Introduction
Legends—those stories of old that seem to blur with folktales left unseen. What a shame, people come to a crisis and turn to spend their life in search of a forgotten hero or ancient artifact. Alas, they can never seem to find it before their flesh wastes away to the passing of time. I pity them.
It has been said that someone somewhere came across one of these “legendary heroes” not too long ago. Said to have single-handedly taken on a band of fifty trained soldiers. A young man wielding a meteor hammer who’s foot was as swift as the lightning in the skies... I find it humorous that this “sighting” brings people hope, given that he was seen once over a hundred years ago by so-and-so’s grandfather. That seems real promising. No better than the legend from ancient days that spoke of an old man who could move boulders the size of a house by himself—or the man accompanied by a flaming tiger. A joke of a hero if you ask me. Beyond the absurdity, even the alleged attitude of this tiger-man was nothing of a hero. He called himself the “guardian of the realm,” but I feel as though I have heard more “horror” stories of his encounters than epic salvations!
Anyway, as ridiculous as legends of old may be, perhaps my life could become as interesting as that of one of these legends. Accordingly, I find it advantageous to keep a journal of the events that occur from this point forward. It is certainly a long shot... especially considering my track record... but it is at least worth writing a journal in case things get interesting. The remainder of what is written in this book will contain the commentary of my life moving forward.
