Kosmos: War for Existence

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Kosmos is a world of magic, steel, and ancient myths made real. Creatures that should exist only in legends walk freely across its lands. Races from countless cultures coexist, and the world itself feels strangely familiar—like a distorted reflection of Earth, reborn into something far more fantastical. For many, being reborn in such a world would be a dream come true. For him, it is as well. Kosmos is beautiful, but it is also cruel. Honor and glory can turn into misery overnight. There is no plot armor here. Experience matters. Preparation matters. And if your enemy is stronger or more skilled, you die. Survival is earned through training, study, and relentless effort—not through destiny or divine intervention. As he struggles to survive day by day, taking on dangerous missions and facing beasts born from myth and bloodshed, unanswered questions follow him everywhere. Why was he brought to this world? What is Kosmos, truly? And why do the most evil beings of this realm share disturbing similarities with the demons that once haunted humanity on Earth? This is a long-term progression fantasy with a serious tone, focused on growth, consequences, and a world that does not forgive mistakes. In Kosmos, power is not given. It is earned. And Christopher Hope will learn that the hard way.

Prologue

An Ancient Legend

What do we call a god?

The closest idea would be that of an absolutely supreme being—one of infinite intelligence and boundless wisdom, holding absolute power over all that once existed, all that exists now, and all that will ever exist.

The creator of everything… and of nothing.

The one who surpasses infinity itself.

The purest entity to have ever existed throughout all eternity.

The most powerful presence in all of existence.

And the one responsible for bringing other gods into being.

The Ten Warrior Gods.

According to the oldest legends, in an age so ancient that even the concept of time had yet to exist—an era older than existence itself—ten gods came into being, each wielding power that nearly brushed the absolute.

It is said that evil emerged from living beings… but what if that was not the truth? What if evil, in its purest form, was not born from the weak, but from one of the gods?

With the birth of the Ten Gods, a faint whisper stirred through existence for the very first time—a tiny, trembling spark of negativity.

If the positive exists, then by universal law the negative must also exist—only then can balance be preserved.

That first spark of negativity took root within the god regarded as the strongest of the Ten Warrior Gods.

It grew slowly and silently until it threatened to corrupt the mightiest and purest among them.

With no other choice, the Warrior God was forced to cast out that growing spark—now anything but small—and seal it away for all eternity.

But that spark of negativity would not allow itself to be erased without a fight. After spending an eternity sealed away, it was neither destroyed nor redeemed. It was simply… forgotten—like so many things the gods fear to face.

That spark awakened to its own consciousness, giving rise to the one who would proclaim himself THE ENEMY OF THE GODS.

Existence continued its natural course, expanding and transforming into the infinite. As the eons passed, the first traces of life began to emerge throughout the universe.

Intelligent life became the pride of the gods, who watched with fleeting amusement as life advanced and evolved.

But then THE ENEMY OF THE GODS emerged, and with him began the universe’s torment. Evil spread outward, corrupting all of existence and driving life toward extinction.

Evil was winning… and as a consequence, existence itself began to wither.

The Ten Warrior Gods would never allow such a dark and blasphemous being to interfere with the designs of the mighty Father Creator.

Thus, the Ten Warrior Gods marched onto the battlefield and confronted the absolute evil that—because of them—had come into existence.

The clash between those eleven divine beings gave birth to a small world within another world. That world was named Kosmos, the place where what is now known as the FIRST GREAT BATTLE FOR EXISTENCE took place.

THE ENEMY OF THE GODS was cast into the deepest reaches of Kosmos, imprisoned beneath an overwhelmingly powerful seal: THE SEAL OF ETERNITY.

One day, that malevolent existence will break free again—and when it does, it will threaten not only Kosmos, but every world born within creation.

Echoes of the Future

The gods are not evil beings… they are indispensable to us.

Very well, I want all of you to see how that magic you believe to be useless can be used in many ways.

Well… yes. I read books on magic and martial arts, and before I realized it… I already knew it. But I still had to train. Even so… it’s still impossible for me to defeat my father.

It’s not a beta-class, nor an adult beta… we believe it’s an alpha-class.

Remember, children: any magical beast can be potentially dangerous.

You must remember that your opponent will not be willing to wait for you to finish devising an attack plan. What they will do is attack you as soon as possible to prevent it.

Water nymphs are somewhat different… they don’t have bluish skin like mine… I am a beautiful naiad.

No, no, no! Don’t take them away! They’re alive! THEY’RE ALIVE!

I hate youuuuuuuuuuu! I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!

A Daimonas.

I killed it! I KILLED THE DAIMONAS! That monster should be dead.

GIGNIT IS OUR HOME! IT IS OUR WORLD! WE HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO GO!

You must kill it as soon as possible… if you don’t… that monster will destroy Gignit.

The miasma is gone! It’s no longer consuming you!

FREEZE IT! YOU MUST FREEZE IT! THAT WAY I CAN USE EVERYTHING I HAVE LEFT IN ONE FINAL ATTACK, AND I SWEAR I WILL ERASE IT FROM KOSMOS!

No reward is necessary. This town was my father’s home… so helping was the least I could do.

Thank you, Mom…

I love you too… I love all of you.

“These are the new echoes of the future that come from his ‘new life.’”

“Another life in Kosmos.”

“Why bring him at that age? Wouldn’t it be better to do it when he reaches maturity?”

“That is impossible. Death reached him prematurely. If we do not bring him back at the moment of his death, the cycle of reincarnation will begin anew.”

“I understand. If that is the case, even that world would be in danger of being consumed by the children of absolute evil.”

“And the seal will weaken even more… there is no time left.”

“And the gears of destiny still do not turn… the prophecy remains asleep.”

“We only need time…”

“Time we do not have. The end is approaching.”

“The beginning has begun.”
