chapter 1: me and my world
I’ve always felt that life is made up of little pieces, like threads in a tapestry, and each piece tells a part of who I am. Music has been one of those pieces for me. Sitting at the piano, feeling the keys under my fingers, I can express emotions I don’t always have words for. Each song tells a story, and sometimes it even feels like the music writes itself through me. Playing the piano isn’t just about practicing notes—it’s about feeling every chord, letting the melody flow, and losing myself in the moment.
But music isn’t the only way I create. I spend hours crocheting and knitting, letting my hands bring patterns to life, one stitch at a time. There’s a rhythm to it, just like in music, and I love how something simple—a ball of yarn—can turn into something beautiful and meaningful. The soft texture, the colors, the slow unfolding of a pattern—it all makes me feel grounded, calm, and proud of what I can make with my own two hands.
Drawing is another part of my world. With a pencil or brush in hand, I can turn the ideas in my mind into shapes, colors, and images. Sometimes I draw things I’ve seen, sometimes things I’ve imagined. It’s my way of exploring imagination and sharing the way I see life. I find joy in the smallest details: the curve of a leaf, the shimmer of sunlight on water, or the freckles on a dog’s nose. These small observations often become the inspiration for my art.
Beyond my hobbies, I’ve learned that the things we love define us in ways bigger than we realize. Music, knitting, crochet, and drawing have taught me patience, focus, and the satisfaction of creating something from nothing. They remind me that life itself is creative—each day offers a new chance to try, fail, learn, and grow. They’ve shaped my personality, making me thoughtful, reflective, and endlessly curious about the world around me.
I’ve also realized that sharing what I love with others makes life richer. Teaching someone a stitch, playing a song for someone who feels down, or giving a drawing as a gift feels like giving a piece of myself. These moments connect me to the people around me in ways words alone sometimes cannot.
This book is about me, and the life I live through music, art, and craft—a life stitched together, note by note, stitch by stitch, drawing by drawing. Each of these pieces tells a part of my story, but together they form the whole of who I am. And even as I write this, I know my story isn’t finished. Every day brings new melodies, new patterns, and new drawings, and I am excited to see where they take me next.
