Amazing and compelling
"An excellent dystopian sci-fi. Given that it is part of a series, it has a slow build up. This of course contributes to in depth character development. I had some frustrations with regards to Alyssa allowing herself to be degraded. However, I think the fact that she is only 18, quite sheltered, genetically engineered to respond to STRIKE and loves bdsm, and that she acknowledges when she is accepting toxic behaviour makes up for it. Her character does mature throughout the book and it sounds like there is a lot more to it than we know. I can’t wait to read the next one! "

Funny, Cool, Enthralling, But be warned!
"This dystopian story is really filled with a lot of suspense and a very intricate plot. The lead character Alyssa, whilebeing objectified, dominated and "used" for several purposes, is none the less feisty, strong and smart. But be warned: this story also contains very peculiar adult scenes that might not be to your likings... While my tastes lie elsewhere, these scenes however fit perfectly into the characters'tastes and actually helo paint a very true picture of the relationships in this story. I will start on book 2 immediately."
