Chapter 1: Poor Receptionist

"You see... In this world, it's to kill to be killed. It's called the code. We don't want that to ever happen again; we want happiness and wealth for all. There are two species. Humans, the ones who stopped following the code. Then there are monsters, the ones who want everything and everyone dead except themselves. It is sickening. That's why I fight them. Nalie. Nalie Molotov is my name. It was 2 years since Ezekiel's death, apparently from a shotgun bullet directly to the head. Even though the Doctors have been temporarily stopped, their creations still linger. After 5 months of being jobless, I finally got one, that being an enforcer in a supernatural detective agency called Nocturne & Co. A bit of a mischievous company, owned by the one and only, Bill Dickinson, based in New York, USA. Anyways, back to me, of course, I'm the a enforcer in this company, basically enforcing each policy and attack on whatever creature they sent me to. And Micah? He's just comic relief at this point, not taking much seriously, and I can't just stand him basically any longer. Few men in this organization take their job actually seriously, excluding the CEO. So, please, make the boys take their job seriously for once. Best regards,

Nalie Molotov."

Nalie tore the page and got dressed into her fancy suit. She went to complaints section and slides the paper into the mailbox. She leans onto the office wall, igniting a cigarette and smoking its, she blows some gray smoke into the air. But her smoking break took a stop when she heard a voice,

"Hey there." The receptionist said, she coughed as she inhaled the smoke. She continued, "Could you please stop smoking?" She asked politely.

"How about you take my complaints and read them? Then I'll decide if I stop." She retaliated aggressively. The receptionist sighs, and grabs her paper and starts reading. Her eyes dart over the words, and then she stretched her hair. Her mouth slightly open, and her eyebrows furrowed.

"Believe me if I'm wrong, but, I can't read none of your handwriting. Also, in the sentence, 'I’m the a enforcer in this company' you misspelled 'an'."

Nalie slams her palm onto the table, whispering to her, while spitting venom. "First of all, grammar is overrated. Second of all, I won't believe you. Third of all, take my complaints seriously, or I'll put my revolver in your mouth and blow your brains out. Wanna find out? Let's take this outside then."

The receptionist eyes widened, and she trembles. "Okay." She whispered, as she slowly walks out with the piece of paper in her hand, taking every second a light step out, while keeping her disgusting red eyes onto Nalie. Then after she turns a corner, she runs off while bursting her eyes off.

"Pathetic, honestly." She keeps smoking her cigarette.

2 hours later...

Nalie enters the CEO's office, holding the same piece of paper, there were visible blood stains on the paper. "So, my holy CEO, listen to my complaint." She forcefully throws the paper onto the desk, the mugs and pens trembling. The CEO grabs it and starts reading.

"You misspelled 'an'." said Bill. But then he looks at the blood stains, "Why the hell is covered in blood?" Nalie responds shortly after, "I had to beat up that weird receptionist of ours, just had to teach that little ex-prostitute a lesson."

Bill coughs out, "I mean, giving your psychological disabilities, you give me some sort of... artistic vibe."

Nalie scoffs, "Oh, is that what they call it now?"

Bill just nods. "Anyways, your complaint is useless. Also, we discovered a new creature on the horizon of New York. Apparently came from the German City of Krazenburg like two years ago. It shoots out these tendrils with red venom that slowly kills it's victims, at least, that's what our scientists have said. I want you, Micah, and Hady to attack and neutralize the monster. Can you do that for me?"
