Chapter 1: The Job Fair Beckons

The Job Fair Beckons

Erised woke up with excitement bubbling inside her. Today was the day she had been eagerly waiting for—the local Job Fair. Her mother, Melissa, had told her all about it and how it was a chance for her to explore different careers. As they made their way to the fair, Erised skipped along, her mind buzzing with possibilities.

When they arrived, Erised’s eyes widened at the sight before her. Stalls and booths were scattered across the fairgrounds, each representing a different profession. There were doctors, teachers, chefs, engineers, and so many more.

Erised dragged Melissa from one stall to another, asking countless questions and soaking up all the information she could. Her imagination danced as she imagined herself in each career, wondering what it would be like to walk in the shoes of all these professionals.

The air was filled with the hustle and bustle of people, the sound of chatter and laughter merging into a delightful symphony. Erised couldn’t help but feel energized by the vibrant atmosphere and the passionate discussions she overheard.

As they wandered further into the fair, Erised’s eyes were drawn to a colorful booth that sparkled in the sunlight. The sign read ‘Career Carousel - Explore your Wildest Dreams.’ Intrigued, Erised tugged at Melissa’s sleeve, urging her to join in.

‘Come on, Mom! Let’s see what they have,’ Erised pleaded with excitement in her voice. Melissa smiled and agreed, her own curiosity piqued.
