Her duty, Her Heart (Manon Bannerman)

Nova Brown never thought she would land a job like this in her 24 years of life. She is just fresh out of training, and expected to guard CEO's or people who are hiding from people who wanted to hurt them. But no, it wasn't that. She is supposed to help guard Katseye one of the most rising global girl group in the industry.

Nova has listened to their music before, I mean of course she has, they were pretty much everywhere, billboards, award shows, even at the gym she would train at would be playing their songs or if she went to a café or restaurant Katseyes songs would be playing.

Nova then finally pulled up to Geffen records where she was meeting her supervisor Mark and also meeting the Katseye members who were most likely practicing for their comeback. Once she parked she got out and locked her car and made her way inside the building. When she walked in she saw a man in his late 30s to early 40s standing off to the side which she assumed was Mark.

Mark looked up when he heard the door close. "Your Nova Brown right?"

Nova nodded her head sticking her hands in her pocket. "Yea, that's me"

Mark nodded and walked over to the desk and walked behind it and grabbed an ear piece and badge and anything else a bodyguard would need. He then walked over to Nova and handed to her. "This is everything you will need. The girls are just finishing up if you want to go meet them, I'll take you to the room they are in"

Nova nods her head. "Okay, I would like that"

Mark then takes a glance at her, as he walked to the studio B where the Katseye members were. "The members are young they are between 23 and 17. They are famous and the world doesn't always love what they can't have, so keep them safe no matter what you have to do" He then points to the room, that the members were in. "This is where they are. I'll leave you here I have some work I need to get done"

Nova watches him leave and then let's out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "I can do this" she then wiped the balm of her hands on her pants since they were sweating a little and thought it would be embarrassing if they were sweating when she went to shake their hands.

Nova then walked into the room, the members were scattered around the room just sipping on their water or scrolling on their phones. They would also casually laugh at whatever was on their phones. Nova swept her eyes around at each one of the members, as her swept back to one of them their eyes met, and they stood up, and walked closer to Nova.

"Are you our new bodyguard?"

Nova nods her head. "Yea, I'm Nova Brown"

Manon smiles and sticks her hand out. "Well, Nova I'm Manon"

Nova looked at the girl and then her hand before placing her own hand in Manon's. She couldn't help but feel how warm and soft they were. "Nice to meet you Manon"

Manon nods and removes her hand. "Like wise"

Nova then looked behind Manon at the other 5 members who were now looking at the two.

Manon noticed she was looking behind and turned her head to look at them. "Don't just stand there come introduce yourself, cause I'm not doing it for you"

"Fine, fine" Megan said grinning a little and crossed her arms over her chest. "But only because I want to see if our new bodyguard can actually smile" she joked, walking over.

The other four then made their way over, and stood beside Manon, and each introduced themselves.

Nova gave each a small nod and shook each of their hands. "It's nice to meet you all"

"Nice to meet you too Nova" Yoonchae said, with a smile.

Nova noticed her accent a little. "Your not American are you?"

Yoonchae shakes her head. "No, I'm from Korea"

Nova had just gotten home from meeting the members, today really wasn't her first official day, she was just meeting them and getting to know them a little. But if she was being honest she couldn't help but feel drawn to Manon, and she couldn't explain why she felt that sudden drawn, cause she didn’t feel for the other 5 so why does she feel it for Manon.

Nova sighed and settled onto the couch and turned the tv on to see what was playing and if anything interesting was on. She couldn't watch too much cause she needed to get to sleep cause she has to be up early for her official first day as their bodyguard.

Manon had just sat down on the couch in the Katseye dorm, she had just got done taking a shower and was now chilling awhile the members were taking showers or just chilling in their rooms.

"So, how do you like Nova?" Megan asked coming to sit down beside the girl.

Manon looked over at Megan and shrugged her shoulders. "I mean I like her, I think she is a great fit"

Megan nods her head. "Yea, I like her too. And she is also really hot"

"Megan! Don't talk about our bodyguard like that" Sophia scolded and threw a pillow at the back of her head.

"Hey! I was just voicing probably what most of us thought" Megan whined a little rubbing where the pillow hit her.

"You will live" Sophia said and walked into the kitchen. "Anyone hungry?"

"Always am" Megan said getting up from the couch.

Manon also got up and followed Megan. "Yea I could eat" she said and then looked at Megan. "And I'm pretty sure most of us weren't thinking Nova was hot"

Megan shrugs taking a sip of her drink. "Either way I said what I said and I meant it" she said and looked at Manon and nudged her with her elbow. "And plus I know you think so from the way you were looking at her"

Sophia turned from the stove to look at Megan and pointed her finger at her. "Not another word"

Megan chuckled and held her hands up. "Okay, I'm done for now" she said making the other two groan.

But Manon couldn't help but agree with Megan, but she wasn't gonna say it out loud of course.
