Part 1/4
Thanks to my dear friend who made my OC come to life; she produced the perfect image of Siri

“Where should we go for lunch, Jungkook-ah?”
“Hmm, looks like there’s a burger place not far from here?”
Jungkook and Jimin are currently in Switzerland, filming for ‘Are you sure?’ season two. The two have finished their activity of riding kick-bikes and are back in town looking for somewhere to eat.
They stand near the edge of the street, shoulder to shoulder with their phones glowing between them as they scroll through restaurant options. Their staff linger a few steps away to give them space and are recording them for their show.
That’s when Siri spots them.
She freezes in her steps, her hand clutching the strap of her bag a little tighter while her blue eyes go wide with awe. Her heart hammers against her chest so hard as there was no mistaking them. Even dressed casually, even hunched slightly over their phones like normal people, she recognised them instantly.
Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook.
Up close. So. Freaking. Close!!!
Siri is not from Switzerland. She’s here on a working holiday visa, telling herself that this year is about living freely how she wants. After getting out of a serious five year controlling relationship, she felt she deserved some freedom—far, far away from her ex-fiancé.
But she never expected something like this to ever happen. Never in a million years did she imagine seeing members of her favourite boy band on a random street in Switzerland, of all places.
Siri became a BTS fan during their Boy with Luv (feat. Halsey) era. Their music became her comfort, part of her daily routine on her way to and from work, and it was something that made her hard days just a little easier. For years, their music, their RunBTS shows, and their Weverse lives kept her going and enthusiastic about life.
Even while the members were in the military, Siri kept listening to their songs (and she even read some fanfiction)—especially Jungkook’s. He was her favourite member and she couldn’t stop playing some of his songs on repeat.
And now, here they stand, right there.
Siri’s eyes start stinging, and she tries to blink away the water in her eyes. She was just so overwhelmed by the reality of this. What are the chances? Seriously? In Switzerland? Of all places? Of all days??
She bites her bottom lip, swallowing the urge to cry happy tears. God, I really wanna talk to them!
But she knows the rules. She knows there’s a line she shouldn’t cross. The right thing to do is to leave them alone; to let them exist without interruption and to admire them quietly from afar like a good fan. The last thing she ever wants is to make them uncomfortable, or worse, come across as a sasaeng.
That thought makes her feel gross.
She takes a step back, telling herself to walk away. She can keep this moment of seeing them in person to herself. She can remember this forever.
But her heart sinks immediately because when will something like this ever happen again?
Her mind goes back and forth, her brain battling her heart. Don’t do it. Just leave them alone. They have staff around them with cameras so they’re obviously filming for something.
But I might regret it if I don’t do anything…
Maybe I can just say something?… Just some words of appreciation and then be on my way?...
Siri’s fingers tighten around her bag strap as she glances at the guys again. She watches Jungkook laugh at something on Jimin’s screen, and she sees Jimin’s eyes crinkle as he nudges Jungkook’s shoulder.
Oh my god, he really does have an adorable bunny smile! she thinks of Jungkook.
Fuck, her chest aches so badly. Ahhh! What do I do?! Do I say something or not??
Before she could talk herself out of it more, Siri exhales and follows her gut (and her heart).
She approaches Jimin and Jungkook slowly, stopping at a respectful distance so they don’t feel cornered. Her heart pounds so loudly and her stomach twists with nervousness, she feels like she might vomit, but she pushes through.
“E-Excuse me?” she says softly with a shaky voice.
Jimin and Jungkook both look up, and their eyes widen the slightest. They take her in quickly; her bright blue eyes, a nervous smile, and cheeks that were already flushed pink. Both register the same thought at once, Wow, this girl is pretty!
Obviously neither of them say anything, though. Instead, they exchange an awkward glance with each other, wondering what this pretty woman wanted. They were thinking it could be the most obvious thing… That she was a fan and she wanted an autograph or a photo with them—in which case, they’d have to politely decline and tell her the usual excuse they learnt from their Hobi-hyung; that they’re on ‘important businessu’ and couldn’t take any photos.
Jungkook just blinks with his big doe eyes, while Jimin offers a polite smile, “Yes?” he asks.
Siri’s voice shakes with nothing but nervousness. “Um… Are you two Jimin and Jungkook from BTS?” While she knows it’s them, she wanted to be one-hundred percent certain because there’s nothing worse than mistaking people for someone they’re not.
