"So far, the story has me hooked. The story is a sad one. A girl waiting to be rescued from an orphanage and be part of a family. Wanting to belong. This, the writer does well. I get the Dickens feel in this story ( the Victorian time when orphans were made to feel miserable, and unwanted). I can see Sera, wanting to be picked and be part of a happy family. Her world and her burning eyes. Sera wants to impress but the fire ruins it all. And there is the welcomed twist to the whole story. This is a good start to a story that can turn out to be great. It all depends on the writer's skill to keep the reader curious. I shall do an overall review of the book later."
