CAN'T BUY ME LOVE

*At moonlight city University*

A young guy probably in his early twenties was dressed in a light green shirt ad worn out black jeans with noticeable black stains all over was carefully walking around the university campus as if afraid of breaking something he couldn't afford.

Although he had a strikingly handsome face, his disheveled appearance made students look down on him, bully him and avoid him as if he was kinda plague.

But no matter the disdainful glances he received from everyone, with his carefree personality, he seemed to care the less as his handsome face maintained a calm expression as he continued his way around since he was accustomed to it.

His name was Adam-Jean Ingram also called AJ lngram by his few friends. After a few minutes, he reached at the entrance of a cafe within the university with words " little sunshine cafe" above it and stopped.

"I wonder what this broke janitor guy wants here, he can't even afford a glass of water here". "Looks like he has come to clean the mess around". "hahaha!! i almost forgot about that".

As AJ Igram stood by the entrance he had disdainful voices fading away but his face remained expressionless, some people were luckily born to have a soft life but he was not one of them. Life had taught him that nothing came easily, everything had to be earned, fought for in order to survive.

After he cleared his thoughts, he made his way inside. " hey little AJ, care to help me take this to table 13?" just then, a friendly middle aged man politely asked with a smile. Its not like he could refuse this friendly buddy even if he wasn't in the mood to help. "sure old Lee" . "can't he stop calling me old Lee, am i that really old" Lee muttered.

With that Adam-Jean Ingram walked away quite pleased with himself as he managed to get back a this Lee who always call him little AJ.

At table 13 was a beautiful girl, dressed in a white super short skirt, a black blouse that tightly hugged her ample curves, a pair of white high heels, with light make up on, and her hair tied in a neat bun.

"here" Adam-Jean Ingram said politely. As she looked up at the source of the voice, her eyes flashed with a hint of disdain but she quickly masked it and flashed Adam-Jean Ingram a smile and said thanks to him.

AJ was suprised and wondered if she isn't the same Aylin Blair who never misses a chance to pick at him. "anything else?" when he had her speaking, he snapped out of his daze and quickly shook his head then turned to leave and started cleaning around.

Hardly had he finished the cleaning when he was pushed hard but fortunately, he didn't loose his balance. "What do you mean by this?" he glared fiercely at the offender.

"Oh AJ Ingram! you mean i can't even walk around. And...you know better that with those stained clothes of yours you look just like junk so its natural that i didn't see you" with that the entire crowd that had gathered to see what was going on burst into laughter.

"but anyways, isn't the main purpose i approached your today." AJ Ingram frowned deeply as he waited for her to continue. "Considering that i know you, i can help your get a more paying job other than working as a janitor here, its more embarassing for a guy like you to do such."

There was silence in the room as everyone was left speechless by Aylin Blair's words. It is important to note that it was well know all over the university that she and AJ Ingram have a very poor relationship and that she always tries to make things difficult for him whenever she gets a chance to.

When AJ Ingram had Aylin Blair's words, he quickly pieced everything together and knew that she was up to no good but anyways he decides to play along and see her next move.

"A job! i will be glad if you can help me out. By the way, which kind of job?"

" janitor! It wouldn't be difficult for you. After all you are quite experienced....but don't worry, at our Blair family company, we reward abundantly and the salary is even better than some good jobs outside there. That's enough to cater for your living expenses, right?"

"hmmm!... thanks for your generosity but am not interested am contented with what i have." Adam- Jean Ingram replied lazily and the crowd burst into laughter.

With that, he turned to walk a way but just then, he had a sharp voice ringing in his ears "am not done yet." and the he was pulled back again.

Coming from the Blair family, she was pampered like a princess. She felt utterly embarrassed for being ignored and not being given attention.

He glared at her but she said smugly," if looks could kill, i would have been already dead from your glares." With that, she threw herself in Adam-Jean Ingram's arms.

AJ Ingram froze for a moment. But before he could snap out of his daze, a young man come out of nowhere and landed a punch squarely on his pretty face accusing him for assaulting and flirting his girlfriend.

Amongst the crowd, some were clearly enjoying the drama while others were feeling sorry for Adam-Jean Ingram but could only silently pray for him to be saved after all who would like to cross the Blair princess.

On seeing this, Aylin Blair was pleased that she had managed to get back at AJ Ingram who had humiliated him and then affectionately hooked up her arm with Alan Brown's, her boyfriend.

"brother Alan....looks like this orphan guy can't stop bothering me. If he has sme feelings for me, why not voice them out ." AJ Ingram stared at her in disbelief. how shameless, he thought.

"haha! What a funny joke!" The crowd all turned their attention to the source of the voice.

They all wondered who had the audacity to speak up fo Adam-Jean Ingram ad at such a crucial moment.

Its worthy to note that Adam-Jean Ingram had barely any friends because he was too broke.