But there it is. The question Jungkook and Jimin expected. They looked at each other again, then their eyes flicked toward the nearest staff member to make sure it was okay and that they were safe.
“Yes,” Jimin answered cautiously, his polite smile turning a little tight.
However, Siri’s eyes lighten up instantly. “Ah! Yay! Oh my gosh! I-I’m a BTS ARMY, and I just wanted to say I love your music. You guys are my favourite band.”
“Ahh,” Jimin laughs softly, his cautiousness dying down a little. “Thank you, thank you.”
“Yeah, thank you,” Jungkook adds with a smile, bowing his head slightly.
Siri gathers her courage again and continues to say more, “Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us ARMYs. I look forward to your music next year, but please take care of yourselves. Don’t overwork, okay?”
Well that definitely made Jungkook and Jimin’s hearts melt.
While they may not understand English very well, what the woman said could be easily understood that it makes Jimin’s smile turn tender, and Jungkook’s chest flutters in a way he doesn’t expect, especially when the woman’s pretty blue eyes land on him and lingers. He could literally see sparkles in her eyes, and the way she looked at him was like he was her hero.
“Thank you,” Jimin repeats, sincerely. “You are… very kind.”
“Yes, thank you,” Jungkook says with a wider smile, feeling his cheeks get warmer from her gaze.
Siri feels tears spill over despite trying to keep them in. She pats her wet cheeks with the back of her hand and laughs, feeling totally embarrassed but she’s too happy to care; she actually got to speak to members of BTS!
What she didn’t know was that her happy tears and that little laugh made Jungkook’s heart skip a beat. Damn, she’s so cute, he thinks.
“Aww! Don’t cry, don’t cry!” Jimin slightly chuckles with surprise while shaking his hands.
While they have plenty of fans who cry for them, it still surprises the members when it happens at all as it shows them how much their fans love them.
“Sorry,” Siri giggles, wiping away more tears of joy. “I’m just very happy to meet you.”
The sight of her really warmed the guy’s hearts.
“I have to go,” Siri says next before she does a sniffle. “But thank you so much for letting me talk to you. I love you guys!”
She bows to them, making both of them stiffen in surprise before bowing back in appreciation.
When Siri straightens up, her eyes meet Jungkook’s and linger for longer than necessary again. In that split second, there’s a little moment between them. Something that made them blush a little deeper and smile a little more.
Then, Siri waves them goodbye as she walks away, her heart feeling so full and warm as she turns around so the guys are behind her now. She refuses to look back in case she breaks down completely or runs back to them for a hug, but god, she’s never been so happy!
Jungkook watches her go, and Jimin notices how those doe eyes don’t even blink. They’re super focused on that girl. And then he sees that slightly lop-sided smile Jungkook does.
Aww, how cute. Jungkookie likes her.
Later that night…
Jungkook and Jimin follow their staff down some narrow steps, curiosity written all over their faces as to where they would be eating for dinner.
It feels intimate down here in the wine cellar, tucked away from the rest of the restaurant in what looked like a secret space meant for VIPs—which they guessed they were.
An older gentleman shows Jungkook and Jimin to their seats, and as soon as Jimin sits, his eyes widen.
His gaze goes toward the far side of the cellar where he sees a familiar feminine figure dressed in a typical restaurant black outfit with her hair tied back neatly, moving between shelves as she works diligently.
His face lights up instantly. “Jungkook-ah,” Jimin whispers urgently, gripping his brother’s sleeve. “The ARMY fan from earlier. She’s here.”
Jungkook perks up like a meerkat, straightening up so fast he nearly knocks his chair back. His eyes scan the room until they land on her.
There the brunette is, standing near a rack of bottles, reaching for a white wine while completely unaware she is being stared at. Jungkook’s mouth falls open slightly as he thinks, Wow… Of all places… She’s here…
He slowly sits down, too busy watching her with fascination while his heart pounds hard. He didn’t care that she was just a regular woman and not someone famous or an idol. He thought she was so pretty and wow did she have some curves. And of course, he couldn’t forget how sweet she was when they first met earlier in the day.
Funny thing is, while Jungkook was busy fawning over the pretty brunette, Jimin grins widely beside him.
When Siri turns and makes her way to the VIP table, she freezes in her steps as soon as she sees who the customers are.
