There they were, the two of them standing in the darkness of the shadows on top of a sharp grey building as the wind was heavy and the rain was coming down full of pressure. But the shape shifters had the ability with their strength they were able to handle it because of their abilities and their powers.

They were both siblings, there they were both of them with their long black coats on, human not so much but were there standing in human form.

The eldest sibling Gillian with long straight white hair; the younger sibling Talia a woman with short white hair, shape-shifting from one building to the next. In the pouring rain they were looking for something, something big and something calling them and something they needed as they jumped one building to the next.

They both stop on another high building, their eyes in that moment closed, trying to sense the energy and where it’s coming from.

Gillian felt the need to find this energy like a drug he needed so badly, that his emotions were getting the better of him.

“So have you?”

Talia feeling on edge but also irritable by Gillan rawness of anger.

“Have I what, Gillian?”

Gillian feels the air to his core, like they are running out of time, he can sense it. He looks at Talia with anger and frustration.

“Found what we came here for? Jesus, Talia, sometimes I do wonder with you.”

“Seriously, whatever. I have been looking, but it's just hard, I need to rest."

Gillian eyes widen glaring at Talia with range, physically he does nothing but his eyes say something else.

“Rest can wait Talia, we need to find this."

Talia barely recognises Gillian as though his humanity is shut off completely,

"Gillian please"

Gillian ignores Talia, he looks harder and feels the air of the essence of the power they are looking for, putting his hand out in front of Talia’s face to block her out of his way.

Seriously, Gillian, I am not putting up with this yet again, not a chance in hell. Im tired”

Gillian brings his arm down, he has felt something but is not sure if it is what he is looking for.

“Fine. We stop for a moment but you know I’m right, though. We need to get this sorted; we don’t have time to be doing this.”

Both shifters, there and then, shift their way into a random diner across town as quickly as possible with their speed being so fast no one can see them just shadows of movement of the night.

It’s dead quiet, no one is there, only one woman is working. Both shifters sit down, Talia finally sitting down feeling the erge to simply rest. Both shifters pretending to act human, trying not to lose sight of what they are looking for.

Talia starts feeling light-headed and almost falls of her seat.

Looking at the waitress, out of nowhere, Talia sees a shape appearing as if it is floating calling her, a shade of purple.

The waitress comes their way, she looks tired and underpaid. The waitress name saids Hope, Talia is on edge taking back by her name like she knows the name from somewhere, but does not want Gillian to click on how she is feeling.

The waitress hair is tied back in a bun, mid thirties with dark hair with a pen behind her ear and a pad ready to take their order.

What can I get ya, darlings?”

Talia starts shaking, she feels off like something is calling her, but unsure if it's the power and energy they are looking for.

The waitress looks at Talia and sees that she is shaking, Gillian sees the waitress looking at Talia and quickly defers the situation altogether so that the waitress does not ask questions.

Just Black coffee, please luv.”

The waitress stares oddly and notes it down and walks off, feeling a bit shaken by Talia shakes.

Gillian leans forward quietly to Talia so the waitress does not hear what they are discussing.

Talia, what’s going on?”

Talia, looking at Gillian with fear while slouched over, lets out a deep breath trying to calm herself.

Nothing.”

The waitress who is pouring their black coffee looks over at them oddly.

Gillian eyes fire up at Talia, you can see red flames in his eyes coming through.

No. Tell me now, Talia.”

Gillian slowly is losing his temper as his eyes turn more red and his voice deepens with fury.

Talia sees this and feels scared of his roar.

Okay, okay, it’s here. I can feel it. Every part of its light.."

Right.”

Gillian anger becomes heightened, he stands sharply, goes to the front door, shuts it, locks it, and turns the lights off so it’s pitch black.

Then terrifying screams follow after.

Lights come back on, the waitress’s dead body is on the floor, covered in blood.

Gillian’s mouth covered in blood though he needs a quick fix, he grabs Talia and shifts away from the crime scene.
