The Jungle

We all live in a jungle

A jungle made of stone

Of concrete, bricks and metal sticks

A jungle we call home

Over crowded streets and thoroughfares

This mighty jungle towers

With people rushing everywhere

The loneliness over powers

A jungle filled with laughter

A jungle filled with noise

With many many things to do

With many wondrous toys

We all live in the jungle

A jungle made of bricks

This jungle has no trees

This jungle has no sticks

A jungle full of saddened people

People in a hurry

People who rush and rush around

People full of worry

The people in this jungle

Have forgotten how to give

If only they could learn to smile

Then perhaps they’ll learn to live