Her eyes widen and the colour red rushes to her cheeks so fast it’s hard to miss. “O-oh my gosh!” she blurts out before letting out a small surprised laugh. “Well hello again!”
She waves at them then bows, feeling very flustered she’s meeting the BTS members once more.
Jungkook lifts his hand and waves enthusiastically, all big and energetic like a kid spotting someone he knows across a playground. Jimin laughs at the sight, shaking his head fondly before offering a softer wave of his own to the brunette.
“Hi,” Jungkook says warmly.
Siri approaches their table holding the wine bottle tightly while her heart races from nervousness. “I, uh… what a coincidence.
Jimin smiles brightly, “You work here?”
“Yes,” she answers with a nod. “I’m staff. I usually work nights.”
Jungkook watches her with his doe eyes all curious, seeing her fidget with the neck of the wine bottle before she remembers to straighten up and look professional.
“Would you like some wine?” she asks, gesturing to the bottle.
“Yes, please,” Jungkook replies.
“Please,” Jimin nods.
Siri moves to Jungkook first since he’s the closest. She pours carefully, watching the light gold liquid fill his glass. He lifts it almost right away, sniffing it like he sees people do in movies before taking a sip.
His eyes then widen. “Ohh,” he says, voice full of genuine amazement. “Mashitneunde!”
Siri bites her bottom lip to keep from smiling too wide while she pours for Jimin and a staff member she could reach. After watching a few RunBTS shows and K-dramas, she understood what Jungkook said in Korean.
“Amazing!” Jungkook says, skulling down the rest of the wine before he holds the glass out towards Siri again. “Please, more. Give me.”
The cute broken english along with those big doe eyes staring up at her looking all hopeful, it made Siri’s heart melt. Wow, this is thee Jeon Jungkook! He’s adorable!
Siri laughs softly, “Yes, okay.”
She pours again while Jungkook watches the level in his glass rise, awe written all over his face when it turns out that she’s giving him the rest of the wine.
When she finishes, Jungkook looks up at her with sparkling eyes. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” she replies, still smiling (and blushing).
Their eyes meet and once again, something is in the air between them. Jimin notices straight away, glancing between the two with a smirk.
Siri clears her throat, back to being professional. “I’ll let you guys look at the menu. If you need anything, let me know.”
Just as she turns, ready to step away and continue her rounds, Jungkook’s tattooed hand snaps up to hold hers. It was almost instinctive the way he moved so fast, that it surprised them both, but truthfully, all Jungkook had in his mind was that he didn’t want her to leave so soon.
Siri gasps as she looks down at their joined hands, then back at Jungkook where her cheeks turn even more red.
He realises what he just did, and his eyes widen. “Ah, sorry!” he says as he quickly lets go of her hand while his whole body feels like it’s on fire from embarrassment. He then clears his throat, and knits his brows together as he tries to think about how to say his next words in English. “Uh, can you… uh… tell us… what good here? To eat?”
Jimin watches the interaction, lips twitching as he’s holding back a smile.
Siri nods and her heart flutters, grateful to be able to stay around them (and more specifically, around him) a little longer. “Yes, yes, of course,” she says softly with a smile.
She reaches for the menu in front of Jungkook, and leans in slightly to read what’s on there. She didn’t know it, but Jungkook could smell her perfume and it made him quickly lick his lips. She smelled like vanilla candy and those lips of hers looked luscious. Warm. And kissable.
He watches as Siri’s eyes move between himself and Jimin as if she is piecing together a puzzle. “Hmm,” she hums thoughtfully. “From what I learnt from your shows, I know you guys like your gogi.”
Jungkook and Jimin look at each other with surprise hearing Siri say ‘gogi.’
“Gogi?” Jungkook repeats.
Siri nods with a shy smile. “It means ‘meat’ in Korean, right? So I think you might like the tomahawk steak and the lamb. They’re very good here.”
Jimin’s eyes widen as he laughs in surprise, pointing at her lightly. “Oh! You know some Korean?”
Siri blushes harder and brings her hand up where she pinches her thumb and finger together to show a tiny gap. “Yes, but very little,” she admits. “Verrrry, very little. I can say…” She switches to Korean, “Hello, my name is Siri. It’s nice to meet you.”
Jungkook smiles brightly and claps for her. “Ohhh, very good! Nice to meet you, Siri.”
