PART 1: PROLOGUE - BEFORE IT ALL
Beneath twin suns, Caeloryx burned with a light only the most powerful were meant to see. Its skies were inherited. The Vaelcarins fell from the stars. Some born to rule, some to rebel, some to serve, some to fight, some to watch in silence.
Blood spilled to name kings and martyrs. But one rose above the rest.
Thorn'Seraxis claimed dominance with a hand that knew no equal. Order was carved from chaos, and still, some refused to bend.
Every Vaelcarin was born marked by power. It shaped them, it separated them, and five Houses rose from that division.
Seraxis, the regal, carried the sky. Talrynn, the seers, saw what others refused to see. Thryssan, the guardians of nature and craft, persuaded the elements. Norzath, the soldiers, conjured weapons from nothing. Kravikx, the aggressors, carried chaos behind their eyes.
Each House served their purpose. None were equal. Generations passed, and the memory of rebellion lingered like smoke.
Kal'Seraxis, heir to the Seraxis line, forged a truce with the Kravikx. Land was given and territories were expanded to minimize the wars. The Houses stood balanced for a moment, though balance is not peace. The Kravikx never forgot their fury.
And yet the prophecy waited.
It came to Vaelen'Seraxis through the Talrynn. The words whispered across the stars. The prophecy promised balance. It promised salvation.
The Talrynn linked the words and saw the ties between Earth and Caeloryx. They did not wait for the savior. They forged the name first."The light at the end of dark," they called it in the ancient tongue, Vael'Tyr. They named the prophesied dawnbringer... Saeravyn.
