Prologue
Night isn’t peaceful here. It’s a warning.
When the sun sinks, creatures born from human fear crawl out of the dark. These demons are fast, merciless, and hungry for anyone unlucky enough to cross their path. No city, village, or traveler is ever truly safe once the shadows stretch long.
Most people don’t even know what hunts them. They just pray to survive until dawn.
DEMONS
Creatures born from a mix of human tragedy and a curse spread by the Demon King. They look like humans, but trust me, that’s where the similarities end. They possess:
Superhuman strength and speed
Regeneration fast enough to stitch bodies back together in seconds
Hunger for human flesh (yeah… they’re not cuddly)
Their lives revolve around eating stronger and stronger humans, climbing an invisible food chain.
THE DEMON KING – MUZAN KIBUTSUJI
The first demon in history. The original problem. The reason everyone else is a problem.
He created all other demons either by putting his blood in them or force. even one drop is a lot, excessive blood will overwhelm a human body to its ultimate death. No one knows how old he is anymore — he’s been alive long enough to forget what decade he started being miserable in.
He hides among humans under disguises, running the demon hierarchy from the shadows like a paranoid CEO with trust issues.
DEMON HISTORY
Demons didn’t “evolve.”They didn’t show up randomly.They were made.
Centuries ago, Muzan Kibutsuji became the first demon after failed medical treatment triggered a transformation inside him. From there, he began experimenting on humans, turning them one by one.
Over time:
Demons spread across the country
Villages vanished overnight
An organization formed to stop them
The Hashira/Pillars rose as extraordinary fighters
And an endless war began between night and the people who refuse to die quietly
Demons do not age. Do not fall ill. Do not die naturally.Cutting off their limbs does nothing. Burning them does nothing.
Only three weaknesses work.
WEAKNESS 1: SUNLIGHT
Their ultimate undoing.Light doesn’t just burn them — it destroys them entirely.
A single ray is enough to turn even powerful demons into dust. This is why demons only roam at night and why the sunrise is the Corps’ best friend.
WEAKNESS 2: NICHIRIN BLADES
Swords forged from special minerals that:
Absorb sunlight
Hold that sunlight permanently
Become demon-killing weapons if wielded by someone trained enough not to chop their own leg off
Every Demon Slayer gets one. Only these blades can cut off a demon’s head in a way that kills them for good. You must decapitate a demon with this blade to kill it.
WEAKNESS 3: WISTERIA FLOWERS
Demons HATE these.
Wisteria:
Poisons them
Weakens their abilities
Can even paralyze them if prepared right
Is woven into barriers and traps by the Corps
It’s the only thing humans can grow that makes demons turn the other direction real fast.
THE TWELVE KIZUKI
The “elite demons” picked by Muzan. They’re split into:
Upper Ranks (the monsters who ruin everyone’s month) They have kanji’s branded in both of their eyes. Closest to Muzan
Lower Ranks (still terrifying but easier to cry about later) Kanji’s only in one eye.
Each has a number branded into their eye. The higher the rank, the more impossible they are to kill.
THE DEMON SLAYER CORPS
A secret military force that has existed for hundreds of years.
The government doesn’t fund it.Most civilians don’t know it exists. They don’t get medals, or recognition. (yes they do get salaries)
But they do have one job:
Let humans sleep peacefully without ever knowing what stalks the dark.
The Corps operates entirely in the shadows. They:
Train hidden recruits
Patrol the country
Respond to demon attacks
And sacrifice themselves so that the world believes “night is safe”
Their base, training grounds, and operations all exist outside official records.
Being a Demon Slayer is basically being part of the world’s most secret, most self-destructive night shift.
THE UBÛYASHIKI FAMILY
The Ubûyashikis are the quiet heartbeat of the Demon Slayer Corps. They don’t fight with swords. They fight with knowledge, strategy, and a ridiculous amount of emotional intelligence.
