"What did I love about this story? It had believable characters, a connection between the protagonists that was funny and normal, a wonderful setting, an antagonist that I hated, but was ultimately wrong about, at least in part, a supporting role that I utterly misjudged, (nice to be wrong in that way) and an underlying theme, that I've always been in agreement with. It was well written, well paced, and even though frustrating at times, because we know, life if often just that, brought it all to a satisfying conclusion. It was dosed with just the right amount of humor as well. If there were any technical issues, I missed them as they would have been minor, so kudos on the editing"

In this book the author has done something marvellous when everything starts with a glare and an attitude, I will not tell you how that ends but I will say this, it's really rare to find such a talented author who can practically make you see what she or he is seeing. The images the faces and even the feelings are so well described that you can actually have the same as they do or they experience. We all need a little magic in our lives. So I would totally invite you to read this book , totally worthy of your time! "

"The world-building is exceptional—reimagining the story of 'Beauty and the Beast' as a dark, generational curse adds such a deep and tragic layer to the plot.The dynamic between Evelynn and King Sovrin is the heart of the story. I love the constant tension between them: from the intimate, mysterious night on the beach to the cold, harsh reality of the throne room. Evelynn is a fantastic protagonist—she is a healer at heart, but her fierce defiance and refusal to be a 'pretty prisoner' make her truly inspiring.Sovrin is a masterfully written 'gray' character. His struggle with the beast inside him, his jealousy, and his hidden guilt make him complex and fascinating. The recent chapters, where he realizes the 'loophole' in the prophecy regarding Evelynn's past, were brilliant! I am hooked on the mystery of her unique power and how their bond will evolve in that silent, secret library. Absolutely loved this book from start to finish! The plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat, and the chemistry between Sovrin and Evelynn was beautiful. A well-deserved happy ending! Highly recommend! 🌟❤️"
