Intro
As it is written in the ancient books, time flows. It waits for no one, and it reveals all.
And indeed, time revealed all when the heavenly war of the gods thundered through the realm of Thornata and sent the Titan King plummeting from the skies.
The presence of this mighty king and his people easily crumbled the peace of the five kingdoms: humans, werewolves, vampires, fae, and the elusive dragons.
And mercilessly, he reigned over them.
Whenever he ordered it, blood stained the lands, and no creature dared defy his unimaginable requests to satiate his tyrannic pleasures.
A thousand years later, the Titan sent a chilling decree to every kingdom.
That, every ten years, he would demand a tribute bride from the kingdom of his choice.
Nobody had the guts to disobey.
With that decree, his non-ending reign became deadlier and suffocating, especially when rumours flew about that the Titan devoured his brides on their wedding night.
Now, the demand for another bride has fallen upon the Bloodthorn Kingdom of the werewolves.
And there’s only one person they could possibly cast into the den of this monstrous god.
She is the one they’ve longed to get rid of.

YEAR 4055, two thousand years after the heavenly war
22nd Oktabar (October).
SEREN THORNVILLE
Seren had just murdered her father.
It was no lie that she began hating him even before she could speak, but making him suffer was more her goal.
But there she was, stained by the warmth of his blood, her hands shivering at the sight of her father’s soulless eyes, questioning what she had just done.
“Fire,” a thick voice called and she jolted.
With shaky exhales, she faced the man.
“He…” Words felt heavy; she had to take a deep breath to push them out. “H-He… I ki… I killed him.”
Unmoved by the gory scene, he stepped closer, simply hugged her to his chest, and turned her away from the body.
Then, as howls and chants from the distant party filled the air, he answered, “This is his fate.”
“I killed him,” she repeated, her bloodied hands clenched tightly because that statement choked her.
“We are all doomed to die.” His words were dry, but his voice seemed a little excited. “A little bloodshed on a day like this is not out of place.”
Sharply, Seren lifted her head.
The glint in his eyes turned her guilt into rage, and she spat, “What in the gods’ name are you saying? He is my… How could I… How could I murder my own father?”
“Haven’t you been wishing him death since your mind could fathom his wickedness?” he quietly breathed.
And her eyes widened with the fear that he would use this murder against her.
But before she could say anything, he slowly wrapped his fingers around her neck.
“Let the dead worry about the dead, Fire.” Sharply, he tilted her head upwards. “And we…” His lips leaned towards hers.
“...will concern ourselves with more important things.”
And he captured her plump lips with a kiss that shot shivers into every part of her.
