Prologue
Sometimes, I feel like no one really wants me here.
Like I’m the problem in everyone’s life.
The heavy baggage my family wishes they could throw away.
The friend who was never anyone’s favorite.
Ito siguro ang dahilan kung bakit marami ang pinipiling maging makasalanan.
Dahil sa ganitong pakiramdam—yung pakiramdam na parang walang tama sa buhay mo.
And that’s why I chose to be a sinner.
A sin I knew could never be forgiven,
but I still chose it anyway.
Dahil doon ko lang naramdaman na may oras at panahon para sa’kin.
Doon ko naramdaman ang panandaliang saya.
Doon ko naramdaman ang pagmamahal at atensyon na matagal ko nang hinahanap sa sarili kong pamilya.
But while I was busy holding on to that happiness,
I ended up hurting the people I hated the most.
And because of that hate, I blinded myself to my own mistakes—
chasing revenge that, in the end,
only broke me deeper than anyone else ever could.
Maybe… this is the price of my sin.
Maybe happiness was never meant for someone like me.
Because why does it have to be so hard, so impossible for me to feel happy?
Why does it feel like my dreams are always just out of reach?
It might sound petty to someone who’s never felt the pain of being ignored by the very people who were supposed to be your home.
