Chord C [Gon Hin La Mor]
“Don’t fall in love with me. I’m not the kind of person you think I am.”
The cold, indifferent words came from those beautifully shaped lips, accompanied by puffs of cigarette smoke. His face looked icy yet was filled with an irresistible charm—one that made you feel captivated no matter how many times you looked at him. Even though the listener knew full well that this man wanted to push him out of his life as much as possible... some kind of energy radiating from deep within him made all feelings of discouragement melt away completely.
“You’re really good, huh? Reading other people’s minds now.”
“...” Silence enveloped the two of them, but the intense emotions boiling inside one of them always managed to ease the unbearably tense atmosphere.
“Do you remember the first day we met... the song you sang... the day I fell in love with you at first sight?” One hand of the younger man reached out to put an AirPod in the ear of the person in front of him, his face bright and his eyes sparkling, showing no sign that he was affected at all by those hurtful words.
‘Look at the moon when it obscures the starlight, afraid every time because I am just a rock, fearing the stars won’t shine down on the ground, and a rock like me will never be beautiful’ - Gon Hin La Mor / Soul After Six
“Enough.” All the intentions conveyed through the song— hoping to help the person in front of him relax with its rhythm—were rejected time and time again. Even though not once did it shake the love he felt for this man, he had to admit that sometimes it made the young man’s heart twitch painfully for a moment, along with a stinging feeling. And the AirPod earbuds were flung to the ground almost every time.
But that steadfast feeling only wavered for a split second. It never undermined the unwavering determination and consistency he had for this person... It just irritated him, pricking at his heart for a brief moment, that was all.
“You think acting like this will make me cry and run away like in some sad music video? Even if you reject me a thousand times, there’s no way you’ll get rid of me that easily, damn it! You’re mine, Kim, and you can’t escape me.”
“Chay...”
The taller figure let out a weary sigh before Porchay pressed play on his iPod for a certain song and placed it beside the person he was utterly obsessed with.
“Don’t be sad alone...” Porchay said calmly, the words also being the title of the song he was now trying to play for Kim to listen to. Then he slung his backpack over his shoulder and walked away from the place.
“Damn it! Didn’t you say you wouldn’t run off all depressed and dramatic?”
“I’m leaving! You asshole!!!”
(Note: Song titles referenced: “ ก้อนหินละเมอ” by Soul After Six, and “อย่าเสียใจคนเดียว” which appears to refer to a song with a similar theme of comforting someone not to grieve alone.)
