Chapter 1: Through the Mirror
Detective Arjuna Varma's name was whispered in every police station across the city. Sharp, confident and impossibly composed, he had solved the toughest of crimes always leaving a headlines and applause. But behind that perfect smile hid something darker - obsession with admiration and a hunger for validation that never slept.
On the evening rainy night Arjuna was called to a crime scene in the old industrial district. A young woman was found dead. Her body arranged neatly on a chair and a mirror placed before her face. On the wall, written in red paint, were the words:
“Do you see yourself now?”
The scene was disturbingly familiar. The precision, the angle, the layout - all reflected Arjuna’s own signature method of staging crime scenes for forensic clarity. But he hadn’t handled this case yet. It looked like someone else was imitating him.
Arjuna stared at the mirror, a chill crawling up his spine. Someone knew me… too well.
Every detail of the crime scene screamed his name - yet he hadn't touched a finger of it. Someone was inside his mind, and the game had only just begun.
