Summary

En el planeta Arkanis un examen para entrar a un escuela militar del Gran Imperio termina en una guerra que decidirá el destino del universo. Traiciones, portales estelares y una cacería mortal: Ian nunca pensó que sobrevivir sería solo el comienzo. Ian y sus hermanos solo querían aprobar el examen que les abriría las puertas a la academia militar del Imperio. Pero lo que empezó como una simple prueba en el planeta Amazonia terminó convertido en una guerra real: traiciones, soldados rebeldes y un golpe de Estado que amenaza con destruir todo lo que conocen.

Prólogo

En el vasto océano del universo existen los puntos de salto, portales colosales capaces de enlazar mundos distantes. Estos fenómenos naturales funcionan como puentes en el vacío, uniendo planetas separados por sistemas y galaxias enteras.

No aparecen en cualquier lugar: solo algunos planetas poseen un punto de salto, y aquellos que lo tienen forman parte de una red cerrada. Cada red está compuesta por un número limitado de planetas conectados entre sí, y ninguna se une con otra. Así, cada red es independiente, un mapa propio en la inmensidad del cosmos.

El funcionamiento de los puntos de salto es impredecible. Pueden abrirse en cualquier momento y permanecer activos durante un tiempo desconocido: a veces un solo día, a veces ciclos completos. Del mismo modo, pueden cerrarse de forma repentina y quedar inactivos durante largos periodos. Nadie puede determinar su duración ni su ritmo; son la respiración del universo, ajena a toda voluntad.

En una de estas redes se encuentra un planeta descomunal: Arkanis. Gigante de océanos interminables y cordilleras colosales, es solo uno más dentro de su red de puntos de salto, pero en su vastedad guarda escenarios donde el destino de muchos será escrito.

Es en este mundo, bajo sus cielos inmensos y sus tierras sin fin, donde comienza la historia que está a punto de ser contada.
