"As a published crime writer I must say that I read this extract and my mouth dropped. Not only does this extract show an incredible writing skill but it also manages to hook and keep the interest of the reader throughout. With a plot that is unique and intriguing and characters that are relatable and well-written I can safely say that I will be returning to read more as soon as it is available. I did find however that the main 'problem' that the main character is dealing with to be perhaps revealed a little too early. I think that this could be fixed easily with a thread of 'show don't tell' throughout the novel, with the eventual showing towards the end. Overall this is a fantastic start and had me quaking in my boots at the thought of yet more fantastic competition in the crime genre!"
