King Of Her Chaos

Summary

She didn’t fall apart. She was taken apart — piece by piece, memory by memory, until she couldn’t tell where the bruises ended and the numbness began. The world called her dramatic. Weak. Too emotional. They never saw the nights she held herself together with shaking hands and silence. Then he appeared — the kind of man darkness bowed to. Cold-eyed. Controlled. Dangerous in the way quiet storms are dangerous: they don’t warn before they destroy. He saw her fractures instantly, not with pity, but with recognition. He had broken once too — but he had stayed broken long enough to make peace with the ruin. He didn’t touch her wounds with softness. Softness was for people who hadn’t bled. He pressed where it hurt, forced her to feel what she had buried, dragged her out of the grave she had learned to sleep in. She should have feared him. Instead, she found herself breathing again. They weren’t love. They were obsession sharpened into something unholy. A girl who trusted too easily and a man who trusted nothing — bound by the kind of darkness that doesn’t fade, only shifts. With him, she wasn’t fragile. She was fire finally given oxygen. He didn’t claim her heart. He claimed her ruin — crowned himself the only one allowed to walk through it. He didn’t save her. He didn’t fix her. He became the King of Her Chaos — the monster she chose, and the darkness that chose her back.

bushbaby: I love the slightly different spin on the were-world and I love love love reading Jaspers story splashed in-between. I honestly did not love Dev, he had no character growth and no arc I just didnt like who he is as a person and that made it hard to keep going about half way through. Without Jaspers ...

NN: It got me from chapter 1. I’m sad it ended, but I loved the whole story. It was very emotional to read parts of it, and the dynamics, characters, and plot twists were amazing. I’d like to have an epilogue... 10years from now. What happened to Dewey? Even Jordan hahahaha

PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
