"OHHH this book 😭❤️ I went in thinking I’d read “just one chapter.” Seventy-six chapters later, here I am, emotionally compromised and not ready to let these people go. A Wife, Unlearned did not just break my heart... it politely rearranged it. I laughed. I cried. I stared at the ceiling questioning my life choices. Rita and Dean feel so real I’m half-convinced they’re out there somewhere still arguing softly in beautifully written sentences. This isn’t messy drama for the sake of drama. It’s the quiet, devastating kind—the kind that sneaks up on you and suddenly you’re crying over a paragraph about absence and unspoken love. How dare you make midlife marriage this poetic??? Also, can we talk about the emotional DAMAGE??? But like... in the best way possible. Every chapter felt intentional. Every line felt heavy in that soft, aching way. I am not okay. I am healed. I am destroyed. I am grateful. Thank you for this beautiful, tender, painfully human story🙏❤️"
