Called Away (Book 3 of Endless!…)

Hello!

My name is Jenna!

And one day I opened a cupboard of mine so that I could get some canned peas out of it, and then suddenly! the can of peas began running away! from me before I could pick it up!; and then I was like, “Whaaaa????…” and then the can of peas began speaking! as it ran away from me, and the words that the can of peas said were, “You’ll have to find something else to eat, Jenna; because I’m gonna be living the dream! instead of being gobbled up by you!…

Booya!…” and then the can of peas sped! out of my abode! before I had even managed to begin trying to chase it down!…; and for a second I wondered if I should dash! outside to search for the can of peas; but then I decided that it wouldn’t really be worth the trouble since I had lots of other food inside of my cupboard too; and so then I grabbed some canned soup out of the cupboard; and then before long I was eating the canned soup and drinking some water and coffee…; and then as I ate I began wondering what to make of the can of peas who had sped! away from me like that, and then I also began wondering if more of my canned goods were going to be escaping from me out of nowhere!…; and then suddenly! I realized that my train of thought was reminding me of something, but I wasn’t quite sure what it was…

Hmmm…

What did an escaping can of peas and concerns about more of my canned goods escaping remind me of…

Aha!…

It reminded me of how my friend Flick had told me that a door of hers had mysteriously went away and had needed to be replaced, and she had even been considering hiring some detectives to try n’ figure out what had happened because the whole thing had been so bizarre!…; and, I mean, I hadn’t ever actually thought that the door had just sprinted away or something like that, but our situations had similarities because in both cases there was a mysterious and bizzare departure and a concern that there might be more mysterious and bizarre departures!; and so it had been those similarities that had caused me to think of the situation that Flick had had to deal with while I’d been considering my own situation…: but, anyhoo…; where was I, again?…

Ah, yes!; I had been wondering if more! of my canned goods were going to end up sprinting! away from me! (like that can of peas had done!…); and I certainly hoped that it wouldn’t happen again, but since it had happened once that meant that surely! it was possible that it could happen again!, wasn’t it?…

Hmmm…

But now my mind was wandering over to being curious about whether Flick had ever actually hired any detectives when she’d been worried about the possibility of more doors ending up mysteriously missing…; and so then I decided that I’d just give her a call so that I could ask her about whether she’d ever actually ended up hiring detectives or anything like that in regards to the mystery surrounding the door that she’d had to replace…; and so then I got my phone out and and then quickly went over to her name in the list of contacts that were in my phone, and then I pressed on her name so that I could begin the call!; and then I listened to the ringing that was now beginning and hoped that she was currently available and would be able to answer the phone…
