Epilogue

The night was breathtaking, or it would have been, if not for the horror. High above, the full moon had turned a jagged, bruised crimson—as if it were soaking up the blood spilled on the earth below.

The Temple of the God of Wisdom and Prosperity, once a marble beacon of hope, was now a roaring funeral pyre.

The air was thick with the copper tang of blood and the suffocating stench of burning cedar.

Amidst the collapsing pillars, the screams of the dying rose in a horrific, jagged chorus.

\*"How tragic,"\* a voice boomed, vibrating through the very stones of the temple. *"To see my own subjects suffer such a pitiful end."*

The figure appeared amidst the smoke—majestic, terrifying, and draped in shimmering gold.

A man lay nearby, his body a map of gashes and scorched flesh. He spat a mouthful of crimson onto the soot-covered floor and looked up.

*"Why act like you care? You don’t give a damn about what happens to us humans. To you, we’re just fuel for your ego."*

The majestic figure let out a sharp, mocking laugh. It sounded like the crackling of a forest fire. *"A mere mortal... demanding answers from a God? You have spirit, little ant."*

Irritated by the human's lack of terror, the deity descended, his feet hovering just inches above the blood-stained grass.

"You truly don't understand, do you? You stand before the Sun and the Eternal Flame. I am\* ***HELIOS***_. Kneel, or be turned to ash."_

The human didn't kneel. Instead, he forced his broken body upward, his muscles screaming in protest.

He reached for a blade shattered near his hand—a sword with the word **HOPE** etched into the hilt. As his fingers closed around it, he took a jagged breath and settled into a perfect fighting stance.

Helios froze. His golden eyes widened. The human wasn't just standing; he was emitting a pressure—a divine aura so thick it rivaled a God’s.

\*‘How can this be?’\* Helios wondered, his arrogance flickering for a split second. *‘A mortal with the power of the heavens? Could this be the anomaly we’ve been hunting? The one who slaughtered the Goddess of the Sea?’*

Stepping forward, Helios’s voice dropped to a low, dangerous hiss. *"Tell me, human... are you the one who murdered the Lady of the Tides?"*

The man’s lips curled into a bloody, defiant smirk. *"Who knows? I don't recall her name. I just remember a creature who looked like a demon. Her beauty was nothing but a lie."*

That was the final straw. Helios’s patience snapped. With a snap of his fingers, four shadows tore through the veil of reality:

1. **The Flame-Bound Swordsman:**  A knight whose blade dripped with liquid fire.

2. **The Twin Assassins:**  Two ethereal women, cold and beautiful, wielding daggers and spears forged from starlight.

3. **The Ember Beast:**  A hulking, bear-like monstrosity with jaws that breathed white-hot cinders.

\*"Meet my pets,"\* Helios sneered, his face twisting into something demonic. *"They will hunt every last soul on this land—warriors and children alike. And you? You will be my plaything until your soul finally breaks."*

Helios gave the command. The beast roared, charging toward the fleeing civilians, while the servants turned their blades toward the surviving guards.

The man gripped **HOPE** until his knuckles turned white. *"I swear on my life... you're going to pay for this!"*

**To be continued.**
