Chapter 1: A Betrayal As Beautiful As Roses.
The oppressive Atlanta heat clung to April's skin like a second, unwanted layer as she fumbled for her keys, the grand porch of her Buckhead home offering nothing but sunburn. Inside her purse, her phone was a brick of disappointment, its screen was silent and blank, indicating another day of fruitless job hunting in a city that seemed to have no place for her.
She tilted her head towards the driveway and saw the sleek, black Porsche sitting pretty in its usual spot. Hillary is home early, she thought to herself.
April walked into the house and was greeted by the sight of deep red rose petals scattered recklessly across the clean floor. April's breath hitched in her throat as she scanned the scene. She set her bag down slowly on the couch and continued to scope the scenery.
She looked towards the dining table and saw two wine glasses and a bottle of red wine sitting seductively on the table. She walked giddily towards it smiling sweetly. She noticed that the wine was already opened.
She chuckled to herself thinking that Hillary must have been indecisive about whether to pour the wine into the glasses himself or not.
They hadn't been the best of pals lately, constantly at loggerheads, no romance at all and constantly throwing jabs at each other. So, this gesture of his was really heartwarming and refreshing to April.
As she continued her journey up the stairs, she noticed that the flower petals were now accompanied by a line up of tiny lit candles.
Although April considered the act of lighting candles in broad daylight quite ridiculous, this act still made her heart melt. She bent down making her luscious auburn curls cascade down her face and neck and picked up one of the candles.
She brought the candle to her nose and inhaled its combination of vanilla and lavender scent. She smiled widely, forgetting the horrible day she once had. She dropped the candle and fixed her hair with her fingers.
She was obviously in the mood now. She walked up the stairs unbuttoning her shirt a little, showcasing a beautiful cleavage.
April was too occupied with the thought of the surprise which probably awaited her behind the closed doors and a long awaited evening of romance that she didn't notice the red thong, sprawled along the railings of the staircase.
She walked seductively towards her matrimonial room but her steps immediately hastened as she drew nearer.
The romantic feeling she once had was replaced with fear and panic as her ears were filled with the familiar sounds of passion.
She got to the door and pushed it open, revealing Hillary in a tight sweaty embrace with another woman.
April stood stunned for a few seconds, taking in the moans and grunts of her husband and a strange woman. “Oh yes baby!” The woman moaned loudly, throwing her head back as she rode Hillary.
Hillary growled in return, grabbing a fistful of her hair, forcing her head down to look at him as he thrust into her. He cupped her left breast with his free hand, fondling it “ahh yes” the lady moaned again with pleasure. “You like that don't you?” Hillary asked now as he grabbed her throat.
The lady nodded vigorously, her mascara streaming down her face in black streaks. The pleasure which surged through her body made it difficult for her to speak.
April had seen enough, and the initial feeling of shock which she once had weared off for a split second.
“Hillary!”
She screamed announcing her presence to the couple. The strange woman hopped off Hillary with a start pulling the sage green bed covers which April had picked out two weeks ago to cover herself.
She looked terrified and was about to scurry out of the room when Hillary snaked his hands around her pulling her into an embrace. “Oh calm down will you. The fun part just started” he said in a low voice while he kissed her sweaty forehead and twisted her left nipple.
“Your wife is here” the strange woman replied in a hushed tone as she struggled to get out of Hillary's perverted hold while keeping her eyes fixed on April's shocked figure standing at the door.
Hillary turned his eyes lazily towards April, eyeing her up and down before saying in the same lazy tone “alright, the wife is here. Get your things and get going”.
On hearing those words, the strange woman shot up so fast, grabbing her things. She was searching frantically for her underwear then remembered that she had thrown it somewhere on the stairs and made a move to hurry out of the room.
Hillary gave her ass one last slap before she could run out of his reach. She lowered her pace as she got to the door, conflicted between running past April or just standing there. April stared at her with eyes already stinging with hot tears before looking away.
This gave the strange woman the chance to run.
By now, tears had begun to stream down April's face as she watched Hillary, her stare demanding an explanation from him.
“How could you?” The words finally managed to leave her mouth.
“How could I what?” Hillary asked as a response to her question, his tone cold and devoid of any form of guilt.
He stood up from the bed, stark naked, his member still erect and dangling from the earlier activities he was engaged in. He was obviously, in some sick twisted way still turned on.
He moved about, clearly irritated now, looking for his packet of cigarettes.
Hillary smoked.
A terrible habit he had started recently which pissed April off.
He finally found it and lit a stick, he filled the room with puffs of dark smoke in seconds. Puffing the smoke in her direction without a care in the world.
April charged at him, yanking the cigarette of his lips and throwing it across the room making Hillary flinch.
“How could you cheat on me in our matrimonial home on our matrimonial bed with some cheap whore?” She asked again, this time, rage filled in every word.
“Oh come off it” Hillary replied in a condescending tone.
“ You knew this was bound to happen “ he continued on. “ You walk around all day, carrying on about getting a job and building a fucking career that you've lost yourself. You've become exhausting to even look at and I had to do what I had to do “. He concluded his speech with both hands raised in the air in surrender.
Hillary’s words hit April like a bus going above the speed limit.
April was short of words. She couldn't believe that her husband of five years, the man whom she had loved with all her heart, whom she had given everything to including her virginity was the one saying this.
By this time, Hillary was getting dressed.
April picked up the glass cup which was sitting on the dresser and hauled it at Hillary's direction, narrowly missing him.
He turned to her swiftly, his eyes wide with shock before laughing manically. “You've finally gone crazy” he added amidst chuckles while clutching his sides.
April was infuriated. He brushed past her as he folded the sleeves of his shirt and tried to light another cigarette all in one stupid go.
April followed after him in hot pursuit.
“Hillary you bastard son of a bitch” she cursed “you are such a low life and a coward. How can you still defend your actions? After everything I have done and sacrificed for you!” She screamed out of breath.
“What did you sacrifice for me?” Hillary boomed back, making April stumble backwards.
“Everything!” April screamed again.
“My virginity, my career, my whole fucking life. I gave you everything” April spat, her eyeballs bulging out in fury.
Hillary seemed amused by her outburst “do you really think that's worth anything?” he asked with so much glee. “ I could get that anywhere and from anybody” He added smugly.
“Get out” April said finally, her voice sounding like a whisper while her chest heaved.
“What did you say?” Hillary asked mockingly, his lips curling into a small smile.
“ I said get the hell out of this house!” April screamed on the top of her lungs, as hot tears streamed down her face.
“With pleasure ma'am” Hillary replied as he took a bow in April's direction. “And who knows, maybe I will see Cynthia on the way and we can continue from where we left off”.
With that, he grabbed his keys and walked out into the sunset, slamming the door so hard the windows rattled.
He left a bewildered April all by herself, sealing her in the house, engulfing her in his betrayal.

Thanks for giving my book a try, even though you had to translate it. I really appreciate 😊.
As for the visuals, I would try to input some, specially for you 😂.
