Author’s POV
Y/N was quietly arranging her things, making sure everything was ready. Tomorrow was her very first day at university. Books stacked. Bag packed. Outfit chosen. Yet her heart refused to stay calm.
Y/N’s POV
“Ugh… why am I so nervous?”
She let out a frustrated sigh, pacing around her room.
“Calm down, Y/N… just calm down. It’s going to be a great day.”
She paused.
“But… what if it’s not?”
A thousand thoughts rushed through her mind — new faces, new place, new beginnings.
“I think I should sleep… I’ll see tomorrow.”
With that, she slipped under her blanket, staring at the ceiling for a few quiet moments before exhaustion slowly pulled her into sleep.
NEXT MORNING
Soft sunlight slips through the curtains. The house feels warm and peaceful… but someone is running late.
Y/N’s Mom (from downstairs): Y/N! Hurry up, sweetheart! Come eat your breakfast or you’ll be late for your first day!
Y/N (upstairs, nervous): I’m coming, Mom! Just a minute!
Y/N’s Dad (chuckling softly): Relax. looks at his wife Our daughter is very punctual. She won’t be late.
Footsteps echo on the stairs.
After a few minutes…
Y/N walks down, slightly breathless but glowing with nervous excitement.
Y/N: Good morning, Mom… Good morning, Dad.
Y/N’s Parents (smiling warmly): Good morning, our precious girl.
Y/N’s Mom: Sit down and eat first. I made your favorite.
Y/N glances at the clock, then back at her mom. A small conflicted smile appears.
Y/N: I’m really sorry, Mom… It’s my first day. I don’t want to make a bad impression.
Y/N’s Mom (worried): But you’ll feel hungry later…
Y/N’s Dad: At least take a bite.
Y/N walks closer and hugs her mom softly.
Y/N: Don’t worry. I’ll eat something at college, I promise.
She grabs her bag
Y/N: Wish me luck?
Y/N’s Parents (together): Always. Make us proud.
Y/N smiles brightly, hiding her nervousness.
Y/N: Bye, Mom. Bye, Dad. Love you!
The door closes gently. Her parents exchange a soft, emotional look.
Y/N’s Mom (whispers): She’s growing up so fast…
Y/N’s Dad (smiles softly): She’ll shine wherever she goes.
