Chapter 1:*“The Mischief of Liora”*

Liora adjusted her backpack, squinting at the crumbling archway hidden beneath jungle vines. The air smelled of damp earth and something… otherworldly. Her fingers traced the carved symbols on the altar. A sudden hum vibrated through the temple floor. Before she could react, a brilliant light enveloped her.

When her vision cleared, she stood on a **floating island above the clouds**, with golden towers twisting impossibly skyward. A silver-haired young man lounging on a pedestal gave her a mischievous grin.

“Welcome,” he said, wings folded neatly behind him. “I’m Kael. And you, mortal, are in way over your head.”

Liora blinked. “Mortal? Way over my—what is this place?!”

Kael chuckled. “You’ve entered the realm of gods. Consider this your… trial by chaos.”

Before Liora could protest, a fiery creature zipped past her, giggling. “How is this real?” she whispered.

“Reality is flexible here. Tasks are tricky, challenges absurd, and if you survive… congratulations. You might even leave in one piece,” Kael replied.

“And if I fail?” she asked.

Kael leaned close, voice teasing. “Then the clouds have a taste for mortals who ask too many questions.”

A horn sounded across the sky, echoing laughter. Liora groaned. “Absolutely insane.”

Kael grinned. “Insanity is part of the fun. Now, come on. Your first challenge awaits, and yes… I’ll make sure you don’t embarrass yourself too badly.”

Stepping forward, Liora realized: **she had no idea how to survive in a world run by mischievous gods—and somehow, she was already in trouble.**
