Lila never planned to fall in love with someone like Ethan. Mysterious, intense, and impossible to ignore, Ethan enters her life like a spark—unexpected and dangerously captivating. What begins as a simple encounter quickly grows into a powerful connection neither of them can deny. But the deeper their feelings grow, the more complicated everything becomes. Secrets begin to surface. Jealous rivals appear. Misunderstandings threaten to tear them apart before their love has the chance to truly begin. Just when Lila starts to trust her heart, a shocking accident turns Ethan into the center of suspicion. Suddenly, the man she believes in more than anyone else is surrounded by rumors, accusations, and questions no one can answer. As the truth becomes harder to see, Lila must decide whether to believe what everyone is saying—or trust the man she has fallen for. But the deeper she digs for answers, the more she realizes something far more dangerous is happening behind the scenes. Someone has been manipulating events from the shadows, turning love into suspicion and trust into doubt. With emotions running high and the truth slowly unraveling, Lila and Ethan are forced to confront jealousy, betrayal, and the fragile nature of trust. Every choice could pull them closer together—or destroy everything they’ve built. Because sometimes love isn’t just about finding the right person. Sometimes it’s about fighting for them when the whole world is trying to tear you apart. In a story filled with passion, secrets, rivals, heartbreak, and redemption, Lila and Ethan must survive the shadows surrounding them to prove that some sparks are powerful enough to become an unbreakable flame.

Chapter 1.

Chapter 1 – Meet Cute

If Lila had known that a simple trip to the café would change everything, she might have taken a different route.

The morning air was crisp, and the scent of freshly brewed coffee drifted from the small café on the corner. Lila pushed open the door, shivering slightly, and was immediately enveloped by warmth and chatter.

She reached for a menu when her shoulder bumped someone else.

“Oh! I’m so sorry!” she exclaimed.

The man she collided with didn’t react like most people. He paused, his gaze assessing her, sharp yet curious.

“It’s… fine,” he said. His voice was calm, measured, yet there was a faint edge to it.

Lila noticed his eyes—green, intense, like he could see more than she intended to show.

“I didn’t mean to—” she started again.

He smiled faintly, just enough to unsettle her. “I know.”

Something about the interaction made her stomach twist in a strange, unfamiliar way. She shook her head, trying to dismiss it as imagination.

The café was busy. People moved around, their conversations blending into a soft hum. Lila found a table, still stealing glances at the man—Ethan, she would later learn—who had quietly taken a seat at the counter, sipping his coffee and reading something on his phone.

He looked up and caught her looking. For a heartbeat, their eyes locked, and the world seemed to shrink.

Then, abruptly, he stood, grabbed his coat, and left the café.

Lila blinked. The moment was gone. Just like that.

Her mind whirled. Who was he? Why did he make her feel so flustered? And why couldn’t she stop thinking about him even as she sipped her own coffee?

Cliffhanger: Ethan leaves mysteriously. Who is he, and why does Lila feel inexplicably drawn to him?

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
