Story Notes

It was a normal day, just like any other. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and it seemed like nothing could go wrong. Little did I know, the world would be turned upside down before the day was out. I was walking to work, my usual route, and I heard a loud noise in the distance. At first, it sounded like thunder, but as it got closer, I realized it was coming from the sky. Looking up, I saw a huge airship, with a strange symbol on its side. It hovered over the city, and I could feel the fear in the air. The ship stayed there for a few minutes, and then it suddenly shot off into the sky, leaving behind a trail of smoke. I later learned that it was a prototype of a new type of weapon, created by a powerful man who wanted to assume control of the world.

Summary

In the world of tomorrow, a dystopian future awaits, where power has become the defining factor of society. The narrator, a survivor of the struggles that led to this state of affairs, looks back at the events of some years past, from the nostalgic point of view of a man in his late adulthood

The Day It All Changed

I was walking to work, my usual route, and I heard a loud noise in the distance. At first, it sounded like thunder, but as it got closer, I realized it was coming from the sky. Looking up, I saw a huge airship, with a strange symbol on its side. It hovered over the city, and I could feel the fear in the air.

The ship stayed there for a few minutes, and then it suddenly shot off into the sky, leaving behind a trail of smoke. I later learned that it was a prototype of a new type of weapon, created by a powerful man who wanted to assume control of the world.

Everyone who saw the ship was scared, and soon news spread of what had happened. Rumours flew around, and the people started to panic. Everyone was asking the same question: what would happen next?

From that day on, we all knew things would never be the same. The powerful man had made his presence known, and he was determined to get what he wanted - power. Little did we know, the world was about to change forever.
