immediately moved forward.

Sameer reached forward and held her hand.

“What is useless in it? If you think that I am underestimating you, then simple. He has a meeting tomorrow in the conference hall. Go there and tell him that you can't live without him. Simple!”

“Sameer! Stay within your limits.” She said angrily.

Ocean waves.

“I was trying to explain that our limit cannot touch his limit.” He wanted to say more but Rosie spoke immediately.

“For a moment I was very positive about you. But now. You will know tomorrow whether I can touch his limit or not.” She said this and turned away from there.

Sameer started looking at the ocean waves in a sad mood, which was raging at him for losing love.

*****

She kept thinking about Sameer till late at night. She had accepted his challenge, but there were fears in her heart that something might go wrong.

Her train of thought was interrupted by the ringing of the phone.

The call was made again by the same wrong number. Finally, she put his number on the block list and slept.

The call started coming from another number. She understood that it was the same wrong number.

“What is your problem?” She spoke in a great rage.

Someone on the other side smiled mysteriously.

“What do you think? you will block my number and I will be blocked.” He laughed again.

“If you were in front of me, I would break your teeth.”

He could judge his anger from her voice.

“Relax. I have no intention of bothering you.” He showed frankness.

“So, what are you doing now? When a girl doesn't want to talk and you give her tension, it's called teasing.” She said angrily.

“First, you get angry a lot.” He smiled.

“Why should I talk to you with frankness?” She spoke angrily.

“You talk, that's enough. Be it angry or frank. I Never Mind Madam Rosie Haroon.”

Her breath stopped when she heard her name in his mouth.

“How do you know my name?”

“Don't be so surprised madam. If you talk, you will know.” He laughed.

“Go to hell. I don't want to talk to you. And if you call me now, it won't be good for you.” He ended the call and at the same time switched off the phone hurriedly.
