"This story draws you in right away with its mix of mystery, tension, and emotion. Nicky’s world is painted vividly, and the atmosphere feels both intimate and dangerous. The writing captures her heartbeat and fears beautifully, making it easy to get swept up in her journey. If I had one small critique, it’s that the pacing moves a bit too quickly at times. I would have loved a little more space to linger in Nicky’s thoughts and daily moments before the next wave of tension hit. Even so, it’s a gripping and atmospheric read that leaves you eager for more."