For generations, their family has carried a curse linked to Muzan Kibutsuji — the first demon — and because of that, they’ve devoted their entire bloodline to destroying him. Every descendant inherits:
Fragile health
A shortened lifespan
And the burden of leading the Corps
Despite this, they’re respected almost like royalty within the organization.
Kagaya Ubûyashiki, the current leader, is known for:
His calm, otherworldly presence
His wisdom
His ability to inspire absolute loyalty in even the strongest Hashira
And the eerie, gentle way he seems to “know” everything without needing to see it
Their estate is hidden. Their influence is hidden. Most of the world doesn’t even know the family exists. And that’s exactly how they want it.
WHY THE CORPS IS SECRET
Simple:If the wider public knew demons existed, panic would swallow the country.
To prevent chaos:
The government pretends demons don’t exist
The Corps handles the mess quietly
Demon incidents are covered up as accidents, animal attacks, or disappearances
So while officials look the other way, the Corps becomes the invisible shield that keeps humanity intact.
HOW THEY OPERATE
They work at night — when demons are active.Patrol routes cover forests, mountains, villages, and roadways.A typical night might involve:
Fighting through remote terrain
Hunting down demon sightings
Protecting families who have no idea danger was ever near
Slayers return before sunrise, often bloodied, exhausted, or carrying the wounded.
Then the villagers wake up, stretch, greet the morning sun…completely unaware of the battle that happened ten meters from their home.
That’s the point.
The Corps exists so people can live normal lives without fear.
BREATHING STYLES
Combat arts that use controlled breathing to:
Boost physical strength
Heighten reflexes
Mimic natural elements
Channel power into techniques
Fire, Water, Mist, Stone, Wind, Insect, Love, Flame, and more…Each style reflects its user.
Some styles get so powerful that the user awakens a Demon Slayer Mark, boosting them beyond human limits.
THE HASHIRA
The Ten strongest demon slayers alive. They’re the pillars that hold the Corps together — warriors so skilled they can destroy high-rank demons alone.
Each represents a Breathing Style, like:
Water Hashira — Giyu Tomioka
Flame Hashira — Kyojuro Rengoku
Wind Hashira — Sanemi Shinazugawa
Love Hashira — Mitsuri Kanroji
Stone Hashira — Gyomei Himejima
Insect Hashira — Shinobu Kocho
Sound Hashira — Tengen Uzui
Mist Hashira — Muichiro Tokito
Serpent Hashira — Iguro Obanai
Ice Hashira — Kaira Kanakawa
They are the final defense between humanity and nightfall.

Kaira Kanakawa
Affiliation: Demon Slayer Corps
Age: 20
Birthday: June 5th
Height: 165 cm (5′5")
Weight: 55 kg (121 lbs)
Hair: Off-black, illusioned short-her long hair is tied back with a ribbon to mimic a short bob. Curtain bangs are tipped snow white.
Eyes: Piercing icy blue
Breathing Style: Ice Breathing (氷の呼吸, Kōri no Kokyū)
Weapon: Glacial-blue Nichirin Katana
Personality
Kaira Kanakawa is the quiet embodiment of adaptability—an element that neither shatters nor burns, but reshapes itself to endure. She reflects those around her not out of imitation, but empathy: her temperament shifts like melting ice, softening just enough to meet another without losing her own edge.
Flexible Temperament: Kaira has an instinct for matching energy—her calm adjusts to others’ storms. She understands that warmth and cold can coexist, and that both are necessary to keep balance.
Empathic Intuition: She doesn’t read people through words but through silences, posture, tone. She feels moods like temperature—subtle changes most overlook.
Protective Nature: Beneath her restraint lies a fierce loyalty. Once she calls someone hers, she protects them like family, no matter the risk.
Emotional Restraint: Her control isn’t detachment—it’s discipline. She feels deeply but chooses when and how to express it. She believes that emotion should guide strength, not cloud it.
Adaptive Bonds:
• With Sanemi, she’s blunt and grounding, giving as good as she gets—his chaos meets her calm like two siblings who argue because they can.