Jimin beams too, nodding enthusiastically. “Not bad!”
Siri laughs nervously, waving it off. “Oh, it’s nothing. Just a very simple sentence.”
Staring at her with the biggest grin, there was something about Siri that Jungkook couldn’t put his finger on that made him drawn to her. Could be the cute way she kept blushing like a beetroot, or the way her blue eyes sparkled that little bit more when she looked at him.
Maybe it’s the fact that even as a fan, she never tried to touch them in some way, never asked for anything, and she’s treating him and Jimin like a normal person dining out.
Or maybe it was her laugh that made him feel drawn to her. Or maybe it was everything about her?
Whatever it was, Jungkook knows one thing for sure. He likes her. When Siri is around, the room feels warmer and his heart feels lighter. He feels unexpectedly safe and cozy within her presence.
“We will trust you,” Jimin says. “We order what you say.”
“Yes,” is all Jungkook said, nodding his head eagerly, doe eyes shining like a galaxy as he gazes up at Siri.
“Okay,” she says, blushing again when she looks at Jungkook. “I’ll put the order through.”
Dinner winds down as plates and wine glasses get cleared away by the restaurant staff, and while getting ready to leave, Jungkook pushes his chair back and stands, stretching his arms out before he pats his tummy, satisfied with tonight’s meal. As they thank the staff and gather their things, his eyes drift (again) to where Siri is.
She’s wiping the other end of the long table, smiling to herself as she works while Jungkook watches her, not even realising how obvious he is.
But Jimin notices everything. That stupidly sweet, lopsided grin Jungkook wears when he’s completely gone (or more like when he’s infatuated) is back. His doe eyes are all soft, just like his smile. His body is relaxed, and from Jimin’s point of view, it was like Jungkook’s world narrowed down to one person.
Jimin couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight.
As they head toward the exit with their production staff close behind, Jungkook keeps looking over his shoulder. He’s afraid to stop looking at Siri since this would likely be the last time he’ll see her again, and his heart and mind hated that fact.
“Hyung,” Jungkook murmurs to Jimin, leaning closer as they walk. “Should we give Siri a tip?”
Jimin furrows his brows, “A tip?”
“Yeah,” Jungkook nods. “She’s very nice, so sweet, and very good at her job.”
Jimin chuckles under his breath. “They don’t tip here, though. That’s mostly an American thing.”
Jungkook’s face falls instantly. His lips go into a pout and his brows knit together in disappointment. “But I want to… She deserves it…”
Jimin stops walking then turns fully towards Jungkook. “Don’t tip her and just go talk to her instead. Hang out with her after she finishes work.”
Jungkook freezes and his eyes go wide. “What?? No way!”
“Why not? It’s obvious you like her with the way you can’t stop staring at her. You’re all goo-goo eyed.”
Jungkook stutters and his ears turn red. “E-Even if I do like her, we’re filming. We’re here for business, not pleasure.”
Jimin rolls his eyes, “Aish, Jungkook-ah, live a little. Plus,” he shrugs, “we can edit everything and turn the cameras off.”
Jungkook shakes his head, “I don’t think the staff would be okay with that.”
Jimin tuts, “You’re Jeon Jungkook of BTS. You can do whatever you want.”
Jungkook stares at his usually responsible hyung all stunned.
“It’s not like they can fire us,” Jimin continues calmly. “We’re way too important to the company. Plus, it’ll just be one night. One night in a place where no one really knows you. And don’t forget, we’re leaving for another city tomorrow.”
Jungkook swallows thickly, still unsure about this. “W-What would I even do with her?”
“I don’t know. Go find a late-night ice-cream shop or something. Go to her place and watch a movie, or maybe even sleep with her. Do whatever you both are comfortable in doing—unless sex is the only thing on your mind?” Jimin smirks, wriggly his eyebrows up and down. “It’d be the first sexy time you’ll have since the last time we had a break from the military.”
Jungkook’s eyes went wide, “What?! No! I don’t want to just sleep with her!” He looks back over his shoulder to find her, and his heart flutters just from looking at her. “B-But if I do hang out with her… I’d like to get to know her… And if she wants to, then I wouldn’t mind getting intimate with her…” Jungkook turns back to Jimin. “But I guess I more so just want to be with her. Whether that’s sexual or not, doesn’t really matter.”
