Before You Read

This book would not be as amazing and lore heavy as it is today if my friend, Molly Smith, didn’t allow me to rant to her about my ideas for the Astamicia series. Now before we get into the magical world of Goleirious, I have provided a trigger warning list below just in case. This book is about governmental corruption, abuse of power, etc, so if this isn’t your type of book this may not be for you.

Trigger Warnings

Cults

Gore

Mention of physical and emotional abuse

Parental abuse

Abuse

Self harming, angst, depression

Rituals and talk about rituals

Mentions of rape

Teen pregnancy

Before you continue on to the first chapter I would like to provide you, dear readers, with some additional information about the world. I have changed certain things about Hell, Heaven, etc to better fit my book. Satan has a pet named Barbarous (this will be mentioned in the book) and some demons, depending on the sins they committed, can be redeemed.

Just below Heaven there is a middle place where souls pass by on their way to either Heaven or Hell. The souls that occupy this land have not lived as mortals but they are as powerful as Gods (think of them as Greek Gods). You do not meet these Gods directly, not until the second book at least.

Lastly, a type of fusion exists in this world. Demons can attach to human hosts and if their goals align, they can work together. Most of the time this means they cause a lot of chaos but in some circumstances it could be the complete opposite. Most amalgamations give themselves a new identity when in this form because they aren’t just one person anymore as such, until specified otherwise, every fusion’s pronouns are they/them both because they don’t necessarily identify as a specific gender but also because they are two or more people in one body.

Now, dear readers, this is for all of you who wish to lose yourself in a post-apocalyptic world that has magic, demons, fantasy creatures, an entirely new ecosystem, found family, trauma, and a little bit of romance. Enjoy!