• With Mitsuri, she lets her walls melt, laughing easily, letting herself be seen without fear.
• With Giyu, she finds silence that feels like peace, not distance—a wordless companionship.
• With Rengoku, she matches fire with conviction, his passion feeding her quiet resolve; together they embody two kinds of courage.
• With Uzui, she finds rhythm—his flamboyance meets her subtle grace, a mutual respect of skill.
• With Shinobu, she sharpens her intellect, trading precision for insight; their bond is built on understanding rather than softness.
• With Muichiro, she becomes the gentle constant, guiding him with sisterly patience—his youth reminds her what it means to be protected.
• With Gyomei, she listens, anchoring herself in his faith; his wisdom steadies her.
• With Obanai, she acts with quiet fondness, teasingly tolerant of his stoicism for Mitsuri’s sake—a silent acknowledgment of shared devotion.
Resilient Compassion: Her kindness is not naive—it’s carved by survival. She knows pain intimately and still chooses to heal rather than harden.
Despite her composure, Kaira’s sense of humor never freezes.
Sarcasm is her second language — quiet, quick, and often disarming. When words fail, she uses wit to bridge the gap between her and others, teasing lightly to ease grief or tension. Her remarks are dry but never cruel; she roasts out of affection, not pride. Those who know her well understand that her teasing means she’s comfortable enough to let her guard down.
While she isn’t naturally nurturing, she tries — awkwardly, earnestly, and often with humor as a shield. Her comfort rarely comes in soft words; it comes in her presence, her calm, her small half-smile when someone breaks. Beneath her sarcasm lies a simple truth: she stays, even when she doesn’t know what to say.
That constancy — quiet humor in the face of pain — is her way of surviving without turning to stone.
MBTI: INTP
Likes:
Peaceful Landscapes: Waterfalls at dusk, rain-dark meadows, misted forests, the hush before a storm. She feels most alive where silence hums rather than shouts. Grey skies soothe her; sunlight feels too exposing.
Music Without Words: She plays the flute when no one listens and hums the same melodies when she’s alone. Lyrics feel like confessions—too revealing—so she prefers sound that says nothing yet means everything.
Stargazing: The only light she never hides from. She claims the stars are the only witnesses that don’t ask her to explain herself.
Handmade Things: Stitching torn haori, mending charms, or carving small keepsakes. Creation gives her control over something that doesn’t hurt back. She often repairs others’ uniforms without being asked.
Science & Remedies: Her curiosity draws her to Shinobu’s work. She studies poisons, medicines, and the chemistry of healing—proof that even pain can be studied, named, and made useful.
Poetry: She collects verses that ache softly—poems that turn grief into rhythm. She keeps old letters, rereading them in quiet moments: her father’s notes, Kanae’s handwriting, Kagaya’s gentle counsel.
Ordinary Beauty: She finds grace in things others overlook—fallen leaves, chipped porcelain, broken mirrors, tree roots breaking through stone, crows perched in the rain. To her, even scars are stories that refused to fade.
Warmth: The one thing she craves and fears in equal measure. She avoids it, yet the moment someone offers genuine warmth, she unravels. When Mitsuri clasps her freezing hands without hesitation, Kaira freezes not from cold—but from disbelief.
Later, when Giyu’s hand finds hers, she can’t bring herself to look at him. Her gaze stays fixed on their joined hands, as if eye contact might break the spell and make him disappear.
People Who Understand Silence: She values those who can read between her pauses, who understand what she means when she says nothing at all. Words exhaust her; understanding restores her.
Dislikes: Heat, manipulation, being cornered, traditions that strip autonomy. Personally rejects the idea of marriage-feels it symbolizes confinement and control. She won’t judge others for it, but chooses freedom for herself.
Though outwardly composed, Kaira’s emotions run deep. She values autonomy above all and loathes being caged-physically or emotionally. Her trust is hard-earned, but once given, it is unwavering.
