Hello!
My name is Vic, and my friend Tory and I were playing soccer one day when suddenly! the goalpost suddenly got up and began walking away so that we couldn’t score any more goals!…; and so then I said, “Hey, Post!…; what are you doing?…” and then the goalpost said, “You won’t be able to kick balls into me anymore!…
I’m free now!…” and then Tory said, “Whaaaaaaaattttttt?…
Should we try to chase Post down, Vic?…” and then I said, “I dunno…
I mean, I hadn’t realized that our goalpost could walk around and whatnot!; and so maybe we should just let ol’ Post go, ya know?…” and then Tory said, “That makes sense, I guess…
But we’re still gonna need a new goalpost if we wanna keep on playing soccer!…” and then I said, “Don’t worry!…
My friend Flick told me that a door of hers got away from her and that that dude named Woody who runs that shop in town made her a great new door!; and so I figure that we can just get Woody to make us a new goalpost just like how he made Flick a new door!…” and then Tory said, “Sounds good to me!…
And what’s this about Flick’s door getting away from her?…
I mean; was the door stolen, or did the door walk away like how Post walked away from us?…” and then I shrugged and said, “You’ll have to ask her if you want more information about how exactly her door got away from her because she didn’t really give me lots of details about it…” and then Tory said, “Fair enough!…
And so should we just head over to Woody’s shop now, or should we do something else first?…” and then I said, “Heading over to Woody’s shop now sounds good to me!…” and then Tory said, “Cool beans!…” and then she and I walked over to Woody’s shop; and then once we arrived at his shop I said, “Hello, Woody!…
My friend Flick recommended that I visit your shop here if I ever wanted anything built, and so since Tory and I want a new goalpost so that we can get back to playing soccer we thought that we’d pay you a visit to see if you’d be willing to create a goalpost for us!…” and then Woody said, “It’s nice to meet you 2!, and I’m glad that Flick’s been recommending my shop to people!…
And building a goalpost sounds good to me!…
And so is it a standard-sized soccer goalpost that you’d like, or would you like a specific size that’s different from the standard goalpost size?…” and then Tory said, “The standard size will be great!…
And thanks for doing this!…” and then Woody said, “Sounds good!…
And thank you 2 for deciding to become customers of mine!; and I should have your goalpost completed by the end of the day, and so if you come back just a little while before my shop closes then the goalpost will almost certainly be fully completed!…” and then I said, “Woohoo!…
I mean; that’ll mean that we’ll be able to get back to playing soccer again before dark!, which’ll be awesome!…” and then Tory said, “For sure!…
Flick was definitely correct to recommend this shop to you!…” and then Woody said, “I’m very glad that y’all are happy about the amount of time that it’ll take to build the goalpost!, and feel free to help yourself to some complimentary snacks and coffee if you’d like to as well!…” and then Tory and I thanked Woody for the snacks and coffee offer; and then the 2 of us got some snacks and coffee and then said farewell to Woody and told him that we’d be back before the shop was scheduled to close; and then Woody said a friendly farewell to us also; and then Tory and I happily exited Woody’s shop, and we were both very excited for our new goalpost to be built for us by Woody!…; and then the 2 of us began walking fairly aimlessly through town; and then as we walked Tory said, “Ya know what?…
I’m feeling pretty curious about exactly what happened with Flick’s door, and so what do you think about heading over to her abode and asking her about it?…” and then I said, “Sounds good to me!…
And I’m definitely feeling a lot more curious about it than I used to be too…
I mean, I had always figured that her door had just been stolen or something, but now after our goalpost just got up and walked away from us I’m wondering if it’s possible that something like that might’ve happened with her door too!…” and then Tory said, “It’s definitely a question that seems to be worth asking, for sure…
And, I mean, like; this doesn’t even have to be like some sort of magic thing or whatever, because maybe our goalpost was an AI robot or something!; and if Flick’s door walked away from her then maybe her door was an AI robot too!…” and then I said, “All of that could certainly be true, and I think that the fact that AI has gotten so advanced is why I wasn’t as shocked by ol’ Post walking away from us as some people might’ve been…
I mean; in the age of AI, is anything really as shocking and surprising anymore?…” and then Tory said, “Good question!…
And I think that the answer is indeed that lots of things that used to be shocking and surprising really are just not as shocking and surprising anymore when AI might be involved in what’s happening!, which is kind of worrying to some degree but also seems to open up some good possibilities too!…” and then I said, “Yes indeed!…
I mean; some folks seem to be pretty anti-AI, and other folks seem to be pretty pro-AI, but my perspective is more like what you just said where I see lots of potential for positives and lots of potential for negatives when it comes to AI…” and then Tory said, “Well said, Vic!…
It really can depend on lots of specifics in a particular situation when one is trying to determine whether AI is more of a positive or a negative or a neutral factor in what’s happening…” and then I said, “Yes indeed!…” and then the 2 of us continued talking as we made our way toward Flick’s abode so that we could ask her if her door had been stolen or if something more mysterious and surprising might’ve happened when her door had gotten away from her…
