I CHOOSE YOU

I never imagined love would find me in a place I never even wanted to go.

To think I cried my eyes out when I got posted to Abuja the federal capital of NIGERIA, a city so far from everything I called home. Lagos was my comfort zone; noisy, chaotic, full of opportunity, drama, and endless hustle. It was the heartbeat of my life.

Throughout university, I dated, went on a few awkward blind dates, even had those situationships that started with "we'll see where this goes" and ended with "it's not you, it's me." But deep down, I knew something was missing.

I've always been an introvert , the type who'd rather stay indoors, binge Netflix, or plan her next big idea in silence. Even though I lived off-campus, I was perfectly fine living in my little bubble while the world outside rushed by.

Then came final year project stress, endless FYB events, and the pressure to "enjoy life before graduation." I wasn't interested. Parties drained me. Crowds overwhelmed me. Yet somehow, life kept pulling me into the spotlight.

I won a national beauty pageant.

I worked as a PR girl.

I hosted events with people I barely liked , and I did it effortlessly.

So yes, it's confusing , an introvert who thrives in the entertainment world. A social butterfly in public, but a quiet dreamer in private.

But life has a funny way of testing the walls we build around our hearts.

And in the city I swore I'd never love, I met the one person who would change everything.

I didn't know it then...

But Abuja was about to rewrite my story
