Common Affinities
The most prevalent forms of magic, Common Affinities are often inherited through family lines or awakened through natural alignment with the world’s elemental and mystic forces. Though considered “ordinary,” their mastery can be anything but.
Elemental Affinities—Fire, Water, Earth, and Air
These are the building blocks of creation, the raw elements that shape both land and life. Elemental witches and warlocks draw their strength from the balance of nature itself, bending flame, stone, tide, or wind to their will.
Mystic Affinities—Healing, Divination, Illusion, Necromancy
The Mystic arts dwell in the unseen and the spiritual. Healers mend flesh and ease pain; Seers glimpse the threads of fate through tarot, vision, or prophecy. Illusionists weave glamour and misdirection, while Necromancers commune with spirits and guide the restless dead.
Wild Affinities—Animal Bonding, Plantcraft, Weathercalling
Born of the untamed world, Wild witches and warlocks walk closest to nature. They share empathy and speech with beasts, coax growth from seed and soil, and stir the sky itself to rain or calm. Their magic is primal, unpredictable—and alive.
Rare Affinities
Few are born withRare Affinities. These witches and warlocks touch the deeper forces that underlie existence: life and death, time and fate, blood and shadow, mind and spirit.
Advanced Elementals—Dual Elements (Fire + Earth → Lava, Fire + Air → Lightning)
Masters of multiple elements can merge them into devastating or transcendent forms—magma, stormfire, ice lightning. Such witches and warlocks are living paradoxes, balancing opposing forces within their veins.
Life & Death—Life and Death Magic
Life-bearers wield vitality itself, capable of restoring strength—or, in the rarest cases, resurrecting the fallen. Death-wielders command the end: harvesting life force, commanding corpses, or shepherding souls beyond the veil.
Time & Fate—Time Weaving, Fate-Binding
Time Weavers bend the river of moments—slowing, hastening, or glimpsing what was and what may be. Fate-Binders spin the threads of destiny, crafting oaths and curses that even the gods hesitate to undo.
Blood & Shadow—Blood Magic, Shadowcraft
Blood witches and warlocks trade in life essence— their own or another’s—to shape power and promise. Shadowcasters step between worlds of light and dark, twisting fear, silence, and illusion until reality itself yields.
Mind & Spirit—Dreamwalking, Spiritcalling, Telepathy/Telekinesis
The Mind-bound walk unseen paths. Dreamwalkers slip into the sleeping world, weaving and unraveling dreams. Spiritcallers summon or bind entities beyond mortal sight, while those of pure mental strength can move matter or thought alike with a whisper of intent.
