Summary

He was the king of the school. She was the girl he never saw. When their senior cruise ship sinks, Alice, the quiet "Art Freak," and Leo, the popular quarterback, are the only two left alive. Stranded on a deserted island, they are haunted by the ghosts of the friends who died to save them and the bitter history that divides them. To survive the elements, they must learn to trust each other. But to survive their past, they'll have to overcome the hatred and guilt that threatens to destroy them. As days turn into years, their desperate truce, forged in fire and grief, becomes something new—a home, a partnership, and a family. But just as they find their new life in the wreckage, they face the ultimate question: After building a paradise of their own, what happens when the old world comes back for you?

Author's Note

Hello everyone!

Thanks for clicking on my title! I am so happy you are here.

Before you dive in, I am pretty open about my stories and the tools I use to make them. This story was helped with the aid of AI, but it is used as a tool rather than being the author. The plot, characters, setting, and writing style are all done on my own. Every one of my stories goes through a creative process and goes through multiple drafts before it reaches the final product. It starts as a summary that is used as an outline that I followed as it becomes the full text version. AI is used to analyze literary techniques and an editor to have the stories be the best they can be. It also helps me keep on track with the flow of the story, making sure that the key elements are working with the story, and it makes sense to the reader.

I am aware and understand the valid concerns that come with using AI and respect any reader who refuses to read a story that uses AI. I like to be clear with my readers what I use and leave it up to them if they want to continue or not. I still want to thank you for stopping by.

With that out of the way, let's begin. Happy reading!