“Then go be with her,” Jimin urges gently. “You don’t want to miss this chance, Jungkookie. Think about what you told me a few days ago—about your crush at dance school in eighth grade.”
Jungkook’s chest twists at the memory. The girl he never spoke to and what could’ve been.
“You couldn’t talk to that girl back then,” Jimin says, “but you have a girl right here, right now, and she clearly likes you too. And you can actually talk to her too.”
“Not really… My English still sucks,” Jungkook protests weakly.
“It doesn’t matter. You can say basic things. You can say what you need to say to show her you like her and that you want to be with her.”
Jungkook hesitates as his heart pounds loudly in his ears. Despite calling himself an international playboy all those years ago, and despite his sexually confident songs, he’s not actually a playboy. He’s a softie and he can get shy, especially with foreigners. Obviously he’s slept with a few women but he’s not like some manwhore.
“A-Are you sure this would be okay?” he asks his hyung with wariness behind his eyes.
“Yes, I’m sure,” Jimin encourages him. “You’ll regret it if you don’t do it. You won’t ever see her again, you know.”
Jungkook looks back into the cellar again where he sees Siri standing near the counter now, wiping it down. He could feel his heart yearning for her. He could feel a pull so strong, that in this moment, he has to physically keep his feet in place to stop himself from going to her.
He thinks about Jimin’s words. They are somewhere far from home. Somewhere where there are no paparazzi or sasaengs.
Plus, it’s just one night, right? Jungkook tries to convince himself. One night where I can be just a man and not an idol.
But the thought doesn’t come without some worries and doubts. What if one night turns into wanting more of Siri? What if he leaves and misses her to the point that he can’t function very well? How would they even keep in contact living in two different worlds? And what if photos somehow get out anyway? What if rumours start and he can’t protect her from the fallout that always follows him?
That fear makes his stomach turn.
But then Jungkook looks around. This place is quiet and unfamiliar. There’s no crowds chasing them, no cameras hiding behind corners. Here, he and Jimin are just two people in a city that don’t really know who they are. For once, things don’t seem so risky here. It feels like they are safe.
Jungkook exhales a little puff of air because in the end, his heart makes the decision before his mouth does, and that’s because he likely won’t see her ever again.
“Okay,” he murmurs. “I’ll stay here.”
Jimin smiles widely, very satisfied. “Good,” he replies as he pats Jungkook’s shoulder. “I’ll talk to the staff and let them know what’s happening. They’ll give you an NDA form to give to her.”
“Ugh, I hate those forms,” Jungkook does a frowny pout.
“Me too,” Jimin agrees, “but it’s to protect us—not that I think Siri would tell the world about this—she never even took out her phone to photograph us or anything—but still… it’s necessary for our safety.”
Jungkook nods reluctantly. He always hates that part.
The form. The reminder that nothing in his life will ever be simple. That even moments that are meant to be personal and private come with conditions. He hates the way it makes everything feel cold and transactional, and like trust has to be signed into existence.
Even with other idols who understand this world better than anyone, it never gets easier.
Jungkook doesn’t do NDA’s often, especially not with foreigners or strangers he just meets. Despite what people assume about him, he isn’t careless with his heart or his body. He isn’t someone who jumps from person to person just 'cause he can. He likes to have a connection if possible. And this—her—he feels it.
Jungkook looks back toward the restaurant, thinking of Siri’s gentle smile, the way she speaks to him like he’s just a person. The thought of having to give her the NDA makes something twist uncomfortably in his chest. He doesn’t want her to feel like she’s a threat or a risk.
It also matters to him that she doesn’t feel used. He doesn’t want to be with her because he’s chasing some thrill. He wants to be with her because something about her pulls him in, and he wants his time with her to be meaningful.
But at the end of the day, Jungkook knows the reality he lives in.
So, he sighs softly and nods. He will give the NDA form to Siri gently. He will (try to) explain it to her and make sure she knows it isn’t about mistrust or that he’s accusing her of being some kind of threat. It’s just a formality and something that comes with his job.
Still, Jungkook can’t help wishing, just for once, that liking someone and being with them didn’t come with conditions.
Jungkook waits across the street from the restaurant with his hands tucked into the pockets of his black jacket. He tells himself to breathe and to stay calm, and that this will all be okay.
