Whispers of the Haunted Manor
Gently flickering candlelight greeted my fluttering eyes as I regained consciousness in a cold, dimly lit room. The air was heavy with musty decay, and shadows danced ominously on the damp walls. Confusion gnawed at my mind, as I struggled to recall how I had ended up in this eerie place. It was like a forgotten dream, fading and elusive.
Staggering to my feet, I surveyed my surroundings. The room was filled with antique furniture, covered in a thick layer of dust. The floor creaked beneath each hesitant step I took. As I neared the door, it creaked open, revealing a long, dimly lit corridor that seemed to stretch endlessly into the darkness.
A whisper echoed through the halls, a chilling plea for help that sent shivers down my spine. I had two options: follow the voice and investigate its source, or cautiously explore the other rooms to gather clues about my identity and purpose in this accursed manor.
