Tari. The one name that Charles hates. They are waiting to go into practice 1 for the Monaco Grand Prix, Charles' hometown. He must win this. His girlfriend, who was a brat and spoiled, and that alone is an understatement. Currently, Tari is in his driver's room, sitting on the couch and opening and closing a locket that has a photo of his father inside it. Tari had a traumatic past, to say the least. Anyway, Tari was too busy to notice his enemy, and unfortunately, his teammate, Charles Leclerc, came inside Tari's driver's room. He noticed Tari opening and closing the locket absentmindedly. Charles frowned at the sight. He looked at Tari, only seeing the black silky locks of his hair. Charles sighed.

"Tari." He said firmly, his French accent mixing with his English words. Tari's ice blue eyes looked at Charles, his body taut like a bowstring about to snap. "What is it, Charles?" He said with a thick Russian accent that's laced with stress and annoyance, but not at Charles directly. Leo, Charles' blonde mini dachschund ran inside Tari's driver's room excitedly. Leo jumped onto Tari's lap, barking happily. Tari smiled softly at the pup's excitement, Leo rolled over onto his back, demanding belly rubs. Charles smiled softly at the sight of Tari rubbing Leo's belly. Leo's eyes closed, he was inheaven, his mind was already made up. Tari gave the best belly rubs. Tari chuckled at the sight of Leo's cute little blissed-out face. Charles felt a soft flutter in his stomach when he heard Tari's chuckle, but pushed it back quickly.

The moment was ruined by Charles's annoying girlfriend barging into the driver's room, looking suspicious and falsely sweet. She brightened at the sight of Charles and Tari, Charles' girlfriend, Gigi, was 'secretly' in love with Tari, not exactly secretly. Gigi was obvious about her crush on Tari, clinging to him or always complimenting him, even when he was uncomfortable or busy with someone else. Fans hate her, mechanics hate her, engineers hate her, the whole team hates her, and all the other drivers hate her. Everyone hates Gigi. Including Leo, who is currently barking at Gigi in annoyance, growling and on edge from her presence. Tari gently held Leo back, scratching behind his ear, which made Leo forget about Gigi momentarily. Charles internally groaned at the thought of Gigi here, and everything was just ruined because of her. Gigi gasped as she saw the handsome Russian driver. "Tari! I've been looking for you everywhere." She exclaimed in that sickeningly high-pitched voice. Tari winced at the loud, scraping sound of her voice. Charles rolled his eyes at his toxic girlfriend, that's when Gigi noticed Charles' existence. "Oh, hey, babe." She said in a cold, annoyed tone, not interested in Charles at all. Charles wasn't hurt, he was used to this treatment, but Tari was obviously annoyed at Gigi's rude treatment towards the Monégasque driver. "Don't talk to him like that, and get out, only drivers are allowed in here." Tari's voice was laced with a cold, detached tone that made Gigi falter. She huffed in frustration and glared at Charles before storming out.

Charles gaze softened when he looked at Tari, and he sighed quietly. "I'm sorry about her, she's a bitch." He said in an apologetic tone, giving Tari a guilty look. Tari smiled softly at Charles, shaking his head. "It's alright, Charles, you don't have to apologise for her shitty attitude." He said softly as he rubbed Leo's temple, the fluffy dachshund falling asleep under Tari's gentle massage. Charles chuckled as he saw the pup falling asleep under Tari's gentle ministrations. Leo whined softly in his sleep, subconsciously enjoying Tari's touch. Charles broke the comfortable silence between him and Tari. "It seems Leo has a new favourite person besides me." He said teasingly, his French accent light and it had a charming effect on his English words. A smirk pulled at the corner of Tari's lips, as he looked into Charles' emerald green eyes. Charles' heart betrayed him, racing faster than an actual Formula 1 car, but he easily masked it with a cheeky smirk of his own. "Is that so? I never noticed." Tari remarked sarcastically, causing a small chuckle to leave Charles' lips, his Adam's apple bobbing in his throat as he swallowed. Tari couldn't help but notice the movement, his ice blue eyes drifting down his throat, watching it move in the column of his throat. Tari's eyes quickly flicked back up to the green eyes that belonged to his teammate, Charles.

Now, it is time for Practice 1, the engineers and mechanics running around and working on the two Ferrari drivers' cars, making sure everything is perfect. Strategists were quickly explaining their strategy in as simple a way as possible. Tari came out of his driver's room, wearing his race suit that hugged his body perfectly, the red colour of his race suit clashing against his tan skin. Charles saw him, his jaw dropping open slightly at the sight of his teammate in the normally boring suit that had sponsors everywhere on it. Tari ran a hand through his black silky locks, messing them up. It was clear he was stressed, his broad, well-defined shoulders tense, which made Charles want to help him relax. Leo barked happily, running over to Tari with childish excitement. Leo jumped at Tari, gently pawing at his leg, barking. Tari chuckled as Leo gently clawed at his leg come back!" Charles yelled, running to catch up with the small, overly excited dachshund. Charles finally caught up to him, panting. He looked at who made Leo run towards them, and he saw his unfairly attractive teammate, Tari. Charles chuckled as he saw Leo pawing at Tari. He smiled at Tari. "Sorry about him, he's just excited to see you." Charles apologised, which caused Tari to chuckle, finding it amusing that his teammate was apologising for his dog's excited behaviour, scratching behind the puppy's ear, Leo's tail wagging furiously. "It's alright, I'm happy to see Leo, too." Charles chuckled in amusement, watching the scene in front of him fondly.

