🎬 Chapter 1 — The Scream Within the Silence
“Reality isn’t remembered. It’s constructed.”
Night…
The city wasn’t asleep.
But there were sounds.
The kind no one else could hear.
The hum running through power lines…
The invisible signals behind phone screens…
The thoughts people never say out loud…
And there was someone who could hear all of it.
Ren.
He stood under a streetlight, hood over his head, hands in his pockets.
His eyes drifted toward the people passing by.
A man was talking on the phone.
“Yeah, I’ll handle it tomorrow.”
Ren frowned slightly.
There was something beneath the man’s voice.
A lie.
It wasn’t just a feeling.
It was as if something unseen flowed with every word he spoke.
Ren blinked.
Everything snapped back to normal.
He took a deep breath.
“It’s starting again…”
He lowered his head and kept walking.
Past
The same city.
But quieter.
Warmer.
A small house.
The kitchen light was on.
His mother stood at the stove, stirring something.
Ren leaned against the doorway, watching her.
“Couldn’t sleep again?” she asked with a soft smile.
Ren shrugged.
“I couldn’t.”
She set the spoon down and turned toward him.
“Stop trying to solve everything on your own.”
A brief silence.
“Some things… are meant to be lived.”
Ren didn’t respond.
But he never forgot that moment.
Because that was…
the last moment everything felt normal.
Alone
Ren’s life had always been the same.
He didn’t talk at school.
He wasn’t close to anyone.
But he noticed everything.
The way people looked at each other…
The tone in their voices…
The things they tried to hide…
And because of that…
he never felt like he belonged.
At night, he sat in front of his computer.
Headphones on.
Hours passing.
Just staring at the screen.
But that night…
was different.
That Night
There was a strange link on his screen.
No source.
No description.
Just a single line:
NULL://ACCESS
Ren paused.
Something inside him told him not to open it.
But his curiosity…
was stronger.
He clicked.
The screen went black.
Completely.
The room fell into silence.
The music stopped.
The fan stopped.
Everything stopped.
Then…
a faint vibration began.
An invisible hum.
Ren’s heart started racing.
“What the hell…”
he whispered.
The screen suddenly lit up.
But there was no desktop.
Nothing.
Just a black background…
and a blinking cursor.
Ren moved the mouse.
No response.
Pressed the keys.
Nothing.
Then…
a letter appeared.
Y
Ren froze.
Another one.
O
Then—
U
His breathing quickened.
He slowly leaned back in his chair.
But he couldn’t look away.
The letters continued to appear.
WE SEE YOU.
The room shifted.
The light flickered.
The walls glitched for a split second.
As if reality itself had fractured.
Ren jumped to his feet.
“Who’s there?!”
No answer.
But something was there.
Watching him.
A sharp ringing filled his ears.
His vision blurred.
His legs gave out.
He collapsed.
And as he fell…
he saw one last thing.
A new message appeared on the screen:
“Welcome, Ren.”
His eyes slowly closed.
And just before everything went dark…
a thought crossed his mind.
But it wasn’t his.
“You’re… not human
.”