For forty minutes he waits for Siri, and then he starts seeing staff slowly filtering out of the restaurant. Each time the door opens, Jungkook’s heart jumps, then settles again when he realises it’s not her.
But when Siri finally does step out, Jungkook’s heart flips with delight. She looks different without the apron on. Her hair is back to being loose around her shoulders, flowing to the middle of her back. She looked tired as she adjusted her bag on her shoulder (but she still looked pretty in his opinion), and he sees her exhaling heavily, clearly relieved to be done for the night.
Jungkook straightens up, and before he doubts this idea, he walks over to her.
“Hi, Siri,” he says shyly.
She freezes and her head snaps up, eyes widening as they land on a tall, bulky man wearing a black face mask. For a second, she doesn’t know who it is, but when she squints and leans in closer to get a better look at the person’s eyes, she immediately recognises who it is.
Her face beams into a bright, stunned smile. “Jungkook?” she says, happiness rushing through her voice. “Oh my gosh, hi!”
She looks around, furrowing her brows with confusion. “Where’s Jimin and your staff? Did they leave you? Are you lost? I can help you find your hotel if you want?”
Something warm spreads through Jungkook’s chest at Siri’s immediate kindness. The fact that she worried about him first—without squealing or without grabbing her phone for photos—made his heart soften completely.
He shakes his head quickly. “No, they went to hotel.”
“Oh?” Siri tilts her head, still a little confused.
Jungkook pulls his face mask off and swallows thickly. “I wanted… to stay,” he says quietly as he fidgets with the edge of his mask in his hands. “I wanted… to see you.”
Siri lets out a tiny gasp. “Y-You wanted to see me?” she asks, pointing to herself.
Jungkook nods, eyes dropping for a second before lifting again, his cheeks feeling much warmer than before. “Yes. I…” He hesitates for a moment, deciding on how to word things in English again, but then he realises that there really was no other way to say this.
“I like you.”
Siri goes completely still. Inside her head, everything explodes like fireworks. She’s internally screaming with disbelief and delight, but what slips out of her mouth is unfiltered…
“Holy shit,” she blurts out, “Jeon Jungkook likes me.”
He laughs with surprise but he’s happy to hear and see she’s stunned with awe. It eases the tension within him where his shoulders relax and his eyes crinkle at the corners.
Siri clamps a hand over her lips, totally mortified. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to say that out loud.”
“It’s okay,” Jungkook says, still smiling. “You’re so cute,” he says in Korean. “You… understand what I say?”
Siri nods, “Yes, I understood that. And… Well, I think you already know I like you too. “ She then smiles shyly and blushes. “You’re my bias.”
Jungkook couldn’t help but smile. “That makes me happy.”
He then hesitates again as his nerves creep back in. He stuffs his hands in his pockets and rocks slightly on his heels before gathering his courage. He then clears his throat, “Can I uh… Please… one night… with you?”
Siri’s eyes widened. “What??” She laughs in shock. “One night? With me?”
Jungkook nods, cheeks feeling even hotter now. “Yeah.”
“Are you sure you want to spend a night with me? Of all people??”
A sudden thought comes into Siri’s mind. Does Jungkook do this often? Does he ask pretty strangers to spend the night with him wherever he goes? Would I just be another notch on his belt?
The thought stings—and actually, it almost hurts.
But then Siri thinks about things again… Would it really matter if I was another notch on his belt? This is Jeon freaking Jungkook! This is a once in a lifetime chance!
“Yes, I’m sure,” he nods sincerely. “You really nice.” He then taps on his heart, “I feel, uh… how do you say?… uh… aish, I’m a pabo. Should’ve studied more English,” he mumbles in Korean, annoyed with himself as he tries to figure out the words to explain his feelings.
He really wished he had Namjoon’s brain right now. He wanted to be able to tell Siri that he feels a pull to her. That he’s drawn to her in some way.
Jungkook ends up chuckling with slight embarrassment as he pulls on his earlobe nervously, but all Siri did was smile softly, telling him it’s okay and to take his time.
Watching him try to find the words though, really made Siri’s heart melt for him. She’s always loved Jungkook as the idol he is, but right now, seeing him in person while he was trying to confess some sort of feelings for her, she felt like she was falling for this Jungkook. The real him. 'Cause really… How could you not fall for this sweetie pie?