Charles was in the lead, Tari following closely behind in P2. Charles could hear his girlfriend, Gigi, cheering loudly for Tari. He wasn't angry at Tari, but rather at Gigi. Charles had so desperately wanted to break up with Gigi, but didn't know how to. She was manipulative, always knowing how to make Charles look like the villain instead of her. The anger and adrenaline pumping through his veins made him push the car faster, navigating through the Monaco tracks with speed and anger. Tari followed closely behind. He could feel something was bothering Charles, and he had a good idea of who was on his mind right now. Leo was in the garage, sleeping in Tari's driver's room. Tari raced through the track, his car weaving through the sectors gracefully. Charles saw Tari in his mirror, he was mesmerised by Tari's driving, momentarily distracting him from his anger at Gigi. Charles eyes went back onto the track, but his thoughts were on Tari, his hunter-shaped eyes, his silky, fluffy black hair, his smile, his body, all he could think about was Tari. Charles brushed it off as a passing thought; he had a girlfriend, for fuck's sakes! So did Tari, he had a girlfriend as well... The thought made Charles' blood boil with jealousy. Charles was jealous of Tari's girlfriend, Madeline, who was watching in the garage. Meanwhile, Tari was losing interest in Madeline, she was kind, yes, but he had recently found out she had cheated on him with his bodyguard. Tari refused to be near Madeline, not even glancing at her or talking to her. Madeline obviously noticed this change in Tari's behaviour and decided to talk to him about it after practice. Tari saw Madeline in the garage and made a mental note to avoid her at all costs.

Leo woke up and saw Madeline, Tari's girlfriend in the garage. Leo barked, seemingly sensing that Madeline had cheated on Tari, and wanted her out of the garage. He barked even louder when Madeline ignored him, finally, Madeline looked at Leo, annoyed. "God, whose annoying dog is this?" She said in a bitchy tone, and Leo seemed to understand it. Practice ended, and Madeline saw the two attractive Ferrari drivers. Madeline saw Charles, and immediately wanted him, having an interest in Tari's teammate, Charles. Gigi saw Tari and thought that she wanted- no. Needed. Tari and the two girls saw each other and immediately knew what they were both thinking. Gigi clung to Tari's arm and Madeline clung to Charles' arm, both of the girls nuzzling them. Tari didn't take Gigi's bullshit for long, though. "Get off me," Tari growled out coldly to Gigi. Charles looked at Madeline with a confused yet annoyed gaze. "What the fuck are you doing?" He snapped at her with an annoyed tone, his French accent thick. Leo came over, pawing at Gigi's leg. Gigi looked down, picked up Leo, and started clawing angrily at her face. She yelped and quickly put Leo down, he bit her leg. Gigi let go of Tari's arm quickly, stepping back from Leo. Leo ran over to Madeline and bit her calf, which caused Madeline to yelp out in pain, letting go of Charles and quickly backing away. This caused Charles to smile, happy that his dachshund saved him and Tari. Leo barked happily, running up to Tari, pawing at his leg gently. Gigi and Madeline hoped that Leo would attack Tari. Tari picked the mini dachschund up, Leo's tail wagging energetically, his head nuzzling Tari's chest.

The girls watched in shock, seeing the feisty dog that attacked them be so affectionate with Tari. Madeline huffed in annoyance, speaking in a bitchy tone. "Why does that fucking mutt love you more than us?" Charles rolled his eyes, annoyed that Tari's girlfriend called his dog a 'mutt'. Tari glared at her. "He's not a 'mutt' and he loves me more because I'm not a bitchy blonde who lies about almost everything." He retorted sarcastically, which made Madeline gasp in shock. "How dare you!" She screeched. "I do not lie about everything, you motherfucking bitch. I hope you crash." Madeline's words made Charles angry at her. How could she say that to him? "What the fuck is your problem, you cheating ass gold digger?!" He snapped at her. Madeline faltered under the heat of Charles' gaze, clearly thinking that Charles would take her side. "I just-" Madeline tried to make up and excuse, but Charles wasn't having it. "You what?! You thought I would choose you over Tari? In your fucking dreams. Go to hell." Charles yelled, clearly fed up with both the girls. Leo jumped down, whining, nuzzling his dad, Charles' leg, as if to say, "Calm down, Dad." Charles sighed, feeling Leo nudge his leg lovingly. Charles picked up his puppy son. "Let's go, Leo, they're not worth it." Charles looked at Tari. "Want to come with us to the coffee shop?" He asked softly, smiling at his attractive Ferrari teammate who smiled back. "Yeah, let's go," Tari replied and started walking with Charles and Leo to the nearby coffee shop, leaving Madeline and Gigi to feel angry and let them bitch about what happened. Tari and Charles were slowly falling for each other, and didn't know it.
