Running

Grace

“Stop! Why are you running?” The big creature bellowed as he chased me.

“Because you’re chasing me!” I yelled and dashed into the woods, which seemed twice the size of my world—considering that I’m a damn human on this alien planet.

If I hadn’t bought that hideous mirror from that old lady, I wouldn’t be here, followed by a behemoth-like beast with horns. He’s even catching up with me, dammit! Stop chasing me! Could you please leave me alone?

I fell to the ground after colliding with something hard. “Your Highness!” the beast’s master bellowed, his tone virtually saluting the man. The man sighed when the beast didn’t respond. “I’ve got it under control,” he groaned.

That’s when I looked up and saw this delicious, gorgeous beast, dude. I felt like I was drooling over his body, and I wouldn’t mind being beneath him.

“Damn!” I exclaimed quietly. He smirked, implying that he had caught my thought. Then the smirk vanished, leaving behind only coldness. That is not courteous.

“What are you?” he spoke harshly, and his query seemed more like a command than a question. He resembled a soldier rather than a royal.

“Huh?” I didn’t even comprehend his language.

He repeated the query, this time grasping my collar and lifting me off the ground. “What are you?” The man behind him told him something in his language. He nodded and flung me to the ground. Then something happened: both men morphed into more human-like forms.

“Can you understand me now, human?”

“Human?” What exactly did he mean by this?

“You don’t have to be such an asshole, you know.” I scoffed before getting up and dusting off the muck.

“What?” He looked to the side and grimaced. I placed my palm on my chest and said, “My name is Grace, and I am from Earth.” He nodded before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder.

“Hey!” I yelled and struck him. He didn’t seem to feel anything. He ignored me and kept walking until we reached a market, which irritated me even more. He didn’t stop until we got to the palace. I didn’t know what they called it, but it had to be a palace. Walking inside, we were surrounded by people in a vast room.

The room was silent until a man and woman entered; I suppose they were the king and queen. They’d be beautiful to photograph if I had my phone with me. Damn it!

The man flung me to the ground again and approached the woman. He was whispering something in her ear. She smiled and approached me. Oh my God. Were they going to eat me? I began to feel afraid but quickly forced a smile. She patted my head before saying, “Speak.”

“Hello,” my palm sprang to my mouth as I realized I understood their language.

“Are you also human?” she inquired, astonished.

“I thought my mother had stopped looking for you people,” she explained, and I had no idea what she was talking about. She put her hand on my back and directed me to who knows where. I shifted my attention to the large, powerful man, who resembled a younger version of himself.

“I apologize for my son’s disrespectful behavior; my husband, the King, will handle it. So, tell me, why are you here?” She asked a little more forcefully than usual.

“I looked into the mirror I bought a few days earlier. Someone found me and started chasing me. I don’t want any trouble; just let me return home,” I said, doing my best to please her.

“To my knowledge, no one has ever returned to Earth. Melanie, my son’s wife, was the one who attempted but failed. Perhaps she can help,” the queen said before rising. We returned to the vast room.

“Why did you bring that person here? Are you attempting to anger me because I suggested you get married?” the king snapped. Silas remained silent, merely looking at his father. This appeared to upset the monarch even further.

“Silas, can you respond? When will you start acting like aresponsible son? One of your brothers is married and has eight children, with a ninth on the way, and the other is engaged.”

Note: I don’t know a lot of things about writing sex scenes, so please skip over the shamelessness. One more thing: I don’t like writing them. 😉