“I feel…” Jungkook tries again, gesturing between him and Siri with his finger, “...something with you. Uh—no, something with… us? Ahh, sorry, my Englishy not very good.”
Siri chuckles at his cute effort, but blushes at the same time. She couldn’t believe that the Jeon Jungkook was saying he liked her, and that he actually felt something between them.
It’s sad thinking it will only be one night, but that’s exactly why she should accept, right? Because why the heck not?
Plus, she did feel the same as Jungkook. She feels something there too when their eyes are locked onto each other and in their smiles. There was definite chemistry between them.
“I understand what you mean,” she says gently. “I feel something too, so… yes. I would love a night with you.”
Jungkook’s eyes light up like a galaxy. His face transforms with pure joy spreading across it, and his bunny smile comes out. “Really?” he asks. “This okay?”
“Yes,” Siri nods confidently, but then she tilts her head with curiosity. “Oh, but is there an NDA or something for me to sign?”
Jungkook freezes, his eyes widen in genuine shock. He never expected her to say it first. “You… know?... How do you know?”
Siri smiles softly. “I keep up with your kpop world a little and it just makes sense that you’d need something like that.” She shrugs lightly. “I’d never tell anyone about this anyway, but I know you can’t just trust my word for it.”
Jungkook was in awe. “I uh… I do have paper with me… Staff give to me… to give to you.”
“That’s okay,” Siri keeps her soft smile. “Can I sign it when we get to my home?”
Jungkook nods, relief washing over him that she’s being so understanding and easy about this. He feels like a weight was just lifted off his shoulders. And the strange thing is, the more Siri speaks and the more he’s around her, the more certain Jungkook feels about her. That this isn’t awkward, and it isn’t wrong. Things just feel… right.
“Great,” Siri says, she then puts her hand out, opening and offering it to him. “Let’s go to my home then?”
Jungkook looks down and without a second thought, he places his big hand in hers where their fingers intertwine automatically. It’s as if they’ve waited to do this all day. As if this was meant to be—because seriously, what were the chances of them seeing each other again after their first encounter?
Warmth spreads through both of them at the contact, and even though they were strangers, it all felt so easy, so natural, and so perfect being like this.
They walk hand in hand towards Siri’s apartment, smiling shyly at each other under the streetlights and stars.
“So…” Jungkook starts a conversation, “are you from here?”
Siri shakes her head, “No, I’m not from here. I’m from _____, but I’m here on a work visa. Only here for three more months before I go home.”
“Ahh,” Jungkook nods in understanding. “Why you choose this country?”
Siri internally giggled at how cute his English was again. He might not be able to form proper sentences, but he was still very good regardless, and it’s great that he could understand most of what she was saying.
“I wanted to get far away from my bad ex,” Siri explains. “Do you know what I mean by ex?” she asks when she sees a little hint of confusion on Jungkook’s features. “Like he was my boyfriend—well, we were going to get married, but not anymore. He treated me badly. He didn’t like me seeing my friends or going out without him. He also hit me a few times.”
Jungkook frowns instantly. That part, he understands. His chest burns as he looks at Siri with anger and disbelief. How could anyone hurt her? How could anyone try to cage someone so warm and kind?
“I’m sorry he bad to you.”
“It’s okay,” Siri replies with a small shrug, though her eyes stay soft rather than dismissive. “He’s long gone, and I’m happier now. Very happy.” She squeezes Jungkook’s hand where it eases the frown on his face, replacing it with a gentle smile.
They walk in silence for a few steps before Siri speaks again with curiosity. “So… how long are you and Jimin here?”
Jungkook hesitates because he hates the answer himself. “We, uh… go to new city tomorrow.”
“Oh.”
Siri’s heart sinks instantly at the realisation that they really do only have tonight together.
Jungkook sees the disappointment flash through her eyes, and he feels the same as her. It sucks they only have this night together, and it hurts knowing that their story already has an ending.
“It’s okay,” Siri says quickly, trying to smile the disappointment away.
Jungkook nods, even though it doesn’t feel okay at all.
They only have tonight, and it’s exactly why every moment together, starting from now, matters so much more.
Without saying anything else, Jungkook’s fingers curl more tightly around Siri’s. She responds by holding onto his hand just as firmly.
In that moment, they both unknowingly decide the same thing. If tonight is all they have, they’re going to make the most of it.
